Okay, I mean what's the problem? Do you receive an error message? Brick device? Black/White screen?

Flashing With Recovery or Cutom Rom??
Hello developers or forum crossing guys.
I got flashing problems with any ROM.
Tried to use 6.0.3.6 CWM Touch or latest TWRP and PhilZ touch too.
I am still gotting status 7 - cant execute updater binary when flashing any ROM.
I am stock, rooted and running TWRP.
I tried to flash - CM 11/12, Archidroid or Blekota S5 Lite ROM, no success on anything.
Still same error, that makes me mad
Flashing recoveries/kernels with no problem.
Tried also remove the assert line, no success too.
So, my wish.
Anyone that could help me fix that? Thanks.
Tell me and i will PM you link on recovery log, xda doesnt allows me to post links

You need to update to the latest recovery. That error is thrown out when the recovery is to old to flash kitkat or higher.
Are you sure its the latest twrp? What version was it?
TWRP is really latest,2.8.1.0.
Trying to flash lollipop or KK.
PhilZ touch was latest too.

Status 7 error usually means outdated recovery try another recovery like Twrp or a newer version.

Strange Also I take it that you mean you have tried to alter the updater script when you modified the roms?
I would suggest to flash back to stock with Odin and start again and see if that helps sorry I can't be of much more help.

ive tried that for lots of times , so now im using this cm10.2 its working fine but i want to try a custom rom
anyway thanks for help mate
The recovery version must be the culprit. Why dont you install twrp from playstore? There's an app called TWTP manager. After installing twrp dont let the app reboot for you. Reboot it first then reboot into recovery the second time. Then try to install another rom

Hi,
I have rooted my alpha with cf-auto-root, installed TWRP recovery and disabled knox.
Now, any rom I'm trying to install from a zip file bricks my phone (and I can restore from a backup or can flash the stock rom with odin)
Why can't I install a zip?
Thanks!

A. androidfilehost is down. Anywhere else I can get it?
B. Why isn't it available from the TWRP manager app?
C. Noob question: Why does it even matter what recovery I'm using?
Hello,
I have samsung j2 (j200h) which is different from other j2 device ;i think it's j23g not j2lte like'em .
I've rooted it with preroot rom and it was GREAT! (I couldn't root it with recovery way because it doesn't work )
I tried to install xposed, so i flashed twrp v.3 from odin but after it's done it said "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" but my mobile is still working even stock recovery is working too!
I've searched of this problem and i found that it appears when twrp isn't compatible with the device but i didn't found any ones compatible with j200h
PLEASE HELP! !!
I Need twrp ( or any other custom recover to flash xposed file) for j200h
Thanx
u can install xposed without twrp .

No! you can't!, it's Samsung Lollipop 5.1.1, you need unofficial xposed flashable via TWRP. .

Someone tried to install the TWRP that is especially made for J2LTE on Galaxy On5. It's working, because On5 and J2LTE shared the same SoC. .
You can try TWRP that is made for SM-J120H, it uses SC8830. Your device uses SC8830 too, but you need to confirm, see build.prop. Maybe TWRP will work 100%.
