Hi
i need an app to remotely control my camera in my phone.
I want to click on my pc in a tool which makes my phone take a photo in full resolution.
Like good old normal cameras with remote controls.
Sony has finally released an camera control API for WIFI.
I wrote a basic control App for Windows Phone. If you are interested, please refer to the following:
Search in Store: Remote Camera (It was a red background App)
Remote Control for Sony Camera
Current Version: 0.2.0.0
Supported features:
TakeShoot, Liveview
How To:
1. Start and run the remote control on camera.
2. Connect to the camera using WIFI on the phone.
3. Open Remote Camera.
Tested in following devices:
NEX-5R
API supports devices:
HDR-AS15(*1), HDR-AS30, HDR-MV1(*1), A7R, A7,
NEX-6, NEX-5R, NEX-5T, DSC-QX100, DSC-QX10
*1: Only support Liveview.
I've released a new version, will be able to support Liveview.
Currently being reviewed, soon be able to see it.
New version 0.2.0.0 released.
Liveview already supported!
Can you please add support to both of your apps for the RX100 M2 (Remote Photo) (Remote Camera)
I'd love Remote Photo implemented first
Even if its a paid app.
Here is a thread explaining the work around for the separate JSON structure.

I will try to borrow a RX100. So I can be tested
But I'm not sure whether it can do the same function
I assume you will just need an option to switch between the two curl url structures.
The RX100 m2 supports the same mediashare and remote options as the other cameras.
it has to be the m2 (mark II)
As the m2 of the rx100 has wifi, not the original.
Testing with my phone with the current version, the app detects my RX100 m2
But when I click the photo button it just says "cannot find camera"
So the connection is there, just not the right commands being sent to the camera i assume.
Thank You for app. I have Lumia 920 and a qx10. Work very fine, but it is hard to take photos, because live view is only in portret mode. All must be in landscape mode on Lumia 920 after i piece together Lumia and QX ...
where to find this app?
Is your app still online? I cannot find it in Windows store. Did you publish your source code as well? Would be great to have!
thanks, pedro
Hello, friends.
I don't know if it is possible, and want to know for sure. I have rooted Asus ZenPad and want ro replace original camera with any program/software live streaming server (RTMP or any..). Now an example:
I have notebook with camera sharing over WiFi (any possible way). If I will open camera app on my ZenPad, it will not use it's original built-in camera, instead it will use my Notebook's shared camera (OVER WIFI IT'S IMPORTANT). Is this possible?
I have a rooted phone running on 6.0.1 I was wondering if it is possible to stream from wireless webcam stream on my laptop to be emulated as an actual camera on my phone. I would like to use periscope but I want to use my laptop camera.
Is there any way I can spoof my viewfinder? So that apps such as Snapchat, or Instagram etc use a fake static image as opposed to the actual camera input?
Or even, is there a way to use a virtual camera on an android emulator running on windows? As I can only choose a physical camera...
Thanks
