Hello,
I'm having troubles with the auto brightness in the Realme GT 2 Pro.
I ordered the first device from Amazon and saw that the screen brightness is too low when the auto brightness is activated. So I asked for a replacement. Today I got a second GT 2 Pro with the same problem.
I checked the engineering menu of the device by entering the code *#899#
and saw that the light sensor is detecting low lux value in compare to other android devices I have.

}
The parameter seem to be set on 1000 by default.
I tried all the ways to change this value (including after sale calibration option) but it seems that there is some problem which prevents calibration to be done.
I tested the calibration on a Realme GT neo 3 phone, the calibration can be done successfully.
Any ideas to fix this?
I will have to return the second GT 2 Pro phone because of this problem if no solution
Thanks for any help.
BR,
Majd
Same problem here and no solution. Amazon offered me a discount, which I accepted. I no longer use auto-brightness, but use a shortcut of the volume buttons for quick brightness changes.

By opening the engineering menu:
Phone > *#899# > after sale device calibration > enter 6776 > skip calibrations till AS front light calibration. This is related to the light sensor. The calibration fails at this point. In other phones it works in a second.

I am anxious to know that myself. I googled and found this link:
http://www.htc.com/sea/support/htc-one-max/howto/436321.html
That page link answers the question completely except for one one dilemma: on my HTC One Max there is no power saver mode option to be found, in the hidden section or otherwise. Could it be that these instructions were just copied from those for the HTC One, but that option was omitted from the Max? I'm puzzled too.
I found a page in the HTC One Max help entitled, GETTING THE BATTERY TO LAST LONGER to be useful:

on my sprint phone, running viper rom, in settings, the first item is Power Saver, on or off..
not sure if its that way on stock..

I use greenify but happened across this...
It appears powersave kicks in automatically on the verizon Max. I hadnt really noticed because I keep my display not very bright usually. When I got my second verizon Max on which the display is kept much brighter I noticed the display dims pretty drastically at 15%. Pretty crappy that it does this because that also means it throttles the cpu and etc without me telling it to. Cant wait for kernel source...
Help.
I am running the Remix OS on a usb stick, and tested on two different notebooks ( Acer Aspire E1-571 and Asus X550LN ). Both of them works very well, but only on the Acer the screen brightness works. There's any command or anything for I can change my brightness on the Asus notebook?
Thanks!
Same here with Vaio ..needs the quick settings in the notification panel.
I've found Settings>Accessibilty>Toggle High contrast text improves situation slightly. Though hardly a fix and is becoming nauseating.

QUICK FIX!
Use Fn+left or right key combination
In /system/build.prop change ro.remixos.box=true to false
Then you will get a brightness notification like the one in the picture. You can use that to switch brightness.

Calibrate gyro
You should try calibrating your device, found same while playing real racing 3, there was a calibration options in the settings, it asked me to place the device on a full flat surface and tap calibrate or something, i did and the issue was solved! Tap on kernel version in about phone and you'll enter into device testing option where you can calibrate your gyro... hit thanks if it helped..

Here's a calibrate option to calibrate your gyro, it can be found by tapping multiple times on kernel in about phone, place your phone on a flat surface Like a reading table, at this time the x y and z readings should be zero, if it's not, place calibrate and don't move your device, after successful calibration it'll show calibration success toast message, check the attachment below:

Many Mi 5 users with JDI display panle might have seen that the screen tone is warm compared to some other Xiaomi phones (3s prime). The screen stays yellowish no matter what color option you choose in display settings. Though the saturation of the display is good, but the white balance is bad in my opinion. I have found a way to slightly fix the warm tone with an app called "Screen Balance" which is available in Play Store for free. You can give it a try and see if it fixes your problem or not.
Here is the settings I am using for my Mi 5. Give it a try or calibrate in your own way.
Search in play store with the app name. It's easy to find. :fingers-crossed:

Nope.. It isn't consuming battery.. Using it for 3 days.. And it doesn't edit system file. Don't forget to lock it in recent apps.
Regarding Panel: Go to "About phone" and tap 5 times on 'kernel version".. It will enter into CIT.. Click on "Check version info".. From there, you can find your display info.
I've set up fingerprint app lock. In the unlock screen, the display appears bright on the right and black on the left. Until this morning, everything was always black on these screens. Now I don't know why it turns on the LEDs on the right. The photo exaggerates the effect but it is evident. By setting the brightness to the minimum everything is normal; Raising it a little, it begins to be noticed. This problem is present only on these screens (during the unlock of apps) and nowhere else. How can I fix it?
thank you

I tried to activate and deactivate it but nothing changes. I have also downloaded several apps to test the screen and trying with all types of lighting I don't have any problems. Could it be something related to the fingerprint reader?

Try unlocking with and without DC Dimming. It's in Developer Settings, see if anything changes
It may be a silly suggestion but make sure the lockscreen wallpaper is pure black
This is a common issue with most optical scanners. With somewhat grey background such as yours, the partial lighting up of the amoled can disclose all the uneven calibration. This can be minimised to a greater degree with software updates, like how Apple, Samsung or even Vivo did. In my GT2 Pro this issue is absent in general.
I contacted Realme support and they suggested I send it to the warranty repair center. Could they improve calibration or replace the entire display? Or is it useless to send him for assistance?
