I got Windows 11 when they were testing it in windows insider, even though my PC isn't eligible, they ended it and I can't and won't continue getting Latest windows 11 updates, oh I can't even leave Windows Insider without doing a clean install, so my question is how can I get on the latest Windows 11 update without the need of doing a clean install?

After seeing whole lots of forums and now knowing my i7-6700 was an unsupported CPU and I was never going to get win 11, I still signed up to the windows insider program.
Even then, I tried to install the beta from the insider program to install it and same CPU notification and installation blocked. That was about 4pm. Later in the evening about 4 hours l8r I did my usual check for updates on my win 10 and it started to DL a few 10 updates then all of a sudden said windows 11 upgrade is available, download? So I did and it installed without any hassle and really quickly as well. 30min maybe and then did a few minor subsequent updates to 11 such as security after. Compared to over an hour to do a recovery install (without deleting files option from boot media) of 10 when you're having issues. A few hours almost to install 10 if you're doing a complete wipe and install.
Now I'm sorry, but I'm not actually replying to help with your problem lol, cos I was going to do the registry edit method (but didn't end up needing to) so had already done all my backups and recent restore point just a few hours prior. Lol.
I wanted to ask is that how you got your win 11 or similar process? I only signed up to the windows insider program several hours earlier which had still said no install to my PC and all of a suddenly a fully operational and what appears to be non-buggy version became available and installed itself on my unsupported CPU PC. Now I will add, of ALL the criteria the unsupported CPU was the only factor not met when I tried to install b4. So really I'm just a bit confused how it became available, seems to be operating just fine, contrary to all advice and even discussions just hours earlier by MS moderators on official MS website saying it will never install on unsupported CPU just like that.

Hi .
I'm planning on upgrading the rom on my MDA Vario II (Dutch).
First I want to unlock the CID. I've got a 1.04 bootloader.
Recently I upgraded to MS Vista (RTM).
When I try to run the patched radio upgrade I always get a ERROR 150.
Yes.. I'm in bootloader mode. It's says IPL-1.01 and HERM300 SPL-1.04.
Could it be Vista??
yes its vista its had something to do with the sync tool in vista they will fix it according to a earlier post next time use the search function there is a thread about Vista and Ruu
I don't think they have released Mobile Device Center for Vista RTM yet... Right now, you see the phone as a drive... Or did you install the beta MDC?
both. I access the phone through the explorer. And I have the beta MDC setup for syncing with outlook etc.
This has been posted a million times, but here we go...upgrading ROMs will not work on Vista until manufactuers update their usb driver code on the installer; until then, use XP/2003. By the way, is that pirated Vista you have?
cant he just upgrade the rom from SD? I have a (legit) final of vista, but havent tested it yet, since i dont see the need for an uprade atm.
I have the Mobile Device Center installed and it all works perfect.
So, if you cannot do it, due to a bug in Vista, maybe the SD works
You have to be careful as if the program crashes during the upgrade of the rom you can brick your device, so I will stay with XP or SD card way to flash a rom.

I have Vista RTM and I confirm that the MDC is not stable enough for all these update work... it failed for me a few times and I'm lucky with my 8525 and it is still working OK after reflashing it with another PC (XP).
Aha. That explains that.
I've just managed to get my JasJar stuck in bootloader mode after trying many times to upgrade the ROM. This, despite the upgrade tools telling me there are errors.
Curses.
Apparently people don't know how to read what I posted...
ITS SAFE
I already flashed my Universal with Vista
-First need to install MDC, could be beta from MSDN, because it will update.(still don't know why it's not included on RTM)
-Run compability mode WIN XPSP2
-Run as Adm
thats it...
ISN'T Safe!

I am testing vista since CTP (Community Technology Preview), then RC1 (Release Candidate), RC2, now RTM (Ready To Market) as Technet Plus Member.
I can't say is safe to use it even for day by day syncing, I have always unpredictable results; my TyTn sometimes is a Smartphone, sometimes Pocket PC, syncing? may be, every time you connect you have to guess...
This happens because Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC not included in Vista RTM) is still in BETA 3 stage, not even RC!
LESSON LEARNED
If you plan to install VISTA and you are a WM expert or just business user DON'T upgrade your XP, just install VISTA on a second HD and use your XP to solve the VISTA problems. Even Virtual PC 2007 (good to have with XP installed to have available some appz still not VISTA upgraded) couldn't use USB port, so no way to have a safe "old style" USB connection
Isn't VISTA fault, is a new tecnologies-early adopters problem
One of the most common source of problems with vista are USB drivers (no way in my knowledge to have a simple webcam working with VISTA)
This has great importance when you are doing something "uncommon" and "mission critical" like flashing something!
I'm getting this problem.. on flashtool. My flashtool gets installed with only partial options and even those don't work properly. Tried it on Win 7, win 8 but no luck. Both windows versions x64. Tried using admin rights for everything too. But on my win 8 desktop, I got it working after 10-15 installs, somehow. But I had to format my OS and lost all data.
I read this but since I dont have enough posts, I cant post there for help.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38995465
I downloaded flashtool version 9.10.1 from androxyde.github.io
Googled this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40808538
I not sure about using old version so I didn't try an old version.
Warranty repair so roll back to official ROM needed - the dreaded 260 error comes along to haunt me ;/
For information:
Windows 8 on home theatre PC and XP threw up 260 errors over 2 days, tried everything! including using a high spec a Sony EC450 micro usb cable.
A fresh install of Windows 7 SP1 and all updates seemed to do the trick, glad I kept my first notebook - 2004 Acer Aspire, came in handy ! (running 7 well on 700MB RAM). Windows Mobile Device Center/ActiveSync (XP) does not sync on any of the Windows versions for me with Mozart so I assume Microsoft blocked things in Zune/Mozart updates since the early 2010/11 hacks ?
Found disabling automatic updates and manually searching for driver updates in Device Manager more productive as auto update misses versions out - Windows 7 Phone seems to have a June/0, Oct 10, some time in 2011 driver (which worked for me) and a later Zune driver.
Now back on a original official ROM
Hope any of this^ helps some1 out there universe

Anybody successfully install the latest KIES on their Win7 64 bit machine?
I saw another thread 2 years ago, but it has no solution to it...
Does anybody have a workaround or a way to get it install?
Mine failed when it try to register nkwab.dll, i think it was trying to use the 32bit regsrv32.exe to register the 64bit stuff... but can't really force the installer to do anything...
Tried to update to the latest 64bit java.
Tried to clean the registry.
Tried an older version of KIES.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Which version are you tying to Install ?
I have Successfully Installed Samsung Kies v2.5.3.13052_10 (on Win8 64bit & Win7 64bit) without any problem.
I think the Latest version is 2.60.13064_2
Not tried that one yet
Uninstall your Current version of Java & Kies
Reboot your System
Just download and Install Latest version of Java
Java 7 Update 25 (64bit) from LINK
Then Reboot your system
And then Download Latest Version Of Kies From LINK
And Install it..
Thats all...

I was trying the latest version on Samsung website.
But anyhow, F that $hit. I tried everything. I end up just installing the Samsung driver package myself, then hook it up with Odin. Kies is a total fail. Wasted me a day on it.
This is what I've tried and done before:
Uninstall and install Kies
Uninstall and install Java (64 bit)
Ran CCleaner
Reboot, and deleted the Samsung folder
Ran CCleaner again
Tried a couple of different version of Kies
Bottomline, Kies doesn't work with 64bits Windows 7, judging by the error message, Kies was trying to run the 32bit regsvr32.exe to register some dll, but it should've ran the 64bit version of regsvr32.exe under Windows/system instead.
I got my stuff working now, go here:
http://www.modaco.com/topic/361286-...or-mobile-phones-15270-win-87xp-adb-fastboot/
Get the driver pack (you may want to google the latest driver pack instead)
Install the driver pack
Run Odin
:good:
That's a bit jumping to conclusions ? Just because it doesent work on your pc - you simply call that Kies doesent work on Win7x64 ? That's weird because i have it installed - and never had any issues with it ?

I had an older version of Kies Mini installed before for my old phone that worked too, and that was 2 years ago. But the new one doesn't work, in fact if you google it, tons of people are having issues with Windows 7 and 64 bit, and yet Samsung doesn't do anything to fix it. Is not my PC's issue because Kies installer was trying to register its dll and failed. The error message was saying that the application (Kies) was performing wrong operation. Like i explained before, I suspect Kies installer is calling the wrong command to register its dll.
Anyhow, Kies is not needed now. I never liked Kies anyway, especially the new one, it looks like iTune...
I don't have any problems with Kies and Win 7 64 bit as well. Currently running 2.60.13064_2 version.
In fact I have Kies installed on my PC December last year without any issues. It is weird that some of people do have installation or stability problems with it when others don't. It's gotta be something not 100% kosher with the application.
Use of Kies on XDA should receive a lifetime ban .

Okay, so you installed Win 8.1 and are having driver issues. You are not alone, 8.1 does not recognize your phone, so what to do right? Do you want to wait until HTC releases a driver that works? Sure you could, but you want a fix now don't you. Well, you are left with only 2 choices. Either downgrade to Win 8 or dual boot Ubuntu, or your favorite Linux distro. I tried both, and both solutions work. So, for all the 8.1 fastboot questions, there it is. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it is what it is. none of this works well, or at all on 8.1. I am back to Win 8, and it's all good again. Don't upgrade if you want to play for now.

your right but HTC has already fixed the problem it's called hboot 1.55. If your already s-off and on hboot 1.55 windows 8.1 is no problem at all. getting your phone to 1.55 s-off on a 8.1 pc is the problem. I had to return to windows 8 only long enough to get the newest firmware flashed and immediately returned to windows 8.1 and fastboot works fine.
Note: I use acronis true image to backup and restore my windows drive between windows 7 - 8 - 8.1, it only takes about 15-20min to fully change OS from one to the other and back. I have windows on a 120gig SSD and all my programs installed to D:\ and E:\ drives, it works really well.
Great news on the 1.55, there have been so many questions about it, I felt the need to post something to help. I wonder then if the converted GPE's that are on 1.54 will get the new Hboot. My converted Dev Edition already has it. Would certainly solve a lot of problems.
