Hi there:
Recently I OTA updated my redmi note 5 by Pixel Experience official in the system settings, but after auto rebooted by the update, the system stucked at the TWRP inital screen;
I tried to force shut it down by holding power button, then holding volume down botton, loaded into fastboot mode, but nothing changed or happened in the windows device manager, so fastboot commands are not available.
I also tried to drained the battory by leaving it alone until the TWRP initial screen off, after charging it for a few minutes, it auto powered on, loaded into TWRP initial screen, stucked again, even I booted it into fastboot mode again, there had no any android device or unrecognised device appeared in the windows device manager. I guess that the usb interface was disabled during the OTA update.
My cell phone now is an iron brick...
Phone was detected in the windows device manager, I tried 3 usb cables, the previous two were broken..., they functioned well only for charging, not for data transferring...
Sorry for the disturbing...

Hey there,
so I wanted to update LineageOS to the latest nightly (1st August) coming from an April nightly. I did it OTA, entered TWRP, installed the update and got stuck in TWRP, which is apparently a known issue with TWRP 3.0.2.0. But I didn't know that, and tried to fix it by installing a backup of CM 13 WITHOUT wiping data, because I did not want to lose my data. Stupid, I know.
I then found a fix to leave TWRP and tried booting into CM 13 but now I'm stuck in a bootloop. It shows the CM logo, then prepares apps, shows the logo, prepares apps, logo, and so on...
I can't enter Download mode or Recovery mode using the keys and adb/fastboot commands don't work while the phone is turned off or booting.
Any ideas what I can do?
Some more info:
It only bootloops when plugged into my pc. When it's unplugged (or plugged in to just power) it stays at "preparing to start". Sometimes it even leaves that screen but then the System UI keeps crashing leaving me with nothing to do but hard reboot. I still can't Recovery or Download mode tho. And whenever I plug it into my PC, it reboots
So you can't get into downloadmode with holding [Vol Up (+)] and plugin the cable into your pc at the same time?
[Edit]: Sorry, [Vol Up] is the right key.
Hi. So today, i was using my 1 year old phone when suddenly, the power/reboot screen appeared and my phone rebooted. It then started to loop every 2-3 seconds. I tried recovery mode but i coudn't hold the volume button long enough before it rebooted. I had USB debug and a bunch of other dev settings on allready and tried to use ABD but my PC didn't recognize my device. I then put the phone away for a while and turned it on. It worked. But then, it re-entered the loop and it worked again. It now is in a stable position, i recovered all my data. I suppose this may be a hardware problem but i don't know much. What do I do/how shall I fix it preferably without having to go to a repair center or something?
You can try to install stock rom but first adb must detect your phone. Make sure you install the adb/fastboot drivers and the USB drivers for your phone.

Good morning to alle? for now,
So now to my problem.
I had a lot of time yesterday and wanted to root my new Mi9 and install TWRP to adjust my device a bit. It all worked fine until the phone started into a boot loop and stopped working. Of course I booted into TWRP and reset the phone...without success. Then I deleted everything that was to delete and tried via. Fastboot Miui 11.0.5, which didn't really work. With Miui 10 it worked then and I could set up the device again. Then I thought to myself that it might now work to install Miui 11 via Fastboot (Of course it didn't). That was at 0:30 at night, so I was tired and went to bed. I switched off the mobile phone, the Fastboot mode, so that the symbol doesn't burn into the screen. This morning, about 20 minutes ago I wanted to start a new attempt, so I pressed the power button...and nothing! I also tried to press for about 20 seconds...but without success. I also charged the device for a short time, I noticed that the LED does not light up during charging. But I can't imagine that the device is empty, because yesterday it had 100% battery. Now it is hanging on the charger. I also tried to start the phone via Minimal ADB and Fastboot, didn't work, because no device was detected on the PC.
I hope that is still somehow to save, I was perhaps a little overconfident there. But I think I am in good hands here and a solution will be found.
My V30 worked perfectly for years, Android 9 running, had it rooted using the sticky guide, and Magisk installed. I had just boarded a plane on Monday, sat down, and noticed the LG screen with the bootlaoder unlocked message warning you always see when rebooting. Then it just reboots again, I see the LG logo, the bootloader warning message, reboots again after about a minute.
I also could not turn it off because it would just turn itself right back on, and go back into the loop. Eventually the battery drained and it died. When I got home, I held the power button and the volume down then plugged in to go into I think it's recovery mode, which worked, but my only options were to flash or reboot (I think, my memory is fuzzy). Then I ran LGUP and it detected my phone, but said it can't load the model from C:\Program Files\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\com.
Next I tried running adb commands against it which is working, however I"m getting back LGUS9983322eaa5 unauthorized which I don't understand because I clearly had debugging turned on (which I think is what causes that message?)
Any ideas on what to try next, or what could have happened? I had not installed anything new. This data recovery company called Drivesavers quoted me 900 to get my files off, but I have backups, and there's nothing on the internal memory I can't live without.
Thanks for your help!
I have a galaxy A7 2018 (SM-A750F) that I wanted to root. I flashed the specific TWRP recovery .tar file for my device using Odin, but I pressed the volume up + power key before the success message appeared on Odin. Now I'm stuck in a TWRP bootloop when the homepage of the TWRP mode flashes (basically just the logo and the version number) for a few seconds, then a black screen appears and the phone reboots back into the same mode when I press volume down and power keys. Eventually, the TWRP homepage screen flashes on and off and the logo appears to be distorted.
I tried accessing my phone using adb, but it shows that no devices are connected, and I made sure to enable USB debugging before the whole process. Could the usb port have been damaged because of the process? It was 100% functional.
My phone is also overheating, even when it is turned off.

I don't really know what to do at this point. I even tried tapping on the black screen but no short vibrations occurred, so I guess the whole TWRP mode is corrupted. Any help would be best welcome!
