I don't think you find a specific part/file apart, for your device, you only can download the whole firmware and search inside, probably, just taking two of them in different Android versions, you can realize, if it has or not, but again, I don´t think you find it this way.

By the way, why do you need this file? To fix something? Did you try to unpack all?

You just need to flash the boot patched through Magisk, in order to root it.

Did you try flashing the boot.tar file through Odin? Not many users are complaining issues on. Can you provide some SS from the error? Also be sure that your USB debugging and OEM unlock remain in the right section, sometimes, when rebooting, the status can change.
If you have TWRP available, this method also, has to work.

the reason it failed so much is bc tried it multiple times. do i need to use unpatched odin? also usb debuging is enabled and bt is unlocked

You have to extract the boot image from the firmware, then you have to transfer it to your device, then patch it through Magisk app, then copy/transfer/move it to your PC, then convert it in tar file, using 7zip, for example, then flash the file at the AP slot.

New official version KG5

Hi ..i bought this phone last month from dubai and now i am back in india..yesterday i upgraded my device with latest firmwire KG5 through kies ...but i am wondering that official firmware in india is KE7
..so is this a latest firmware i have or KE7 is better..can you plz suggest..????.also after upgrading i am able to do video and audio chat through gtalk ...thats awsome
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Hold on, you updated to KG5 via Kies? You sure?
Sent from GT-I9100
Is it a Chinese phone ????
jje
Just Now I checked with my SGS2 thru Kies, no update for my UK phone. Still KE7.
Yes i upgraded to KG5 ...that is why i was surprised and wanted to check on this ....that do i have latest version or not ...but i am happy that i can do Voice and Video chat through gtalk ..calender is also well optimized now

Firstly, the official, latest firmware in India as of right now is KF3. The phones were sold with the KE8 (not KE7, which is a UK/Europe firmware) in India which were later updated to KF3 via Kies. The official firmware update in India is yet to come from Kies.
So did you update your phone with Kies while you were in India? Did you install Kies on your PC in Dubai or in India?
yes Egan its made in china... but why are you asking this...does it make a difference ????i mean manufacturing country
yes i have upgraded my phone in india only through my home pc... when i connected to kies .. it asked me to upgrade to firmware KG5 as my previous firmware was KG1.. i was little afraid to upgrade it as i heard that official version in india is KE8 ..but now its fine i am happy with KG5..no lagging till now .
What I wanted to know was, where did you install your KIES software? In India or Dubai? Because no one else here in India has got the KG5 update yet, if you have then it must be on its way for others too. Or maybe your phone got updated because it does NOT belong to India. It has a different firmware than the Indian firmware.
Just clarify one thing, earlier you said your previous firmware was KE7, now you are saying you upgraded from KG1.........so which one was it?

Wired..Just now checked with kies mine is still KF3 and it says Latest
my friend i never said that my previous firmware was KE7.. i only wanted to confirm that KE7 is latest or KG5.. yes i installed my kies software in india only.. i do agree with you that my phone doesn't belong to india region so this could be one of the reason that it has a different firmware from other countries

Cool. That explains it. You got an update coz your phone does not belong to India region. Enjoy
Yes, I also checked today and still for India it is showing KF3 as official latest version.
Further, after installing KIES, it is not showing Samsung Apps in KIES. Can anyone explain this.

I think Samsung Removed it because of Google...We already have Android Market,Samsung Apps in mobile..No use of Samsung Apps in Kies so they might have removed

I am new to Android, but would consider myself fairly PC Savvy / Capable
I am following the instructions from [ROM + Guide]Official i9100 Firmwares KF1/2/3/4/, KG1/2/3/5/6/7 Download - xda-developers
I am attemting to flash from a stock image:
- PDA: I9100BOKF3
- Phone: I9100BOKF1
- CSC: I9100DTMKF1
I have downloaded Odin3 v1.85.
I have also downloaded XXKG5 Stock Kernal from the above link.
I rebooted my phone into Download mode - Odin recognises it (com turns yellow), and I click on start:
<ID:0/011> Added!!
<ID:0/011> Odin v.3 engine (ID:11)..

<ID:0/011> RES OK !!
<ID:0/011> Completed..
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 1 / failed 0)
<ID:0/011> Removed!!
My phone reboots, but it is still running the original software.
What am I missing? (the KG5 kernal is only 5mb? do I need further files?)
thanks in advance...

You are only flashing the kernel there. This does not update the firmware. You need to download the Firmware OXA Poland: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

help for install android 6 on g925x (galaxy s6 edge demo live)

hi.
plase help me for install android version 6 on galexy s6 edge demo live.

The bootloader will not be updated, as you need the specific sboot.bin for the LDU (it's different from the retail versions).
You need to remove cm.bin and sboot.bin from the 6.0 firmware package before flashing it. I think if you get stuck in bootloop after flashing 6.0, reverting to my 5.1.1 package is a non-issue (again, i don't own any LDU anymore so i can't confirm this).
You could also try a costum G925F Android Marshmallow rom that is flashable trough TWRP recovery. I'm 80% sure this method works.

Flashing SM-G935U ATT Firmware onto AT&T S7 Edge with Oreo

Hi,
I am trying to flash my SM-G935A AT&T S7 Edge (not carrier unlocked) with the new SM-G935U firmware (G935UUES4CRG3/G935UOYM4CRG3/G935UUES4CRG3/G935UUES4CRG3) that I dowloaded for my US AT&T S7 Edge. I upgraded my S7 Edge to the latest Oreo firmware via OTA around a month ago.
I used SamFirm to download the image to flash. Anyhow, even though I put every file into its respective category on Odin 3.13.1, I get an "SHA256" mismatch error. I've seen some instruction that say to only add the AP file onto Odin and others say to use the prince cosmey version of Odin. What could be the problem? Does the phone need to be carrier unlocked? Is my firmware too new or of the same version? Do I need to use the prince cosmey version? Is it not possible to flash the g935u firmware onto a g935a phone? Should I use another download source? Should I use the slightly older G2 firmware? Anything else I should consider?
Also, I noticed that I could not download firmware for the SM-G935A using the ATT code with SamFirm? Any reason as to why?
I realize that there are many other threads that touch upon this problem but they are either with a different edition of the phone, firmware version or some other variant. I'm posting a new thread because I want to be as thorough as possible and make sure not to brick my phone by receiving safe advice before moving forward. Thank you for your time!
Below are the SamFirm download details:
