Hi there, I'm new here and I'm only a normal user without special ambition. I need a cheap phone or notepad for some stuff at home. That's why I purchased the mentioned tablet legally, declared broken. I's in fact not broken at all, it's a return from a company with password protected login. Therefore, I cannot use it for anything at this point. What I found in the internet did not work - all I can do is to restore the company settings, not the default ASUS Android and settings. Asus itself told me that was due to the former account not being removed. Only with the former user removed, they could go back to standard.
I don't intend to do anything special nor illegal. I'm not looking for the data of the previous company, I anyway think the tablet was never used before. Can you help me? Or, if I'm wrong here, just tell me where my request is more appropriate. Thank you!

Despites it may illegal, it seems you're the legit owner as of today. There exist multiple FRP bypass methods on youtube, but all these exploits are fixed over time and may no longer work on recent firmware. Therefore it's not a good idea to flash new firmware (it won't reset FRP anyway)

Hi all
I am newish to the Android world but have been a programer in the embeded C world and before I start trying to resolve my issue I would like to know if I am just barking up the wrong tree.
I have been trying to replace a very old HP Ipaq 5700 that I use only for GPS purposes with something more modern and a larger screen for some time but although I got close it was not good enough as a replacement, the program I use is Memory map and their version for the Android platform was awful. I purchased a Ruggex Rhino two device that runs Lolipop 5.1 and got to the point where it would run the Memory map software and display the GPS data being sent from my Ublox GNSS receiver via bluetooth and it gave current location, but it was not good enough to use in the field. Memory map have now updated their program so it runs on Android, Windows and Linux and it is a much better user interface but requires Android 6 or later.
So having read about custom ROM's and getting Android updated is it possible to do this to any Android device such as my device bearing in mind it will only be used to receive a Bluetooth signal and run basic apps, no intention of fitting a sim as I need really good battery life.
If this is possible could someone please point me in the right direction, the device already has it's boatloader unlocked.
Thanks Roy

@Spectric2 No problem, Roy. It's good to have you onboard.
I just saw your post by accident. As I don't know how familiar you are with XDA, if you like to make somebody aware of your post you'd have to either mention that member or to reply to his post (what we also call to quote the member). I did both in my post above.

Hi guys.
The background: I bought a new tablet that removed the multi-user android feature () or, to better say, the feature is *hidden*.
The foreground: I'm able to recall the right screen calling the right activity and I'm able to create X users like expected.
Obviously the feature is removed (hidden) so also the user switcher icon is removed too.
Here come the development idea.
Build something quick tile? App with permanent notification? Actually no idea, but before thinking about the form, I need the base. How to switch user.
First of all: think you possibile to recall the user switch by call an intent/activity (I talk about the real switch, not the multi-user feature, that need to unlock the screen) maybe passing a static user value/ID?
Without intent/activity, how to achieve the result? I've experience in coding but totally new to android development, I never wrote a single line of code for our green robot.
I wouldn't but...

@Oswald Boelcke I wrote on dev forum after reading what you linked.. because I think it's a developing thing.. I'm talking about a solution to reach what I described by coding.. Not really a ckassic end-user question.
This involve coding skills, android developing skills, but obviously before I need to know if this can be done by a programmatically point of view.
Anyway.. If you think my post is better placed in Q&A, it's ok, it's just to explain.

I just done that, but what I found don't clarified so much my ideas.
What I found point me in a direction but it's not all clear to me.
Probably due to no experience of android developing.

It's doable but it complicates setup. I try to keep things as simple as usability allows... the KISS principal. Even in Windows I never used this feature... security be damned
Look around as there are other write ups on it that I've seen in the past. It's a lesser known feature of Android. Samsung may be a easier platform to do it with. Would setting up a Work account with Knox do it? I don't know... also search the Samsung forum.

I'm not sure if this is the right topic for it.
But I was wondering if I could change the firmware on a cheap (YC-83p) tab.
Got it as a welcome gift from a course I got started. So don't have anny reasons to compain at all.
It doesn't has the greatest specs but it handles some basic stuff pretty well. So it's actually decent for bringing along on vacation or use it as a Home Assisstant controll tab.
It's actually this tab with slightly improved specs. (2GB of RAM instead of 1GB etc.):
Portable 8 inch Android 10 WiFi Tablet - YC-83T | Portworld Manufacturer
2021 New Arrival Portable 8 inch Quad-Core Processor Vertical Display 800*1280 IPS Screen Gms Android 10 1G+16G Android WiFi Tablet
portworld-solu.com
It's actually just fine as it is. But it seems it has some custom firmware onit, at least showing a custom bootscreen of the instution of the course. And I would like to change it if possible.
I searched the internet, but there's actually not much to be found.
So my question is if someone knows how to reflash this kind of devices, or at least change the bootscreen? I would prefer the first option if possible.
Thanks in advance!
edit:
It's running Android (Go edition) 11 btw.

Thanks, but I actually don't think it's rooted. Didn't cheked it yet though.
Actually looked for a way to root it, then it would be easier to put custom firmware on it I guess. But there's just verry little to completely nothing to be found of this tablet.
But I asume there must be a way sinse this institution was also able to customize some things.
Some questions:
How locked down is the tablet? Can you access gms services? Can you freely install apks? Are there developer options in settings and does it have the OEM unlock toggle?
Try to install adia64 and 7-zip. What is the processor? If it is mtk, you might be able to temp root your device.
Reviving this as I got this tablet as well and looking for possibilities.
I have posted here about my progress https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/can-we-root-this-tablet.4560407/page-2#post-88355463
Tablet is pretty generic but I don't seem to find any resource about it. Any ideas?
Hello all.
My question is, i found a samsung a20e, it was without simcard but it was turn on in the lock menu. It have 1 message from the samsung account that need assistance and the other one from google (with a email)
I try to give back the phone to the owner , so i send a message to the email that show on the screen, but it always show not delivered because he have the quota full. It's been 3 months and nothing.
i want to ask if i do a factory reset , can i use the phone or it will show the google lock and i have to put the older email and password from the person that lost it.
And is possible to try to install a official rom with odin and the phone work again normal?
if yes , what is the best sites to find this roms and a tutorial to do it.
thanks all

Hi everyone,
I found a Galaxy Tab A9 Lite and tried to reset it via hard reset, only there is the problem that the configuration asks you to log in with the previously configured google account or the PIN of which I don't know about both.
I searched a bit on google and youtube and there are some software that allow you to bypass the verification, only that for me, in a certain step (almost at the beginning) the "Emergency call" button does not appear with which I should continue, I tried several tutorials with TalkBack too, but nothing.
Is it possible to remove or better, definitively reset the tablet? By removing all the information about it? Once I remember that with the hard reset it returned to the factory settings, not anymore.
I don't know, maybe by flashing it? I have never flashed a tablet or similar, you have the model, if you can help me I would be grateful!
Sorry for my poor English, I'm Italian.
Hello and good afternoon, @raiz_
I've closed the thread. As you've said the device was found i.e. you aren't the legitimate owner. I suggest to hand it in at the lost property office or police station in your vicinity. We don't offer XDA as a platform to support assistance with not legitimately owned devices. Thanks for your understanding.
