Question Battery drain with proximity sensor - OnePlus Nord 2 5G

I have high battery drain because of the Gestures & Motions app that constantly uses the proximity sensor.
How can I fix this issue?
Device is a Oneplus Nord 2 5G with latest A.16 OxygenOS.
Thanks!

What app is this, the one that you used to get this stats?

Pressure sensor battery drain on 100% that you are probably unaware of all this time.

Use gsam battery minor monitor and click apps, view sensor usage, and click android system.
For the amount of time you phone has been discharged, the pressure sensor has been on and active 99 - 100% of the time.
Now, I've tried to find ways to doable this useless pressure sensor (also know as barometer), but to no hope.
I wonder if we can work out how to disable this useless sensor..
The pressure sensor model is BMP180: http://www.bosch-sensortec.com/content/language1/downloads/Flyer_BMP180_v5_032011_web.pdf

You are 100% wrong. I don't feel like digging around on the Web for 20 minutes to find the links, but I did do so a few months ago and found that the hardware for both a barometer and FM radio are both definitely present in all RAZRs, just not implemented in software.

I've been looking at this as well the last few weeks as a possible cause for my reduced battery drain. Ignore the pressure, it's the accelerometer on all the time that I'm curious about. In gsam you'll notice that accelerometer and pressure are listed, also, accelerometers can be used for pressure also. (currently doing that at work ) However looking at the datasheet and current draw, you would hardly notice the drain from the sensor.
I have noticed that keeping the facebook app to update every hour BUT with all the push stuff switched off in notifications, ie messages, wall alerts etc has reduced my current consumption by around 30mA. I'm currently keeping my eye on this.

S3 Battery Drain

Hi guys,
I've been experimenting with my newly bought S3.
Installed custom rom ARHD 10.0 to be specific
Installed betterbatterystats, titanium backup and setCPU.
I suppose most S3 users get a decent battery life. I noticed in some threads some users even got 1 % battery drain while asleep!
I have attached my logs. Could someone proficient in reading explain whats wrong with my battery life?

Thank you for that. Do i disable facebook totally?
^no need to disable the app. just disable the notification or set the "refresh interval" to like every 1 or 2 hours. setting it to "never" will not drain your battery

[Q] Battery drain and wakelock detector

I took the phone off the charger last night right before I went to bed at 100% and I woke up with 58% battery remaining. I don't understand what happened during the 8 hours I was asleep to now.
I attached 2 pictures from wakelock detector. The first one is CPU wakelock the second one is wake up triggers. Can anyone help me understand what happened?

Are you rooted?? If you are enable advanced Mode in WakeLock Detector then see what's showing up for you.
Or grab Better Battery Stats and post what your Partial WakeLocks and Alarms are.
If I had to guess I'd say maybe it's too do with your WiFi, Location settings, maybe even a rogue app or two but from the screen shots you posted that really doesn't seem to be the case.

Well like I said could be a number of things. Just for starters though you could make sure WiFi Always Scanning is turned off and turn off Location when not in use. Could try also use the Xposed Module NipUnBounce to limit your Location based WakeLocks so it's not waking you phone up every minute.
Also if you don't already use Greenify try that.
There's also the WakeLock Terminator app you can get from Play Store if you need it.
Seeing what your a Partial WakeLocks and Alarms are though will really help so take screen shots of those if you can.

I find keeping my phone turned off all the time has helped battery tremendously

Disable DT2W if you want to completely eliminate that source of drain.

Yes but in a slightly scale, afterall enabling it will keep the screen on and idle and wait for the DT command so disabling it should save some battery.
Dt2w is swiched off alredy and showing that

Poor battery performance on MIUI 10.0.6.0

Hi everyone,
After updating from MIUI 9 to MIUI 10, Battery backup has reduced significantly. I used to get almost 9hrs of screen on time. But not anymore.
I don't know why hasn't anyone brought up this issue on this forum!? Or is it just me?
I did a factory reset before updating my phone to 10.0.6.0, and do not even have much apps installed on the phone. Neither I've unlocked the bootloader or done anything like that. Just simply updated my phone through OTA update.
Any suggestions or advice will be really helpful.
Thanks
On the same build 10.0.6.0 but updated with the full ROM not OTA and battery performance is good
As you can see in these pics about 10 hours SOT with WiFi always on

Thanks for the response.
I've never got such high SOT, probably because I used to play games on my previous MIUI versions.
I hope someone could shed some light on the reasons responsible for my phone's poor battery backup.

Till Then you can also try to recalibrate your battery first
https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-calibrate-the-battery-on-your-android-device
After that it's advisable not to charge your phone over 90% and charge it when discharged to 20%.
Also check if there are any wakelocks that prevent the phone from going to sleep and you can use " Wakelock Detector " app from playstore for that.
