I was a beta tester and just received the final version and ever since my phone is running very slow and burns through the battery. Is anyone else having this issue? The last beta was working great but this is horrible!
There was an update today and it's running much better now.

hello, i recently just flashed cm7 alpha 3. one particular issue which i have noticed is the choppy video playback (when on youtube for example). i searched the forums and there seems to be some people who have experienced this issue beginning with alpha 3.
since i only recently flashed cm7, and the version being alpha 3, i have no point of reference to determine which of the alphas is the most stable build.
to those who have been on alpha 2.1 as well as alpha 3, which would you consider to be the more stable build? also, does alpha 2.1 have video issues as i described herein above which i have found on alpha 3?
appreciate any insight you can give. thanks in advance.
I have used the two and three versions of Alpha. Two was a major improvement over just plain old WebOS. Three was able to remove the SOD that so many of us experienced, however Three is giving me audio issues with Pandora; a semi-regular "pop" and "hiss" sound as if I was playing a record. As I am 42 years of age, this was funny for about 3 minutes as I was able to relive my 80's childhood. And yes, I did play with DSP Manager, to no avail.
I have not experienced any video issues with Netflix or Youtube.
All in all I love my Touchdroid. As we all are, I am looking forward to a full beta on CM7 or ICS CM9.
I've used 2 & 3. Now I'm trying the tweaked cm7 xron-fied and have no problems, and considering that this is still in alpha; imagine what it'll be like once stable!
I've had no issues with video or audio.
You could use the uninstaller, reboot and install again.
Hope this helps, good luck.
my experiences with alpha 3 isn't so good lots of problem as compare to alpha 2.1
my advice is alpha 2.1 i couldn't see any noticeable improvement in alpha 3 over 2.1
alpha 2.1 is rock solid for me i don't have any issue
Maybe you should try the Xron-ified Mod ver of CM7 alpha 3, works flawlessly for me.
Any idea then a stable version of CM10.1 will come out? I'm really wanting to have that stock android experience but i want it to be stable and can be used as an everyday driver
The only issue I had with it is otg doesn't work.
This is cm we're talking about. No eta.

I think we'll see the Google Edition of the HTC One by mid-July, and the ROM could leak before it's even released which should serve as a catalyst in getting AOSP & AOKP ROM's running at full steam.
If I had to guess you'll see full featured AOSP builds by the end of July, probably not Cyanogenmod, but AOSP none the less.
Fingers crossed HTC releases some device-specific code that optimizes the camera quality and if we're REALLY lucky, some kind of in-home audio driver solution that closely mimics Beats.

I personally think the current nightly is good enough to be stable.
It will come out in due time, but don't expect it by the end of the week, or even month. The current version is reasonably stable, but expect battery life to take a hit should you use it.
It will come with this http://m.cnet.com/news/htc-one-google-edition-its-real-and-coming-in-summer/57586184

Hi everyone,
Today my wifi just stopped working for about a half hour. It was very strange. I have been home and connected to my home wifi all day. I picked my phone up to look something up on Amazon and it just would not connect. I tried a few other apps and confirmed that it was the internet so I turned off my wifi and connected to cellular and everything worked fine. It was not my wifi because my wife's pixel 5a worked just fine. Her phone had full wifi and speed with no issues at all. I have Verizon FiOS gigabit and use nest wifi with one point. I checked my Google play system update and it said I had an update available but it was only 461 kb so I downloaded and installed reset the phone and it still says Feb 1 patch then it said I had another update I installed that one and the same results and again for a third time. It still says Feb 1 as the current Google play system update so I don't know what that was about. I am on the latest Android 12L. While this was going on if I turned my.wifinon it would connect to my home network and disconnect and reconnect imtermintantly. My phone also got a little hot and was lagging alot. And now it works just fine. Wifi is good not hot not lagging.
I am hoping it is just due to the beta software. And I really hope the phone is not about to die on me that would really suck.
I am not really too impressed with this phone. I should have listened to my instincts and waited for the pixel 7 because In all reality this is a first year phone. Google has always used Qualcomm and now they switched to Samsung plus they customized it on top of that so of course there was going to be issues. Even Samsung uses Qualcomm in the United States and not their own CPU there must be a reason for that. This.phonr does have great potential though and I'm sure they are going to work it all out.
The other thing I noticed is this is basically a galaxy pixel like the galaxy Nexus. The camera the CPU the ram I think the screen and who know what else is all.samsung made.
That's the price for being a beta tester.
I suggest that you find a Android 12L thread and ask there. Or go back to what works.
Here is a link to try,

The whole point of beta testing a new OS is to work towards making a a stable OS.
Beta testing will have bugs and be unstable.
Well,
1..it is a beta software and the word Beta is all over the place....do with that word as you will
2. If you are on Beta 1, meaning feedback in 1 above does not apply to you since you are not a newbie, then I would say good on. The changes on beta 2, for me, are not that big. I mean, a squiggly line showing playback is not enough to make me move from Android 12L to Android 13 beta 2. But again if you and on Android 13 then this is a continuation of the agenda so nothing hurts to proceed. In any case there is not so much bugs compared to the first one since this is the first public facing beta.
Is it a good time to download the Android 13 beta or wait?
How buggy is it?
Just curious
Thanks

Not buggy at all for me.
The main version might be just around the corner. So might as well wait another week or two for that. Else you'll have to do it all over again.
Android 13 stable release to AOSP has a default security patch level of 2022-09-01, so it likely won't get released until September.
I am planning to wait because a few apps that I use will need to catch up to Android 13.
It's in beta, and like all betas, it's not quite ready for public release. If you want to try the new Android, go for it, but don't expect it to be stable or functional enough for a daily driver, much less perfect.
It seems as stable as my Samsung S20 was.
I didn't run my P6 with Android 12, I went straight from a Galaxy S20 (with Android 12) to the P6 with Beta 13.
The current beta 13 is very stable, but I do hit a snag every now and then. I use it as my daily driver.... and like I said, it's as stable as my S20 was....And I prefer 13 over 12.
It's not buggy at all for me. Works great!
+1 Works great.
Will magisk work with the released Android 13 version

Yes
It's stable and better than 12.
Get it in, jump.
I am on the latest Beta and see very few if any bugs. It solved most of my complaints about the P6 on 12. Fingerprint reader is improved (I'd give it a B now). The only thing that has not improved (so I suspect it is hardware) is my cellular reception. I think it is just the older modem they used. I get less reception in many areas compared to my work iPhone sitting right next tot he P6. Sometimes there is no data coming down on the P6 and iPhone works fine.
