In settings go to "SIM Card and Mobile Data" / click on your network operator / here you'll see a lot of informations about your operator and somewhere in the bottom , you have Network Preferred Type , click on and then you have 5G or 4G or else preferred ...

Guys i am having a problem finding the apn options on my sprint lg, The phone is unlocked for any sim, but im trying to get my 3g to work on this phone but is this option even Available?
It is under Settings / More / Mobile Networks
Then choose Network Mode
I guess if you just select CDMA, you will be forced into 3g only.
Honor 9N is a latest budget phone from Huawei Honor.
For Indian customers, it comes with network settings as 4 options ( LTE/WCDMA/GSM Auto), (WCDMA, GSM Auto), (WCDMA only) and (GSM only).
While the network signal is weak we don't get LTE band as it jumps down to the lower signal WCDMA or GSM.
Here I will explain how to enable LTE only option in settings.
Steps:
Download the app : Settings database editor
Scroll down and look for "hw_networkmode_preference" and change its value from "9,3,2,1" to "9,3,2,1,11". save it.
Then restart your device.
Now the LTE only option will be available in Settings > Mobile Network.
Remember one thing : You will no longer receive or make a call when you are in LTE only signal. It's because only Jio supports 4G calls (VoLTE).
If you are using any other Network Service like Vodafone In, Idea... Etc, use LTE only option only when it's needed and change into ( LTE/WCDMA/GSM Auto) later to receive calls.
Thanks.:victory:
Screen shot from my Honor 9N.
Values : 9,3,2,1,11,12
Gives :
LTE/WCDMA/GSM Auto
WCDMA/GSM Auto
WCDMA Only
GSM Only
LTE Only
LTE/WCDMA Auto
Changing LTE bands
I bought Honor 9N in India. To my disappointment, I cannot use it with T-Mobile in the U.S. Is there any way to change it? (Full confession: My knowledge of software/hardware is pretty poor)

My native cellular operator has very bad internet speeds.
However, when i'm in some area which isn't covered by my native operator, i'm able to use network of other cellular operator, whose network is so much better - but i'm able to do it ONLY when there is no my native operator coverage.
My question - is there any way to be always connected to that other operator? If i select it manually, it quickly switches me back to my native operator.
I'm ready to root my phone, if there is any way to do it - I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.
Thank you in advance
Have you tried changing the APN?
yes... phone is still on native network
By default, in "Mobile Network Settings" network operator is set to "automatic". But there's an option to "manually select". This will then scan for available networks, and let you chose one (obviously only possible with the desired network in reach). Having done that, whenever the chosen network is not available, you'd simply have "no network" – it wouldn't switch to any other operator, however strong his signal might be.
At least on Android Nougat this works ...
I bought a cn version of gt 5g and im in philippines. We have 5g towers and sim but it still shows 4g. And the prefered network doesn't show up. Other phones are working fine. How do I fix this? Thank you.
Set Preferred Network Mode through Hidden Menu
Since the common hidden menu code does not work on our device ( *#*#4636#*#* ), there is another way we must use. 1. Download this app from the Play Store: Force LTE Only (4G/5G) 2. Launch app and choose "METHOD3: (Android 11)" 3. Under Set...
