I now have a Gear S and a Gear 2. I was thinking about keeping the Gear 2 as it is smaller and better for occasions when I am wearing a suit and such. It looks a little fancier. It doesn't seem I can use the same apps on both. If I download an app for one watch, it doesn't seem it can then be downloaded again for the other. In order to get my old apps to work on my Gear S I had to uninstall them from my gear 2. If I can't I will just sell my Gear 2.
Any suggestions?

I downloaded a few apps, however, I cannot seem to be able to uninstall them.
What's up with that? Can someone please help me?

Do you see the apps listed in the Samsung Gear Manager->Settings->Uninstall Applications ?
If you see them there, press the red "-" button to the right, it should ask you if you want to uninstall and if you press "OK" then it will uninstall it.
Note that companion apps need to be uninstalled manually from the phone, removing the GearS app doesn't automatically remove the Android companion phone (or at least i don't think it does).
No, these are apps strictly for the watch, installed to the watch, but don't give me the option to click any red "-" to delete/uninstall like other apps...?
Is AVG protection (the free Version) a good antivirus?
There are free better ones?
And paid?

Thanks, but in "all of that garbage" clean master is included
I use it for having more storage because it let's me to have an ancient version of apps that occupies less storage
Before update to android 6.0.1 I could make it in the settings but now I don't find it
This setting exists (on my android version) or do I need this app for this function?
How can I uninstall the apps that came with the phone, the phone only allows me to disable them?
To uninstall system apps you must be root user. Then use Titanium backup to uninstall. Antivirus not necessary. Sorry my English

Anyone have any tips in disabling bloatware, like the microsoft apps? Think it would be good to have a thread on it.
I've already uninstalled facebook by running the follow commands in adb:
Code:
adb shell
pm uninstall --user 0 com.facebook.services
pm uninstall --user 0 com.facebook.katana
pm uninstall --user 0 com.facebook.system
pm uninstall --user 0 com.facebook.appmanager
Anyone know how to do the same for the microsoft apps, what about the alternative which is to disable the apps? I see a lot of apps I will never use that I cannot disable. Is there a good app on the play store that will let me disable these apps? For example I would like to disable the gallery and use Google Photos directly, or maybe Samsung Health.
I've also remapped the bixby button with bxActions, the benefit of doing it this way is I haven't had to go through the Bixby setup process first.
So if anyone has any other tips of knows the package name of the microsoft apps, would be to good to have it all in one thread,

AdHell3 is the way to go.
Oh fair enough, cheers will take a look.
If anything I've been using package disabler pro.. Disabled all the bloatware. Definitely running much smoother.

Do you have a list of apps you disabled or can you export your XML file? Thanks.
Second - Adhell 3
system wide adblocking PLUS the ability to disable whatever you want...
Code:
pm list packages | grep microsoft
This will list you all package names containing Microsoft.
Same can be done for linkedin and others.

Which version are you using. I have installed 15.0 which worked on my S9+ & now S10E ( snaps)
Apparently the one I had purchased for my GS9+ doesn't work so I had to buy the new version 15, works now.
Unlocked?
I purchased the Unlocked ver 10e from BBuy. This model does not have all that crud The only stuff is the Google and Samsung apps. I am glad I don't have to force remove that carrier stuff. So I don't need root yet. :cyclops: :fingers-crossed:

Check and see if you get VoLTE, Wifi calling and HD calling. Most of the time, at least on carriers like AT&T, they won't provision those features for an unlocked phone...

The dev does that on purpose to make more money. Apparently he does this every time Samsung releases a phone. Very shady
Very shady indeed
I am more interested in completely disabling bixby
Where can I get the list of apps as "com.facebook.services"?
I cant get Adhell 3 to work

I agree but so are these phone companies, they are doing the same exact thing, coming out with small, incremental upgrades each year so if you spend $1000 on a phone each year, spending a couple bucks on a new app isn't going to make or break the bank for anyone.
Hello,
I'm looking for an android launcher that doesn't have the function to uninstall apps. I just want to be able to uninstall apps in android settings. Do you somebody may know one?
Thanks
