I'm having connection issues with Android Auto after the new update. I have gone into developer options and selected the default connection to be android auto and it connects for a few seconds and then says device not supported. Anyone else have this issue? Any one know a fix?

I own the X10 Mini Pro and the WiFi hardly stays on for more than 10 minutes at a time. It doesn't loose connection, it doesn't get disabled, but it just turns it self off in a way. To connect to the internet again i have to disconnect and connect to the access point. Has anyone else experienced this?
It's not a big deal, but still. Does anyone know how to fix it? I've tried to use both WiFinder and WiFi Buddy without success.
I have the same problems. It's quite annoying to restart the wifi so often. I hope that soon SE will release Eclair for it and repair this and other problems like this one. Or I will try to manage the bugfix myselft and if it won't be possible I'll give back my phone to reseller because this is not normal. I had "old" HTC Magic before and it did not have these problems.
It might be a stupid suggestion but have you guys adjusted the wifi sleep policy?
Go check in settings > wireless controls > wi-fi settings > bottom left hardware key > advanced > Wi-Fi sleep policy > select never
Does this fix the problem because I have enabled this and don't have a problem.
cheers

I cannot use this because I'm not an administrator of the wifi router. Maybe I'll try the Wifi Manager, but not now. I hope that new release will be soon and have less bugs.
Same problem here. I have set the sleep policy to never. My router is only using AES, no TKIP.

Try WiFi Power Manager from the market, solved it for me.
Today I recieve an update OTA to build number 1.2.A.1.174 and it seems that the problem with my Wi-Fi is solved ... at least for now. It solved a few another problems which I discover (f.e. changing radio station with handsfree, UI improvements, ...) but non all of them. I hope that the Eclair update will be soon.
Im using na 16gb wifi only flyer

continue.. When i disable the password wifi connection had
no problem.. But i need to set up the passworld..
Those anyone know how to solve this problem?
Hey. I had the same issue as well. I just recently got mine and I searched and found this. I'm not taking credit for this since it's not mine, but it helped me fix my issues.
1. Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings.
2. Long press the network you are currently connected to.
3. Press Modify network.
4. Scroll to IP settings and select Static.
5. Keep everything else the same, and press Save.
Someone also said that he was using an older router, like me, and so he bought a new one and it worked. But this is a FAR cheaper fix for those of us without $$.
Anyone know what the problem is where Android 6.x and now 7.x where apps do not work for connecting over temporary (non-internet connected) wifi networks to set up a device? For example I can't set up a Google Home or a Vizio smart TV, a Ring Wi-Fi doorbell or connect to a Wi-Fi action camera on my 7.1.2 device, basically anything where a device sets up a temporary network does not work, but if I dig out an old tablet running kitkat or something it work work fine to complete the setup. Since Android 6.x in my experience it will connect to the device's Wi-Fi but fails anyway as if no data is being transferred or something. It seems to be a common problem and it is something I've been dealing with for a good 18 months. Anyone know what the issue is and maybe a workaround for it?
I own a 6/128GB variant.
I have been using for couple of weeks for now.
Value for money device.
I have issues connecting my phone to car for using Android Auto. When connected it only shows a blank screen. I have tried allowing all the permission for Android Auto and apps associated to it. Tried switching on USB debugging in dev option, switched on the USB OTG option too. Nothing helped.
If anyone knows how to get this solved kindly write a solution.
Cheers.
I am also facing the same issue. I have 6 GB / 128 GB phone, USB is working fine with laptop but it is not working with my car android auto (Sony AX-5000)
Please help to resolve this issue

check this out or may be device update issue
Same problem
I too have same problem. Able to connect other phones to my car but not realme
How to fix
There's a workaround. Make sure Android auto is installed and setup. Connect with data cable to car unit. Go to Settings-> Other wireless connections. You'll see an option of USB tethering. Turn it on. It won't connect but as soon as the tethering fails Android auto starts up.
same issue with my realme 1. android auto icon does not appear while connecting it to Sony AX-5000. No connection gets established between realme 1 and AX-5000. USB teethering suggestion dont work.
Real me 1 Android auto issue
Real me 1 users: Android auto will work only on real me 1 after the Android pie update. After you have updated to the Android pie and colour os6. Connect your device to your car, you will have the blinking of choosing (charge/transfer files/transfer photos) on your phone, just leave it don't do anything about it.
Just go to (About phone) in your device. Then enable developer mode by tapping (version) 7 times. Then you can go to developer settings through (SETTINGS->ADDITIONAL SETTINGS then enable developer settings), then you have to on the (USB DEBUGGING) which will be available while you scroll down in developer settings. That's all.
The phone will get Android auto automatically. You can enjoy.:good:::highfive:
PS: After using Android auto don't forget to
off developer settings.
Hi,
Can someone confirm if EMUI 8.0.0.0 does not offer a setting to disable a certain wifi connection (SSID) ?
I sometimes have to do wifi testing and every time i select a different wifi connection it switches me back to the one I was on before.
On my old Sony Z5 (nougat) and even on my old Nexus phone running Kit Kat I was able to disable certain connections to give priority to others.
Is this feature missing on EMUI?
