Hello!
Alright, so I thought I'd make a thread for this as I'm not getting much help in other threads.
I have a FIDO xperia U, it has a locked bootloader, and cannot be updated (officially) past GingerBread.
I want to tackle my problems as they come, but so far I've had at least 5. Alas, I am going to start with not being able to flash stock ICS on to this phone.
All drivers for flashtool are installed properly, and the phone is basically dead, it is having a restart loop issue right now but that doesn't really matter for what I'm trying to do.
When I start flashing, I get as far as reconnecting the phone in fastboot mode, here is my log:
24/011/2013 01:11:00 - INFO - Start Flashing
24/011/2013 01:11:00 - INFO - Processing loader
24/011/2013 01:11:00 - INFO - Checking header
24/011/2013 01:11:00 - INFO - Ending flash session
24/011/2013 01:11:00 - ERROR -
24/011/2013 01:11:00 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
24/011/2013 01:11:00 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode
24/011/2013 01:11:03 - INFO - Device disconnected
As you can see the phone connects in flash mode, but then the phone instantly disconnects. Basically when I unplug the phone, it is off, I then hold the vol down button and plug it back in, the phone then says "SONY" and this is where the phone disconnects, it then shows the battery charging icon.
Anyone have any tips?
Answers to questions before they come:
Device has locked bootloader
Device is not rooted
Drivers are installed correctly
Sony Companion is not open or active when the phone gets plugged in
No antivirus is enabled
EDIT: The more I look at what's going on with my phone the more it seems soft-bricked. It has absolutely no connectivity, and is in a bootloop. But still this shouldn't break fastboot, which is where my issue is stemming from.

FASTBOOT is only for unlocked bootloaders.
If you have a locked bootloader then you have to use FLASHMODE or hold volume down button when phone is off.
Please read the first 2 post in the XPERIA RECOVERY thread.
In those post you find step by step help with flashing stock firmware.
The information will be very helpful.
As for the OTHER thread not being much help, well....
To start with your request for help is less than 24 hours old. XDA is a world wide site and you have to give time for members to wake up.
And according to THE XDA RULES, that you just agreed to when you just signed up, duplicate posting is not allowed. Neither is bumping a post before 24 hours has past.
Also you made a "HELP ME" post in a thread for a specific software patch. Not the proper place for a request for help.
I personally answered you and suggested that you use existing threads to get help.
Then another helpful RC member also provided assistance.
I am not sure what you expect from XDA, a development site NOT a customer support site.
You need to learn how to search the forum for existing threads that have already covered this topic.
I have deleted your off-topic posts in the patch thread.
I am also closing this thread.
You need to use the existing help threads for your issue. It has been covered.

So I got my X5 today and immediately set about rooting it.
To start I tried to flash TWRP and that put it into a boot loop! Just the initial splash screen.
I managed to get it to boot by flashing via fastboot to what I thought is the correct firmware from the Doogee support site, however the screen is just horizontal bars.
Looking into why it seems clear the lk.bin which contains display drivers must be wrong, but for the life of me I can't find the right one! Every one I flash I get the same result.
The phone came with Marshmellow pre-loaded and build date 20170904, however I can't find this version available to download ANYWHERE! So I'm thinking either I have a new revision of X5 that no one else has properly played with and Doogee have not even put the firmware/revision info up yet, or for some odd reason I got a phone that the seller had flashed themselves with a custom ROM (it came from Amazon and the seller is 'Doogee Official Store' so I don't think this can be the case).
Anyway, any ideas are most welcome. I'm really thinking/hoping I just need the right lk.bin and can flash it alone!
Thanks!
Why don't you contact with doogee to identify which device you have and to direct you to a suitable rom file download?
I have.
Though I’ve since realised the Bootloader is set to locked and USB Debugging is disabled, so even if I get the right load I’m not sure how I will applie it!
I can get to fastboot blind, and to stock recovery blind, but then I can’t see what I’m doing to get to a point I can allow ADB or any other kind of flash.
If I had a screenshot of the stock recovery screen and the steps you can go through from there to allow flashing that might help.
I’ve tried going into the full OS and getting to settings/developer/OEM unlock blind but no joy! Again, screenshots of this process might allow me to press the right bits of the screen (along with a truck load of luck!).
I came across a Samsung Galaxy S7 that a friend of mine was no longer using. He couldn't remember the info needed to verify the phone so I figured I'd try to bypass FRP using Odin.
I've been working on this for the last few days and I've gotten nowhere. I can't get past the first time startup, and the instructions I've come across online show that I must enable developer mode before I can even begin, which I can't do because I can't find a way to get to the phone's settings from the home screen.
I've tried just about every method I could find, including methods. I can't remove the FRP. One method here got me close as I could flash the phone with odin but I still can't remove it, and that user intentionally left out extra steps which makes it even harder. I'm new to this and I could really use this device for app testing. Can anyone please help me out?
It's a Samsung S7 from Boost Mobile (Sprint). The Model number is SM-G930P.
I tried to look for the tutorial I was following here, but I can't find it and forgot to bookmark it.
Can anyone help me at all?
If there's some info missing, I can add it.
So far I have seen able to find the stock rom for it and I'm learning how to flash the phone.
Hey there, i recently decided to root my samsung s8+ as to get access to all the goodies that comes along with root, and i have been following the bounty thread instructions on how to root this particular model, and ive come along a few snags. Yes, i know that the original forum /https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/development/root-g955u-g955u1-snapdragon-sampwnd-t3658911 says to search there for questions as they are already answered, but i cannot find what i am looking for. After downloading, factory wiping and resetting the frp trip, i go into bootloader mode and open up the comsey odin. Alas, after selecting all my files the update bootloader option is still locked and the process halts there as even when i start it in regular or comsey odin it is stuck at starting process or initializing. i do not know where to go from here and would like help diagnosing and fixing this small problem if yall can be of assistance
small update
After tinkering around a little, ive managed to get the bootload update option unlocked and ran it with it ticked, and it immediately goes to fail. I have zero idea where to go from here
Hi. Hoping that this thread will be moved to the development section or wherever the mods consider appropriate as I can't post in the Development section.
I have an Samsung galaxy Fold 5G SM-F907B with the following issues: an MDM lock and an issue with the firmware currently installed.
The current installed firmware according to the recovery, I haven't been able to find it online. It's as if it doesn't exist. As a result I can't flash TWRP or anything on it. The firmware is: F907BXXU0ASH7.
Also the MDM lock doesn't let me reset the phone , flash with Odin or fully boot up the phone.
What could I do to get past this lock.
The attached pictures shows the issues.
The last picture show the lock screen that I get when booting up the phone. It's an app called Galaxy Keeper.
