As a Hermes and Elf user, I haven't had a chance to mess around with a Nike, but on behalf of a frustrated friend who has an Orange UK branded Dual .....
1) There's a setting to answer a call when Opening the phone, but doesn't seem to be one to hang up the call when answering - surely there must be a way to do this?
2) Is there a setting to turn off the touch screen when on a call - She's found that when having the phone against her ear, her earings will something press the touchscreen and end up in weird places.

where do i get this file?
Hi! I've bought a s 3 mini in Malaysia for my mother, and after 10 days she uses it, the bottom part of touch screen doesn't work anymore.
The bottom part (last icon line) and menu key and back key don't work anymore. The phone is not falling down, neither goes in contact with weather... It's very strange. it has happened after a simple call.
do you think is it an hardware problem? or is it possibile to fix via software?

I'm having a very interesting problem with my android tablet. The sound is not working while the screen is on. Just to clarify - If i start a song playing, it won't produce sound until i hit the lock screen button, once the screen goes black, the sound comes through the speakers perfectly. The second I hit the button again to unlock the screen, the screen lights up and the sound stops. The same thing is occurring with apps - after a little candy crush session, i lock the screen and the music starts. This is also the case with notifications - new email etc - makes a noise when the screen is locked, but not when I'm actually using the tablet. It's really quite remarkable and VERY annoying!
If there's any guidance you could provide - it would be appreciated
I've tried taking it back to factory settings and clearing the cache….

Model - A70X
SOC Chip - Super Doulcore A20
Android Version - 4.2.2
Firmware version - 1.3

my Atrix is behaving strange lately, but i just don't want to let go my old lady... so anyone has any idea re. root-cause of the problem?
situation
i got aware that the touchscreen had stopped working for a particular row, next to the volume control buttons. for me, it's been clear: hardware failure.
i wanted to see the symptoms in detail, hence installed a diagnostic app to check the touchscreen and identify the "dead zone" properly.

but
when playing around, in the endeavor to paint all my screen blue, swiftly swiping my finger across the touchscreen. after a while, the phone's reactions became sluggish, and the home/back buttons would not bring me back to my home screen. so i switched the dialogs off and on again (power button). and the home/back buttons returned to work fine.
BUT
to my utmost surprise, the touchscreen problem had gone!! no more dead areas in the touchscreen!

only after a while, the problem returns and the very same row is dead again regarding touch inputs.
Amazing! and this is fully reproducible! it's necessary for the app to react sluggishly (which is only randomly achieved), and the home/back buttons to stop working, to temporarily 'heal' the touchscreen.
So it's not a hardware, but software problem?
what's your opinion?
BTW, I am running a rooted stock release, european version, atrix 4g.

1) Sounds reasonable - bad contact in a connector:

2) This does not help a lot. Seems only for custom ROMs:
touchscreen is off only at the bottom of the screen
3) That's not very helpful - there's no description what the idea behind this mod is.

4) Do what most of us have done, which is replace digitizer or replace device completely

The past 3 days, my touchscreen is seeming to get stuck in certain spots (to the point where I cannot slide screen left/right or up/down)
Also, the soft keys (Back, Home & Recent Apps) become unresponsive also.
I've tried cleaning the screen multiple times (mostly with lens cleaner) I even tried Windex - but it only works when it wants to.
I went to Settings - Developer Options - Show Touches... just to see where the screen is getting held up, and sometimes it shows a white dot where it seems to get stuck, and cleaning the screen only helps 25% of the time.
I have _never_ had this problem, does anyone have this issue? (or something similar?)
I'm rooted, and if installing the new touchscreen drivers will help lemme know (and provide some links please)

seems like a hardware issue..I'd take it to sprint and see what they can do.
