Question Custom rom from a12 c10? - OnePlus Nord 2 5G

Hey, since a12 my battery drain is **** and the general experience is kinda trash. Is it possible to put a custom rom on a phone that has never been rooted? I tried fastbooting, nothing, tried unlocking the bootloader, nothing. Am I doing something or is it impossible to put custom roms now

You need rollback to Android 11. Then unlock bootloader, flash twrp.
On oos is not yet possible to enter fastboot mode.

Phone Stuck In Fastboot

Hello EDA Forums
I am having an issue with my Moto E 2015, after unlocking the device.
I had it unlocked, and accidentally hit the relock button. Now, my device is stuck in the fastboot menu. The only options I am able to do are barcodes, power off, and bootloader logs.
When I try to use the other options, my phone flashes the your phone is unlocked message then closes very quickly.
My phone is locked, and has a status code of 2. I cant boot into the OS, because in the bootloader logs, it says "Failed to validate system image".
Also, after relocking the phone, my oem unlock developer console setting was turned off, so I cant flash in a new operating system.
I already have android sdk, and have been trying to get the phone working.
Thank you so much for your time, Allan

The short story is that you need to reflash the signed stock firmware for your model using fastboot. Assuming you were running the 5.0.2 stock ROM, you should reflash the 5.0.2 stock ROM signed for your device. Don't try flashing a 5.1 stock ROM with fastboot, as upgrading the bootloader will prevent rollback, and could brick your device in certain scenarios that I won't confuse you with here.

Thank you for the reply. The issue is that I am not able to flash a new os, or stock os to my phone, because it is not unlocked. My oem unlocking access was revoked when I relocked the device.

No. Your bootloader will allow you to flash signed firmware for your region when locked. When unlocked, it also allows you to flash firmware not for your region, and firmware that is not signed at all. You just need to flash firmware whose CID matches your region.

Bootloader Unlock = No after Restore.

I have a Z5C(E5803) that was originally able to unlock the bootloader and let me flash ROMs, specifically the Cyanogen ROM that CTXz has been working on. I ran out of power and got stuck in some kind of nasty bootloop yesterday that prompted me to re-flash boot.img and TWRP.
After I did these things I left it charging for a few hours and it was able to boot into TWRP where I then restored it to a backup of the basic Xperia pre-loaded ROM.
This all worked fine, thought I could boot into TWRP and just flash the Cyanogen zip again. I can get into TWRP just fine but I attempt to flash Cyanogen I get an "ERROR 7"
I have since done several wipes, gotten into the bootloader settings by entering that code in the dialer and have seen that bootloader unlock = no. I distinctly remember bootloder unlocking being allowed the first time I installed CM on my device, what could have caused this?
I was able to use it with fastboot anyway and install CM13 again, maybe this was a bug?
When I tried using oem unlock command with fastboot it said my device was already rooted even though I had just restored from a backup, and then I just proceeded normally from there.
use CM13 official Recovery to FLASH CM13.
also i don't think so twrp3.0.2 is out there for z5c. are you using any other variants Twrp? (YUGA ? )

question about unlock

after i touched some times "miui Version" in about phone and a message appear "you are developper now"
a new menu appear "additional settings"-> "developer options" ->"mi unlock status : Unlocked"
does this mean my bootloader is unlocked? can i flash roms now?
miui global stable 8.2
thanks
You can. Flash stable or custom rom, twrp
Yes,you can flash ROMs now. But first flash TWRP and make backup of your current MIUI installation.
I had the same experience. My newly bought rn4x mido came in with unlocked bootloader. I thought it was strange. I can flash twrp and boot to twrp but i cant reboot to twrp recovery. I had some trouble aswell installing custom rom, though i cant seem to recall where i was stuck. However, worry not, restoring miui via fastboot is easy enough, and you can even lock back the bootloader via miflash/fastboot and then unlock it in the official manner after 72hrs, which i ended up doing, and now running custom rom smoothly.

Roms not booting up!

Hi! I have a weird issue. Any new roms like 7.1.2, 8.0etc are just not booting up in my redmi note 3. I always get stuck at the boot logo. The phone vibrates and hints as if it is going to boot up boot its not. The process continues and the phone doesn't boot up. It works all fine with the older roms. But with newer version the roms dont boot up. I tried several roms like Nitrogen,RR,Linege OS etc. But newer versions of both Nougat and Oreo roms don't boot up. I don't have any clue of what to do now. I have zcx twrp installed and have officially unlocked the bootloder. Please if anyone have any insight regarding the issue it will be helpful.
Thank You.
Check whether the bootloader is still unlocked by commands. Twrp in this case, is useless so flash MIUI official rom & again unlock officially.
Make sure you wipe everything in Twrp if the command says bootloader is unlocked.
Try flashing LazyFlasher after the ROM. Also, are you flashing the recommended firmwares before flashing the ROM?
Update modem (firmware). Either by: flashing latest MIUI Beta fastboot rom or from here

Revert to stock from Lineageos 16 official.

Greetings,
I am planning to get a pocophone f1 and install lineageos 16 stable. Questions are:
1. Will it be possible to revert to the stock rom (to prove warranty or if i were to return it)?
2. How do you revert?
3. Is there a flashing tool for doing it?
4. Anyone done it?
Kind regards
1. Will it be possible to revert to the stock rom (to prove warranty or if i were to return it)? Yes
2. How do you revert? Use Mi Flash Tool and fastboot ROM
3. Is there a flashing tool for doing it? http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
4. Anyone done it? Many times, if you don't want to lock bootloader while doing it, don't choose clean all and lock
Cheers!!!
Thanks for answer.
I've found that to flash lineageos you need to flash a pie vendor. wondering in case of a revert, whether you need to flash stock vendor. I guess it gets flashed if I use flashtool and flash fastboot rom, correct?
secondly, if i relock bootloader, to reunlock, do i need to repeat same process as first time unlocking? or is it just a "fastboot oem unlock" command?
thirdly, should I be worried about xiaomi "anti rollback" feature? will it just prevent downgrade?

Yes, the tool would take care of it.

Same process as before, fastboot command doesn't work on Poco.
thirdly, should I be worried about xiaomi "anti rollback" feature? will it just prevent downgrade?
No, there is no "anti rollback" for Poco

Ans1 , yes you can revert back anytime, manytimes (always take backup because Miui encrypts data partition and custom rom has to wipe it so chances are you will loose you data .... but last week i flashed MIUI 10.3.4 Global Stable from lineage and then flashed havoc. i didn't loose any data (used latest twrp and magisk19 beta)
Ans2. there are 3 ways, download recovery rom and simply flash it via twrp ( which is the most common), OR download fastboot rom and flash it via miflashtool (by putting fone in fastboot mode) BUT this way you will DELETE ALL THE DATA and there is one button on MIFLASH called "flash and LOCK" if you by accident didn't uncheck it, chances are your boot will be LOCKED, so becareful. ---- the third method is EDL but you will never use that, it involves putting fone in edl mode (back panel is remove and two short points are touched via wire on motherboard and usb cable is plugged in and then fastboot rom is FLASHED by miflash tool, this usually done on BRICKED Xiaomi fones and MIFLASH asks for AUTHORISED ACCOUNT , which usually only few members have ,,, so this third method you will not use! ...
Ans3.. the popular tool to flash fastboot rom in fastboot mode and edl mode is MI FLASH (latest came out during May2018) but
(a) if your redmi/mi fone is mediatek base then you can try SP FLASHTOOL also! (never done)
(b) if your redmi/mi fone is qualcom snapdragon like redmi3s/ redmi max / redmi6 series / redmi5 series (snapdragon 430/625/660 and now Poco f1 on snapdragon 8x) then you can use QUALCOM's OWN Flashtool https://www.qpstflash.com/ ... i flashed lenevo via qualcom flasher once and it was successful! BUTTTT its HIGHLY NOT RECOMENDED!!!!! ,,, for poco f1. just stating here for your information
Ans4. recently bought Poco so NO, but i have flashed my REDMI 3s via miflash tool (EDL MODE) and then Redmi Note 5pro, i have flashed in fastboot mode so it works but you have to patience, REDMI/Mi is UNSTABLE devices (unlike Sony or Samsung) , and can easily be bricked and many time there are no solutions on miui forums for strange errors coming / poping up in miflash tool... like "cannot send zero packet data" etc etc
summing up..
anything can go wrong even if you are flashing ! so whenever you are flashing any custom rom or miui via twrp/miflashtool ALWAYS "cross your fingers"
