I recently bought a refurbished LG G8X off of eBay and noticed that I couldn't update the phone past Android 9. OTA would fail and LG Bridge says "cannot check software version" when trying to update and "your phone information cannot be checked" when trying the update error recovery. Checking the software version says "V10c-LAO-COM". Does anyone else with the LM-G850EMW model have this same software version?

I also tried to update it from LG bridge but it also gives error while checking for updates "Cannot check the software version. Try again". Does anyone have any idea ?

Recently I replaced my LG V10 motherboard come with Lollipop 5.1.1, then I update to Nougat through LG Bridge. But when it restart to new Nougat OS it cant detect my sim card anymore... Also, the model also changed from H961N to H960A.
Any solution to switch the model back to H961N?? I tried to flash back to Lollipop but now the phone only stuck in download mode.
LG Bridge detected is H961N which is the correct model, while in LGUP is H960A.
Have you seen if the IMEI was modified?

I'm on RETUS, unlocked carrier and bootloader (via motorola online tool), rooted w/magisk.
I got an system alert to update to android 11. When I hit update now it says "0% complete" "step 2 of 6" "step 3... of 6" "%1" then "Update failed. There was a problem."
I've got updated to Android 11 using Recovery App on XT2093-7 (aka AT&T prepaid).
Didn't get an update notification on AT&T prepaid phone, but got it on XT2093-4 (aka carrier unlocked) and decided to try flashing XT2093-4 Android 11 firmware to XT2093-7 only to bootloop. Then I restored with XT2093-7 firmware et voila I've got Android 11 on AT&T prepaid phone too.

What is "Recovery app"? I'm still getting the update and failure. How can I get the firmware and update/flash it (without data loss)?
