Question Does Package Disabler cause battery drain? - Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

I remember back when I had a Galaxy S9, after using Package Disable to disable Samsung bloatware the battery of my phone got much worse which was weird since I thought disabling the bloatware would actually increase battery life so I stopped using it for years and I switched to other brands of Android phones anyway. Now that I have an S23 Ultra I was wondering if anyone has used Package Disable recently and what their experience with regards to battery life was.

It uses almost nothing unless it's interface window is open. Even then not that much.
Disabling packages blindly can have negative results. Use only as a last resort or for total trashware like Device Wellbeing. Disabling a parent app may cause excessive polling by dependencies if they're not disabled as well.
Don't go too nuts, the many smaller Samsung system apps are best left alone. Know what the app does that you are disabling...

No problems since about 3 months. Runs flawlessly with no remarkable battery consumption.

The actual app itself doesn't cause battery drain. But as Blackhawk stated and I've found to be true, don't go crazy disabling things because some apps have ties to other apps as dependencies and Disabling one might cause the other to go a bit insane.

[Q] Bad battery life

Hello, 3 days ago I've installed CM10.1 nightly build from 2013-07-25 on my friend's Galaxy S III (international), now his battery life is really bad and he's complaining on me, any way I can improve the battery life?
Here goes a screenshot (as you can see, he wasn't even using the phone when the battery just dropped 50%):

Cyanogen mod roms are known to drain battery much faster than touchwiz.so you cant really expect the battery life to be the same as on stock or stock based roms. you may improve the battery life by using an app called Greenify. it hibernates apps so that they will not run in the backround. this can help considerably. also make sure to turn off gps , bluetooth, wifi. and mobile data when not in use.
well first tell your "friend" that thats how things are in AOSPs. Secondly use differrent kernels and proper setting to get max battery (tutorials are available) plus greenify apps you do not use. And the usual killers as GPS/WiFi/NFC/3G use only when needed or turn them off..
Something is extremely wrong there. Get a normal usage BBS dump and post it here. Also take screenshots of the BBS pages.
Also post a screenshot of your battery stats page (one that shows which apps drain battery).

Issue with Amplify (Xposed module)

I recently started trying out Amplify and found out that it's actually draining my battery, preventing the phone from going to deep sleep. Sure, it does tame wakelock of specific processes, but controlling wakelock due to those specific processes act up my phone and cause other wake locks to appear. Not to mention that the phone feels more buggy.
How do I successfully configure Amplify? Should I just not use it? I feel like it's causing more headache than save battery.
I would advise you to use Better Battery Stats. You will have to configure it and let your phone charge up to 100 then unplug before bed. Partial wake locks since unplugged.
I have noticed certain things can go strange with amplify. But it's all trial and error.
What do you have enabled in amplify?
This is my setup :

Hey - I'm trying this App, too - by following the instructions in from the guide 'extreme battery saving with greenify amplify and Co" or something - dont know the exact title... Now I recognized that there are some Apps not loading probably. I guess blocking one Service / wakelock and then reboot and test the phone will be necessary - but it takes a lot of time...
Had to chime in. I've been using Amplify for about 3 weeks now hoping for better battery life. It actually got worse and I had got to the point of keeping Wi-Fi and GPS off til needed (they were always on prior to Ampliy). I jumped on XDA today and ran passed this post. I froze Amplify this morning and yep, battery life is back to the way it was prior to Amplify. Maybe the paid settings are needed for a better effect?

Charge Indication screen keeps showing up on lock screen while charging.

Hey guys,
I've got the S6 Edge and have recently noticed that occasionally a screen pops up indicating the charge status on the lock screen when I'm charging my phone. On the screen, it has a round and green charge meter. Under that it says which type of charge it currently is doing: speed, continuous, or trickle. Then there seems to be a big ad for installing Samung +. I had previously never seen it before. To my knowledge, I've never changed settings that would enable it. I'm currently trying to disable it, but I don't see the option to do so. Could it be associated with a specific app? Any help would be greatly appreciated! (I've got two screenshots of the indicator I'm talking about, but the system won't allow me to attach them until I have 10 posts.)
(I apologize if this topic has already been covered. I tried using the search function and was presented with mostly Quick Charge issues. If so, send me to that thread and I'll delete this one.)

My wife's phone (Moto G 2015) is having the same issue. No idea what it is and we've uninstalled a ton of aps already.
This started happening to me today and I've figured out from another forum that it's because I had a Go app installed. I had Go Weather installed which I've used for years because I like the widget. Unfortunately it gives no indication that it will alter the lock screen and there's no option to turn it off which I find unacceptable so I've had to uninstall it now.

Galaxy S4 I337 Phone package causing inordinate battery drain.

Hello there,
I've noticed in the past couple of days that my phone's battery has been draining like a sieve. I popped into GSAM and found that my phone package is eating 50% of my total power usage. I've had this issue before with Android System and stuff, but that seemed to fix itself.
I've tried a soft reset to clear any memory issues, but that hasn't done a thing, I've lost 30% battery in an hour.
Any advice on how to fix this?

My phone is running 4.4.4, if that helps any.
Thanks a bunch!

Try flashing the stock rom with Odin, probably something is corrupted in the phone app

Nah, having it for some time already. Not a lot of improvements but regarding battery life, it is back in the line with One UI 4.1 maybe. 5.0 was pretty bad for me at least (Qualcomm version here). But with location enabled, the drain is still considerable. I am considering making a full wipe to see if it does solve the lags over the UI that it shows from time to time. The least important things (animations), improved. I'm still trying to understand the reason a company like Samsung (or even Google) put so much effort to a truly worthless features like animations. I really don't care about things flying around, I just need my applications running as quick as possible, preferably without redraws...
For reference, a factory reset helped to restore smoothness, battery and even small lags the phone was presenting occasionally
