fingerprint not working - Realme 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I damaged my persist partition by trying to flash an ofp file and forgot to back it up. I was able to recover most of my sensors just by flashing rui1 ozip but not the fingerprint. After According to people on the internet it is possible to recover the fp reader by using a calibration tool, so I ordered one from aliexpress (the rl-071), but it didn't work.
So I have two questions:
Did I order the wrong calibration tool?
And I noticed that the fingerprint reader is missing in the "sensors_list.txt" file in "root//mnt/vendor/persist/sensors". Does it have anything to do with why the fp reader doesn't work or refuses to calibrate?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Upgrading rom without sync cable?

So, like the title says, I wish to upgrade my rom without the use of a sync cable (the one I have glitches). Bluetooth is probably out of the question, but I was thinking there might be a flash upgrade boot option of sorts, that'd allow me to upgrade through the use of an micro sd-card or so.
Any ideas?
(before you ask, I charge the battery with an external charger).
A lot of the phones are capable of upgrading from the rom image on the SD card - if you extract the nbh and rename it (I forget the name - search the hermes forum) and put it on a blank phone - you probably can do it that way. I've not tried it but it's likely to work!
Edit:
Here's the link to the procedure for the hermes:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_SDCardFlashing
You probably have to name the image something other then HERMING.nbh - maybe STARIMG.nbh? Just a thought. Remember - I don't know for sure this will work - doing so might cause the world to implode but I suspect if it works, it works - otherwise it doesn't.
Ok, thanks for the quick reply. Just tried with STARIMG.nbh aswell as STAR100IMG.nbh in the root folder of a recently formatted sd-card, but no go. The text "searching sd-card" that flashed by right before I get the test screen does however indicate that it's a viable method for updating the ROM, so I'll keep going and try some other names for the ROM image.
If you figure out the name, please post so we know how to do it
I would also be very interested in this ... anyone figured out the correct filename yet?
On mine it's STARIMG.nbh.
The card needs to be formatted FAT32.
I've never tried SD card flashing with SoftSPL, but you would need SoftSPL to flash a non-OEM ROM.

[Q] Touchscreen broken, unable to access

Hi
My mother has a stock BQ Aquaris 5 HD, probably running on 4.3
Someone spilled a chemical fluid over the phone, and it stoped working. She took it to a local shop where they tried to clean and dry it, but somehow they managed to strip off the touchscreen connector on the mainboard.
The phone actually turns on, but it is impossible to use the touchscreen. No debug was activated. No SD card was installed, so everything was on the main storage. Replacing the mainboard is not an option as the storage will be lost anyways...
I started the phone on recovery mode, allowing me to backup all the data on the SD cart, resulting in a .backup file, which i cannot manage to open in any way. I tried to use Android Backup Extractor (ABE) but it only works with .ab extensions. Changed the extension manually and it did not work either.
I request help, if anybody knows how to recover the pictures and contacts from that file, or if there is some way to enter the main storage unit with a locked screen...
thanks in advance
Anybody?

USB otg mode is workking.
It's so simple !!
Thanks OP.
Option 1 and 2 work with either NM or USB-OTG drive
It did not work well with my device.
I tried in OTG mode.
The environment is 9.1.0.124 (C431E4R2P2).
When you start eRecovery, it becomes Software installed failed. (Incompatibility with current version)
What's wrong
Have you downloaded all the files and placed the three update files in to a folder called 'dload'?
Also, if having issues try the service menu method.
Don't let me download the firmware ?. I have what could it be?

something is not going well with the drive link i put on first post. cheers
If it will not allow you to download due to too many people accessing the file, then add it to your drive. once there, right click and select "Create copy" you can then download the copy

Hi All
I'm on 3 UK and when I inserted my sim it downloaded 3UK splash screens and apps etc. Can I flash this over my current 3 branded firmware using the USB-OTG method and will it still have all the 3UK customisation afterwards or will it debrand, if it will debrand it is there any way I can stop this happening again. Sorry for all the questions
Thanks in advance

You asked at just the right time, my device was a branded ThreeUK device... I just flashed it 30 mins ago on my device. Completely debranded it, however when you setup the phone it will give you an option to "Update" to a new custom version which is the carrier modified firmware. Presume this will rebrand it so i simply skipped it, note however it shows as update available in settings still if you want to install it in future manually. That being said... I wonder if it's possible to extract and see what this "Update" contains since it's 176MB which is a lot. Whether any optimisations ect are worth it for the branding.
That's great, thank you for the info! It really is a crap idea to customise a device based on operator sim card.
I will have a go at flashing this now, I've already downloaded the files
Thanks again

Hello,
It seems your problem comes from the fact you installed wrong LGRPx base package firmware for your device.
I guess in your case you would want an LGRP2 base firmware.
friend i have the same problem i installed the same version of firmaware and my phone has become hono and it doesn't work well it would need a right rom i think they have done something wrong
if any of you have solved the problem you can tell how it did I have the cellphone packed it does not work well with the CDY-LGRP4 firmavare

Hi,
I've installed BlissROM and Magisk.
Magisk make some patch file for me and then I need to flash it.
After that, all is gone.. apparently the Fingeprint sensor is now not working and no Fingeprint appears in settings app.
Here is a log for that problem I have:
