can anyone give me a good reason i should get this phone?? i went from HTC Hero, Evo, to Evo shift (yes i know i downgraded when i went to evo **** from the evo but i wanted a keyboard and i know this phone doesnt have one)
Update. Im not even gonna bother with the iphone, nvr liked the style of it anyway. prefer android.
It'll be the best phone you ever owned looking at your previous lineup. The only time I wouldn't recommend this phone is if you absolutely need a phone you can mod the **** out of. While I do see slow but sure progress in the dev area, it will never be as popular as what you would be used to given your previous phones.
If you really need others to tell you why you should get this phone then there's something seriously wrong with how you view the world.
In all fairness, if you need others to tell you why you should get it, then this phone is probably not for you. I say go with the mainstream samsungs and HTC's and whatnot.
If you want a real phone first and multimedia is not your main thing, this is the one.
I am not saying that is not good but the ET4G is better for multimedia but as phone sucks.

'Cuz this Mopho is badd as **** dude, its a actual phone
A mofo MoPho is the way to go!
I have no idea why you should get this phone... especially since we don't know what you are looking for, besides a physical keyboard, which this doesn't have

ok well i guess i should have worded this a lil better so some people didn't have to be a complete jerk about it. but i've heard a lot of good and a lot of bad about this phone now. i hear there is a horrible lag in screens switching and videos. but i see this phone hasn't been fully unlocked by the looks of it which i waited 2 months on my shift because i was a unlucky kid who got nailed with a gingerbread model. so I'm not too concerned into the rooting which i enjoy to get the most out of my stuff, but i more so want it for gaming. i like games and the shift runs like crap with games even overclocked they don't run like i would like them too.
but i figure once all the bugs are fixed in the phone it will be awesome so im looking into getting one, but not entirely sure if i should wait and get a better one or just try and get this one now.
thank you to those who were not rude.

The Photon has been the best phone I have ever used. Even coming from an ogEVO where development was great. However, I have been lucky and never experienced some of the issues others have. Games run well on this, even emulated ones. Sound is top notch.
Having said that, if I was in your shoes, I would wait to upgrade. Especially with the chance of maybe seeing a Nexus Prime on Sprint or something similar. As good as the Photon is it has been out since August and will be trumped by something better either this month or next. Might even get lucky and the device will already have ICS on it.
I bought this phone some days ago, moved from iPhone 4. I'm damn happy and photon deserves the buying
i hope i am posting in the right place.. this is an email i sent to a friend tonight.. i thought maybe i'd get a forum like this i mean yur advice etc..
the phone i am thinking of is the samsung galaxy s2 (not sky rocket)..
well i currently am, as U prolly guessed a mac boy tho i am not one of those blind sheep lol.. i have a 4s and macbook pro.. to start could you give me yur over all impression of the sgs2.. tho i know how you will answer that i am seriously thinking of switching b/c the damn small screen on the 4s.. other than that its a GREAT phone (for me!).. also does it feel big and clunky? i'm used to my small iphone
somethings you may want to be mindful of when replying:
i am not overly techy, but not stupid either haha
i had a HTC flyer and HTC inspire.. omg i wanted to smash them both as i found them hard to use.. my friends say i just didnt give myself enuff time to learn it.. perhaps.. both went back after one day
i use my phone for email, texts, web and social apps, nothing fancy, and hardly ever talk on it
i also like my phone to be fast..
i'm on att of that matters, NE USA area
i have read many reviews today by consumers and "professional" reviewers.. and the only thing i find as a "con" is battery life..but i am seldom away from home/power source very long.
oh and all this being said i'd like to have it sync with my macbook etc (but i think i can do that thru syncmate, but this would be a secondary issue).. even if i couldnt get it to sync or whatever that woukdnt be a deal breaker..
the purpose of the SGS2 would be
a back up phone
one to learn android on
a "play" phone (techy gadget)
but as of thursday I now am an owner of the G2 (vzw) and would like to thank the developers here and any contributors for making the rezound one of the best experiences of owning a phone so far! Thank you!
On a side note anyone thinking about switching to the G2 should give it a try. I love how fast this thing is and the rom is pretty well customizable and still shocks me a little when i find more and more little options daily. Ive had no problems so far and gaining root was simple as could be. Give it a shot as long as its not physically to big for your liking.

how is the radio?
Seems really good so far just as good as my rezzy but i have been in vegas all weekend the true test will be when i get back home to my small town in the middle of nowhere this afternoon
I am now really really impressed! The radios on the G2 out did/do the ones on my rezound. I was able to send/receive texts and browse the web when I normally couldnt on the rezound during my trip home. Very pleased :good:

thanks for sharing G2 is a good phone!
how is the user interface in terms of smoothness? Is the web browser scrolling and other scrolling as smooth as the iphone?
I think it's super smooth it wipes the floor with my modded rezound, but as far as iPhone....... um I wouldn't know. I've never used one longer then a few mins. So I'm the wrong person to ask about that.

I also retired my Rezound last week for a G2. What a difference! Development is moving along quickly for the G2 so I'm hoping for some great roms soon.
Would you say the G2 is worth losing unlimited data over?
I didn't chance it, I bought outright. But I do have nothing but praise for this phone and could only hope for some of your expertise to add to this phone!

ill have my rezound as a dev phone till it crumples up and dies....but i plan on getting the One very shortly
I might be jumping ship to the One as well...I've been trying to talk myself into it for a few months but it seems like the universe is pushing for me to get it. I just got an invite to elevate yesterday.. later that night I was just switching to a different extended battery (I like to cycle through different ones to keep them happy) and poof reboot every 3 min. It happened all day today too. I finally got it to stop after uninstalling some recent apps and doing my magical "Rezound please don't reboot" dance/prayer/ritual.
I love my Rezound when it's working properly (I think I'm on my 7th), but I'm starting to see it as a warm heavy brick in my pants.
Sorry, I had some venting to do that no one I know in real life would understand. No tech savvy friends, I hear the occasional "Why don't you have an iPhone?" from them.

I also want to thank all of the devs. Great job keeping it up to date. I switched to the Note 3 recently and it's badass. I was stuck between the One, G2 and the Note 3 but I definitely made the right choice. The One looks awesome but I love how big and powerful the Note 3 is. All my previous phones have been HTC but I think Samsung definitely won me over. It's been a pleasure my friends. Hope to see you guys around again. Snuzzo, Fly, Neo..you guys are awesome!
I would like to send my appreciation as well... I am on the verge of getting the HTC One. My phone has been freezing up recently and its not a software related crash, so I'm afraid I went in the Verizon store and was awe struck at the One... although I don't like the lack of a changeable battery or SD card, but damn its a nice phone. I was sold and am very close to buying one.
This would be the first time I haven't changed phones out of anger at my old phone. The Rezound really has impressive specs and impressive devs who build for it...this is the reason I have extended my usage on the Rezound for nearly a year now. Its too bad the Rezound wasn't better known. Its still generally fast and still has a great screen, I would dare say the best of its time.
I hope to see some Rezound devs on the One in the future. I know more than one has mentioned the plan to move on to the One.
It will be a somber bitter sweet day for me as i love my Rezound but I'm needing to move on if I keep having this issue.
I would also like to say a big thank you to our devs here. It's been a generally awesome device to own because of them. Specifically Neo for the numerous amazing ROMs he's given us, Snuzzo and IHateWebOS for their awesome kernels, Flyhalf for maintaining TWRP and, of course, Chad for being our AOSP savior! shrike1978 also gets a big thanks for the writeup on how to build CM. Without that I guarantee I never would have compiled a ROM myself.
The guys working hard in the AOSP Dev thread to get us a stable 4.4 ROM also get a shout out.
The unlimited.io guys also get a MASSIVE thanks for their S-OFF tool Juopunutbear. The process was just badass lol. Never would've thought when I got the phone and saw those pins that they would be so important down the road. I think that's kind of what made owning this device awesome as well; the fact that you had to put in some effort to get S-OFF made it feel more like an accomplishment, like you've earned it. With the Nexus 5 (the device I'll be switching to when it finally decides to ship/arrive) it'll just be as simple as "fastboot oem unlock" and it's fully unlocked. There's no sense of achievement or anything doing that! Lol I'm definitely not saying I wish it was harder or anything, just that it won't be the same.
I would also like to thank the community for always supporting and being polite to our developers, as well as always being willing to help one another. I think the fact that we have one thread with over 500 posts in it with people just helping each other speaks for how awesome you guys are.
It's been a long road for us Rezound owners, and it makes me a bit sad to think about moving on to a different device, with a different community. I can only hope that the Nexus 5 community will be half as good as this one.
Hope to see you guys over there with me.

While I did just jump to an LG G2, I won't be going anywhere anytime soon. I've invested way too much time and effort on this phone to walk away from it. Not to mention the Mrs. has a rezound and the G2 is an officially supported device, so there's really no challenge to it.
The good news is now I have a dev phone, so I don't have to worry about getting it back to a working state when I'm working on it.
Well I did it. I got the One. I had to pay full retail price for it otherwise I cant keep my unlimited data... and considering that I've used 11Gb so far, that was not an option.
I am impressed with it as I was impressed with the Rezound when I got it.
This community has been amazing. This was the first phone I ever flashed anything too. Considering now the Rezound is a spare/play phone, maybe I will try some developing for it. I know I wont be able to match the great devs here, but I figured I could try my hand at it. Especially now this is not my main phone I need to rely on.
So once again a big thanks for the additional life that some great people have given to the Rezound. A truly great place to be. Now I just need to try to get my Paypal back so I can show some appreciation monetarily to some people.

Camera is decent. Little dull and blurry on details otherwise good. Audio is great. Many roms but it still ain't Galaxy SIII.
Will run all the apps and games you want but I suggest since you in China just a Xiaomi MI3 or such..:good:
They like things of other countries there. It makes them feel cool.
If you can get an E970 for a good price, do it.
It's not the best phone you'll ever use, but it REALLY surprised me with how much I like it.
In agreeance with NHS2002 and OMGMatrix.
optimusv45 sounds like he has a lil contempt for the Chinese, just got in a wreck with a Mitsubishi, is a comedian, bored, or all of the above. I post **** like that cuz I like bein the center of attention and the "funny guy"
Id be stoked to be fired back at with a reply of " no ****, I am like you, Im a funny guy!" from 45. seein as how we all bleed the same shade of RED..
Personaly satisfied with everything about this phone except its ridgidity. Do not drop it on any of its corners from any height , lol, seriously! Could also be a little thicker , but you can remedy that with the right case for it.
But if you want a phone that bounces back from 10000 flashes like a Boss, good choice. JTAG will fix what u cant. Performance is good with the right ROM Kernel combo, would love to see more ROMS n Kernels for it. But cant cry about that cuz Ive only now played around with porting and Nexus alternatives.
Want a Rom and your able to figure it out or be all ears when someone like our devs here get on IRC with you.... Get on with your badself. that would be a win win for G Devness all together. Ive been able to be pretty fearless with this phone as long as I don't drop it.
I dropped it tons of times.... not a scratch. All thanks to the el cheapo TPU case I ordered from China. Its amazing phone but camera and display by a bit leave me wanting... Also miss the FM and OTG from Galaxy S3

ok thank you ,i believe e970 will take me suprise ! I will bring pictures three days later, exciting!!!
Overall it's a great phone. When I got it, it was turning heads: "What phone is that? It looks beautiful." The camera is not as good as some, but I rarely use that.
I'm very pleased that I got an LG phone. I will definitely buy another LG phone next time I need one -- even if it's a Google Nexus branded (Nexus 4, Nexus 5, maybe Nexus 6 )

English, Forgiven. Forgiveness pending on right answer, Why would u choose this over the MI2, isn't it almost twice the performer?
