I‘ve been using my Xperia 1 III for three months. At first I found YouTube would auto resume my pause after a few seconds, and if I pause again, it would remain. I thought it was a software issue until I flashed a several roms and did a few software updates. This issue still exists.
Also occasionally the volume will be very low before resuming.
This bothered me for a very long time and it seems to be a snapdragon 888 bug.
Anyone has a solution?
I also have this problem. It is really annoying. Had it since launch. I'm also using the Chinese 512GB version if that helps. I haven't found a fix for this yet. Sometimes when I pause a video it stays paused. Other times it will resume. I'm on stock ROM with locked bootloader. I think we might just have to wait for a fix from Google, for them to update the app or an OTA from Sony.
Not encountered this issue till now. European/Italian version

It happens to me too, but it's not a problem with the snapdragon 888, I also had it on one plus 5.
(Italian version)
Only when using 5G on T-Mobile. I just stick with LTE and everything runs better, smoother. Even though speed tests show that 5G is faster on this phone, the facts of daily use show clearly that 5G drains the battery faster, causes YouTube videos to buffer, and even web pages load more slowly. I believe it has to do with the way Sony has implemented 5G. So I just stick with LTE which is fast enough for 99% of anything I could ever need. YMMV
5G here in italy is a mess even on other phones. Still too early

Ok so first off, hi everyone . Newbie here with a question for you guys.
So my problem is, I have a 5 day old galaxy s2 and for some reason the camera is not performing as I expected it to.... Whenever I set it to record a video in 1080p the end result is always grainy/poor quality and the video is kind of slow. When I set it to record in 720p----and this part really pisses me off---- the video flickers at random intervals when I pan the camera around. It's quite the annoyance especially considering I spent so much $$ on this phone and you would expect it to perform as advertised. The lower res settings work fine though. BTW I'm running everything stock 2.3.4 Gingerbread (installed some apps/games and GoLauncher EX). My question is; has anyone experienced anything similar and if so what did you do to resolve the issue? If anyone can help me out or have any suggestions etc. I would greatly appreciate your help.
I did some searching around and apparently, it is a bug in the camera software as I thought.... Low lighting conditions causes a stutter effect and lag while auto-focusing in 720p. I know low lighting would have some effect on video quality but it only happens in 720p which leads me to believe its a software issue and hopefully not a defect. I dont know if all S2s have this problem but it sure is annoying and there is no official fix yet. Do any of you with rooted phones and 2.3.5 firmware suffer from this? I'm seriously considering rooting my phone now... BTW I messed around with the exposure setting in 1080p and that seemed to solve the 'grainyness' so at least I can rest easy now...somewhat. I still think this phone is the best though, no questions there. No minor issue can change that.
Does anyone know what these updates do? They just showed up on my phone today!
Was wondering the same thing. Just got them today.
I can tell you that the sound enhancer does not stop stuttering in video unless it's shut off as the previous.
HTC really needs to tell us what each update is supposed to fix grrr.
Hmmm, I got all of them except the sound enhancher. Lol that's the only one I actually use.
I´ve got all updates. Does anyone know what they improve?!
Same boat here

I was thinking.....these may be updates for Tango. Remember MS said last week or so that 5%of all apps don't work. They said they would contact those publishers and so them how they could reduce the memory the apps use. I've been getting alot of updates the past few days with no changelogs.

Might be, i have not noticed anything new about the update yet.
I also got the updates, hub, camera modes and sound enhancer. No differences noted.
Crazy that HTC releases an update for the sound enhancer that does not fix an issue they are aware of...

I was really hoping it would fix the stutter...but for me, it seemed like the stutter was a little better with sound enchancement on in 360p, but maybe it was just a placebo :/

I've had so far since the release of Titan (have it 3 weeks post-release)
4 camera updates
2 sound enhancer updates
don't use hub and watch.
The 2nd and 3rd camera updates I think fixed some issues earlier.
But the recent camera update and sound enhancer update - barely shows any difference. However I do notice that the camera brightness is little lower post-update. Anyone notice that? Or is it me feeling a placebo?
Usually as soon as I go for camera my phone used to turn to full-on brightness, now it's like 70-80% brightness, or at least feels so.
About the camera mode brightness, honestly i think it is still the same (100%)
Hi guys,
Which regions have received the update. The UK hasn't. And if you've personally received it, tell ua about your experience and whether its worth upgrading to.
You can track the rollout on sammobile. It seems that it's quite fast actually.
Got it a few days ago. Can't say I see a major difference.
There are some UI tweaks. For example, I like the layout changes in the "Settings" and totally hate the change in the Notification/Quick Panel (less buttons per page).
The current version of Good Lock doesn't work on One UI 3.0 which is a bummer, but they to plan to fix it soon (talking about February at the moment).
Don't see much change in performance or battery life.
Android 11 with OneUI 3.0 is a joke

I just got Android 11 on my sim free Note 10+ 5G in the UK this morning.
Too soon to see what's different yet.
Have to say, this is the first time in a long time when i actually feel the need to do a complete wipe. So many oddities on upgrade, Lock screen is a mess, no clock will show up, click clock in settings under lock screen no capable app available warning is shown. Click on Always On display, nothing happens (in settings it states tap to show when toggled on but does not show anything.)
Phones long overdue a full wipe so will Odin a fresh install and see how that goes
Okay well i sorted those issues forgot i had package disabler pro installed which does not work on this version, so rectified that the only issue i have left is the video camera has become unusable with micro stutters all over the place regardless of the the settings i.e image stabilisation on off hdr on off 1080p 30 or 60 hevc on off, its basically become unusable now
New Zealand - received OTA 5/2/21. No post update issues.
Before everyone gets their S22+, it would be nice for those who have the S22+ to share bugs here. Pre-ordered an S22+!
Question: What bugs have you been facing with your S22+? Do you think they are hardware/software issues?
When surfing in Chrome and Google, the screen turns off, turns completely black, and you have to slowly swipe your finger back to turn it on.
Bluetooth does not work on Renault R-link 2. It is constantly disconnected.
Bluetooth connection to the Jabra Talk 30 does not always work smoothly.
Faceunlock is a disaster, almost unusable.
And scrolling the screen is jerky in most cases, incredibly bad.
So far I have used Xiaomi MI 10 and after switching I am not happy.
I hope the first update will fix some problems.
Amazing to know about this.

I dont have any of this bugs
My only big issue is Google play services drains battery xD the rest all good, no big bugs, camera awesome, BT also
When I tap the lower half back of the phone, it feels like a spring. I think the vibration motor might be too loose. Does this happen to anyone else?
Received mine two days ago - no problems yet. The fingerprint scanner is way better than the S20, but face recognition is still unreliable.
I was impressed with the Samsung Smartswitch app that wirelessly copied everything from my S20 and set it up exactly as it was - apps, settings, alarms, custom sounds, themes, screen layouts, widgets, and wallpapers.
I'm facing an issue in the Samsung's version of Google Messages. Grouping does not seem to work for me at all. I tried clearing the app cache and rebooting as well. Not a huge problem, but still worth mentioning.
Been using it for only a few days now, and I'm very happy with the performance. Coming from an S10 with Exynos, it sure feels much snappy with a Snapdragon.
The biggest issue/bug of that phone is battery... I don't really get it, why SOT is so embarrassing... :| Other things are brilliant, but because of battery i'm loosing every inch of pleasure with using this phone... :|

Did you find a reason of that issue? I have simillar and this is annoying. Clean wipe, factory reset, done synchorinized every account didn't solve the problem... SOT is already on 3,5h - 4h :|

Actually yes, all the time since i got this phone and start using it
Yeah that seems to be common among all bad battery life users. Do you think its possible an update can fix this drain? It seems to have happened before with the S10 series but was fixed

I'm not sure... Year after year there is more preinstalled applications in this phones :| Samsung app + Samsung Dex, Google Apps, Microsoft Apps... Hardware is great i don't doubt it, but software is too overloaded in my opinion and they obviously aren't able to control it somehow :|
Dex is a nice feature, but samsung free, facebook services and other preinstalled stuff that don't really contribute are annoying

Yes, that's ture. I agree, Samsung Dex is nice feature. I hope, that next update will change something positively in SOT I really like this phone, but until it happend i'm a little disapointed because of Smartphone for that price ;D
Update: My battery issues are related to either mobile data or location services. I only used my phone at home and connected to wifi for a day and my maximum SOT per 100% doubled!
I have the bug of VoWifi (voice over wifi) is turning on and off during call.
VoWifi making normal calls impossible
Hello, i have the problem that VoWifi is interrupting calls. Looks like my LTE signal is not stable enough so VoWifi is jumping in and then the LTE signal is strong enough which kills VoWifi. So its like ping pong, VoWifi on -> VoWifi off and so...

Let's check in Wi-Fi setting is there enable option - advanced - "Wi-Fi power saving mode"?

Hi Everyone,
I'm in Canada and thinking of picking up the GT 2 Pro (global version) from a local store.
Currently on the Fido network and was wondering:
1. Is anyone having any issues connecting to this carrier? Or any other Canadian carrier?
2. Are there issues updating to Android 13 (comes installed with A12)?
3. Does WiFi connect/disconnect?
4. Should I stay away from this phone and look at something else?
tia
I'm on Freedom, no issues, except no VoLTE available (might be just a carrier thing).
It's cheaper to get Chinese version and flash Global.
Netflix may not work due to Widevine L3 (at least on chinese).
Thanks Quake.
So no issues with dropped calls or wifi cutting in/out?
Are you on A13?
I can get the global version for around $840 CAD

No issues, it's a solid phone. I've had it since summer last year. I'm on A.13 C.12. Check Kimovil.com or other website for full specs on modem bands.
Realme has been pretty good with updates and fixing bugs, they have been releasing updates approx. every month.
Double check current warranty policy. When I bought mine, Realme did not support Canadian/US market.
If you have more cash, you might want to consider Galaxy for better warranty and popularity.

1. I dont know (living in EU)
2. Nope, smooth update, without bugs.
3. Nope, wifi works great (2,4 GHz and 5GHz on WiFi6, WiFi 5 and 4 also OK) for long distances (better than any other phone I've had).
4. This phone is a good deal if you buy it at a reasonable price ($840 CAD is OK) - good cooling system (SD8 gen 1 is disaster in many phones), 3 mayor Android updates, fast charging, SOT 8-9 hours, nice OS (easy to clean), nice display.
Some may be disappointed by the lack of wireless charging and no IPxx (rain and moisture are no problem).
Thank you guys for the feedback.
It's weird that some people are having issues with this phone (i.e. battery drain, wifi/carrier connections, etc). I guess it depends on the ROM????

That's the only explanation I have. I've been using the European rom since day one, and 0 problems (A12, A13, all OK...).
My experience: Mobile data, Wifi, Bluetooth and NFC are fine, no problems. The battery could last more SOT 6,5 hours during two days of use.
I switched from HTC U12+ and I am satisfied.I only changed the launcher, but that's just a matter of taste.

Maybe competitors testing the phone
Some of the issues I have encountered:
1. Low volume on USB-C to 3.5mm adapter -> workaround is to set automatic run of a shell command via Tasker to adjust gain (needs root)
2. Stock camera app isn't color-accurate -> fixed with GCam
3. Some of preloaded Oppo/Realme apps can be annoying -> remove via adb or root app manager
4. Google assistant's read/reply to message while driving function is broken for me - not sure if this is Realme-specific or a common issue. GA will read message, but stop listening for reply.
5. No official free recovery flash tool available. Current EDL flash tool is one-time token based, so you need to pay someone (like $5) to unlock it, in case of a brick.

- Don't expect 8-9 hours SOT, some users claim to get that but most user can't get near this....5-6 maximum is what you should expect from it.
- stock camera sucks, specially for videos, if you not into using gcam and other apps for photos and videos specially if you use the front camera think twice. If you ok using gcam and, mcpro24fps for example you can get good results.
- screen doesn't seem to match the specs advertised, brightness doesn't seem the advertised and touch sampling rate is advertised at 1000hz but it only reach 125hz.
- if you want to play with flashing the device there is no oficial free tool to flash it in case something goes wrong, so in case you get a brick you gonna have to pay a ramdom stranger to access you PC via TeamViewer and flash it for you, and you gonna pay for it.
- don't expect any custom rom for this device.
- snap 8gen1 is power hungry and likes to throttle, but that's not a Realme only problem...
Those are the problems I can remember right now.
