Orientation not working after Downgrade

I currently run my HTC on 3 uk and dowloaded my firmware so that I can upgrade it!!
However when I completed the downgrade my Orientation is no longer working when I turn the phone. tried to re-calibrate it etc but to no avail. Has anybody got any answers on this to help me out please?
Firmware is 1.5
Build number is 2.73.405.5
Regards Ray
Sorry I meant to ask is Firmware 1.5 the latest officially from HTC?
It may be a bug in that version, to be honest if you're going to flash a new rom you probably won't have to worry about this. Worst case you flash back to the original rom which came on your phone and send it back if it's still not working.
I would carry on putting a custom rom on your phone. It will probably fix it.
did you try to wipe the rotate settings ? It's in recent recovery roms under wipe menu ...
Yes, I did wipe it when I added the 1st ROM onto my new phone. I wiped it again this morning to try to recover it. Is there anywy I can restore it?
Just to let you know the orientation is now working again after downloading NeOroM 1.2 and its update. The version is excellent and works perfect like my daughters HTC Desire 2.1 officail firmware. I think its the best youre going to get near to it until HTC releasse the official version.
Thanks again for all your help guyz !!

[Q] Is it necessary to make a backup of a brand new Galaxy s2?

Hey Lads,
i'm about to get my GS2 this week and i'm asking myself if it is necessary to make a backup from the stock-firmware.
I had a galaxy s before and as soon as I got it I went flashing everything I could get my hands on without doing any backaup.
So my question is if I need to make a backup to get back to stock when I for example want to send it back for service or something like that.
Or does flashing a stock-rom, from the forums, have the same effect ?
Well I think this will have the same effect but I'm not 100% sure.
greets
How do you backup the stock firmware?
But I think you can always get the original firmware throug KIES if you don't change the CSC.
Good question... I don't know exactly but I do believe there is a way that uses ADB - something fromh the android develeopment tools.
But I dont know how this is exacly done. Maybe someone could post a link to a how-to ??
Question is ; am I able to do a official update when I actually have a custom rom installed...

Post 46 and save an original firmware for your brand .

Hey that is a very nice app. Thanks Bro.
@warranty
I know that there will be no repairs under warranty after flashing a non-stock firmware, thats the reason why I need a "clean" firmware to flash before sending it back.
wouldn't bother trying to back up the stock firmware as this can be re-flashed. just make sure you back up your efs folder!

[Q] Fixing Efs Partition

Hello, I made a post here because of me unable to use my data or send texts or calls after flashing cyanogenmod then flashing modems. The third gentlemen to comment said that my efs partition was screwed up. So I want to know if anyone has any fixes for it without having to go the a samsung service center as he stated? I was debating on putting this on my S3 (SCH-R530U posting here since there is no section for my variant of the S3) but I'm not sure if that would fix it since my model number is SCH-R530 yet software says that it is the R530U so I'm unsure what effect that would have on my phone. Also I don't recall having the LK5 or LG1 modem on my phone prior to flashing cyanogenmod. Also, what would be recommended to backup before doing this so I don't completely lose everything? Thank you for any suggestions or answers!
Hi! Since you did not make a backup of your efs folder you are gsm/hspda/lte/sms/mms done for i'm afraid. First of, did you flash a CM version specifically for your device or a version for the s3 international/other variants?

I did indeed download the correct version of cyanogenmod for the Galaxy S3 for US Cellular (sadly)
I would try and flash the latest stock rom available from my carrier/country and if that doesn't fix it then i would search on xda/google if my situation happened to someone else before and take this as a last resort.
As always, if you still have warranty then try and flash latest stock rom available and unroot the device so that you can benefit from the warranty. Keep searching until you are sure that the above link is the only way. Best of luck to you!

My T-mobile S5 is on 4.4.2, should I update to 5.0?

I can't seem to get a clear answer searching the forums... I've been on stock, unrooted 4.4.2 for a while now and all is working fine. The OTA update (for 5.0) is sitting on my phone and I just keep delaying the install. I've been tempted to get one of the new ANDROID AUTO radios and in order to do so, I'll need to upgrade to Lollipop... But I keep reading about bad experiences with the tmobile 5.0 variant.
Anyone on tmobile stock 5.0 happy? Is everything working? Battery life good? Wifi not dropping?
For that matter, anyone on stock 5.1.1 happy? Does mhl still work?
I'm not super interested in rooting (I will if I have to) or running custom roms (I really need wifi-calling) -- just worried the stock OTA experience is borked.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

5.1.1 is noticeably quicker than 5.0 or below, however it has a major MHL bug, i.e. it does not work! Just purchased the MHL adapter (wasn't aware of what I was missing...it's awesome), but had to downgrade to 5.0 in order for it to work. My guess is a 5.1.1 bug fix ota is likely in the works....I hope. Anyway you can freely Odin flash between any firmware version for this device.
Thanks!
Updated to 5.0. Everything seems to be running smoothly... I'll hold off on 5.1.1 for a while until there's a bug fix.

Need Confirmation I545PP running OC1

I have the galaxy s4 under prepaid that has firmware i545ppvruaoh7. I've looked everywhere online, can't find that specific firmware and it's been over a month since requests were put on firmware sites for example sammobile. Not one has put the firmware out yet. I'm becoming impatient because I'm not able to tweak until I have that firmware to fall back on if anything were to go wrong. So I've thought of a possible alternative. I'm sure some others have already done it but I use the s4 as my actual phone. It's not really a testing phone cause if it don't run, I'm out of a phone. I don't have any spares ether. So I'm looking for someone to confirm that losing via Odin Oc1 or the other one I can't think of that runs lollipop on postpaid. Some said it works, others say it don't. So if someone can use Odin on a prepaid s4 with postpaid firmware I'd appreciate the help. I hope all would work on the phone without any errors or problems
Has no one tried this yet?

Well so am I but just root isn't enough. Why have root if you can't go very far with it? We need that backup so we can take the risks and be able to recover from it
