Hello everyone
I'm bought myself an old genesis gt1230 tablet, with 10 inches, but its O.S is pretty old, actually, it is running android 4.0. I'd like to update to Android 4.3 or newer, but every time I try to reboot into bootloader, running adb reboot bootloader, it reboots normally. When I use the keys combination to recovery mode, it gets a black screen and never boot.
Inside the tablet settings, there's no developer options, and no build number. I've tried to tab several times every option in the "about" menu, but got no developer options. So I can't unlock OEM or install CWM to use a new ROM.
Someone owns this tablet, or has some experience dealing with genesis tablets? Thanks

Hi everybody
I have bought chinese android tablet last month.
Boxchip cougar a10c,similiar as mid/player momo tablet
http://www.bursaandroid.com/product...ghz-hdmi-support-game-3d-os-ginger-bread.html
It's came with android ice cream sandwich 4.0.1+rooted+unlock bootloader
Working flawlessly until i installed task killer app.
I used it,and after several times i killed app, suddenly there is pop up notification came.("Unfortunately Launcher/Market/Gmail/Emulator,and many else has stopped")
I reboot the tablet, but when it turn on,it is just bootloop.I reset again, and it doesnt appear anything on the screen unless the black screen only (with sometime light flashing from the screen).
Then i flashed and format it to gingerbread (2.3.4) rom from their official web
And yes,it is work and finally i can boot into home screen and do any else.
But after several time turning off and on,the problem came back again (bootloop and black screen) but somehow i manage to go to recovery mode and do factory reset+wipe data and cache, but it's useless.
I flashed it again with the same rom,and it's start working.And goes..after a while..the problem back again.
I choose to flash back to ice cream sandwich. When i turn on,then goes the same first problem at the begining
("Unfortunately Launcher/Market/Gmail/Emulator,and many else has stopped").
I reset again then new problem came out.

Rather than use that guide,i choose to flash to gingerbread rom.
Then it's fine,until..you know, reboot the device and back again to bootloop
Is it because the task killer app?Or it is hardware failure?or maybe there is some file that has been deleted/terminated?
This is really frustrating for me,actually this is my present to my mother for her birthday,i'm kinda sad and regret for choosing this tablet,i wish i could turn back in time, maybe i'll choose galaxy/sony tab instead of this one..
Please..i'm really need help here..
Many thanks for sure..
they always worked fine for me, mbbe depends on which app
Hi guys, new member so play nice
Just pulled my HDX 7 from out of a drawer and thought I could use it for music in my car.
Haven't used it once March of 2014 and it's stuck on software version 13.3.2.2... I remember using a tool to block OTA updates, and whenever I try to check for an update it says 'last update failed'.
Did a factory reset on the device in the hope it'd sort that out, but no avail. What I have now is when I go to set up the device after the reset, it won't come off the language selection screen. I choose a language, press okay, and it just bounces back. Rebooting does nothing. Managed to ninja tap into settings, update still doesn't work, and same problem after another reset.
Can you guys just point me in the right direction in terms of sorting out these problems, and then what I need to do to root, get recovery and install a custom rom (possibly cyanogenmod but I'm unsure if there's a supported build)
Thanks a lot guys, it's much appreciated.
You are actually quite fortunate that your HDX is stuck at 13.3.2.x as you can probably obtain full control over the device and separate from Amazon. I would advise NOT updating as you may get your wish and then be left with fewer options (although Fire OS is not horrible even unrooted). HDX is a very nice device that is somewhat hobbled by Amazon's adaptation of Android.
If you can "ninja tap" into settings try to enable adb (under device). That will allow you to root and block OTAs (do it again just to make sure). See this post and the ones that immediately follow for details.
Assuming you are successful you can install a true recovery (TWRP) and flash several ROMs including stock Fire OS. There are many who would love to get their hands on your device as those with more recent updates are far more difficult to customize.
On the other hand, if you simply want to stick with Fire OS and accept updates as dished out by Amazon you can probably flash one of the various 13.3.x images posted in this forum and then re-enable OTA. Reflashing Fire OS should address the language loop you are currently experiencing.
It's nice to have choices!
So I rooted my phone so I could I could install font/language that wasn't available stock. It's been several years now and the phone is locked because too many pattern attempts. Tried reseting via Google account but seem none of my password I could remember works.
I am able to boot into "download mode !!!"
Does this mean I can still revive/reset my BLU?
I remember boot screen had option but this is only green screen with "download mode!!!"
Need help with next step. Maybe this is my opportunity to install lollipop or kitkat.
hi tech gurus, am having problem with this device, the device details are:
name: leagoo m8 pro
Android version: 6.0
ram:2GB
ROM:16Gb
chip: Mt6737M
processor:armv7
SDK:23
HOW THE PROBLEM STARTED
on the night of the day I bought the phone I decided to root it because I wanted to change the font and of course use xposed modules, I successfully rooted the phone, changed font successfully with ifont, now the only left is to install xposed framework, so I read all the info at the xposed thread, to know more about my device I downloaded CPU z, and mobile uncle, which said my device arm version is just arm.
I down xposed flashable zip in the arm category, which is v87, and it's The latest their till now.
I flash the zip file, everything went successfully via twrp v3.1.1 then I clicked reboot, phone switched off came on and displayed the white leagoo text, it was stucked there for like 12mins I coudnt wait any longer, so I removed and inserted the battery booted into twrp and wiped the cache, data, system and davilk cache, nvram, and click reboot but twrp said no ROM installed.
Guys I have no other option thab to flash the stock ROM, which I did, am sure I did it the right way, I used
sp flash tool v5.1
leagoo freemos V3.06(downloaded from leagoo website)
after flashing it showed green good mark, I rebooted the phone, as soon as the setup screen appeared the phone rebooted again..... till it long enough to allow me finish the setup.
guys as am typing with the phone am still experiencing the rebooting problem.
sometimes it will just random reboot,
or music will crack and reboot especially when the screen is off.
I have tried every thing I could, such flashing custom recovery even flashing earlier official stock ROM of the phones all to no avail
pls tech gurus help me, I just bought this phone
the highest up time I ever got on this phone is just 9 hours
thanks
Hi! I have installed LineageOS with android 7.1.2 on my nexus 5 approximately one year ago. Now I've got myself a new phone and I've wanted to go back to android 6.0.1 on my nexus. I've downloaded official image from google's site flashed everything and all was looking good until I boot into the system. As soon as the standard first configuration menu pops up screen locks immediately and i can't unlock it. I've tried to install first android version on nexus 5 which is Android 4.4 and ended up with the same result. Same thing when i've installed Cyanogenmod with android 6.0. I have looked around the internet and some people say that it can be issue with the power button but i have installed LineageOS again and everything works just fine. It's not like the screen goes off itself I can accualy see the locking animation. I don't know that much because it was my first experience with rooting and custom roms.
