I'm using Spark os is great but battery drain ( need custom kernel)
All gsi has this wrong , if you set password and reboot and enter password , you can see annountcement " wait for 99999 seconds " and you need reset
I don't know but i never set password for gsi rom
Stock (Sam) Rom is the best for everyone. the other GSI or ROM is suitable for whom that test it themself.
I've been using Ponces' s AOSP A13 GSI for a few weeks now with out issue.

Hello,
I'm using from six months or so the Lineage OS rom for my device. Since I changed rom from MIUI to this my phone reboots by itself like 3 times per day. I want to know if there is a solution for this problem except changing rom.
I also have flashed the franco kernel and magisk, if this can give you more necessary informations

download latest firmware+rom+gapps
wipe cache+dalvik+system+data
flash firmware+rom+gapps
I had the same problem on Lineage and OmniRom, so I wiped everything and installed ViperOS, all good
Rooted my redmi Note 3 kenzo with supersu. Even after granting root access es file explorer Pro & similar apps are unable to install, uninstalll multiple apk files in 1 click.thought problem is with supersu so replaced it with magisk but the problem persists.my friend can install multiple apk in 1 click on his moto g2. Please help me to solve this problem

I used both magisk & supersu but nothing works.titanium backup works.
it works on ported miui nougat roms&viper also
but in all other runs it fails.

iam using dual boot patcher.have 5 roms.miuipro nougat is primary.es install is working in it.but not working in nitrogen nougat,oreo & miuipro mm & rr.using red wolf recovery

Dual Boot is logical to me but running 5 roms at a time simply shows you want to be Coc$y not Geeky .. you asked for problems now you should know to find the way too.. Good luck!

I have tried all roms without dual boot patcher but(1 at a time) but the problem exists

working in ported roms like epic,miuipro nougat
not working in most of the roms
1. Download a Poco rom that you want
2. Open the zip on your PC or mobile
3. Navigate to "META-INF/com/google/android"
4. Open the update-script with a text editor
5. Then remove every line at the beginig that starts with "assert" (they are almost always the first three lines)
6. Save it
7. Flash the ROM and a custom kernel for our device and enjoy it
(optional)
8. Flash this Magisk module to set the right build props for our device
Tested ROMs
This is the best guide I found yet!

No I don't think this will work.
Mi8 and Poco has almost the same hardware. That's why it works. Oxygen is for OnePlus and it's not similar as Poco.

Has anyone got the OxygenOS Poco Port to work on their Mi 8? I'm currently trying but it's not booting up.
This is what I've done:
-changed the OxygenOS update-script
-wiped data,cache,dalvik + system
-did factory reset
-flashed the rom (prepped OxygenOS)
-flashed Mi8 kernel
-flashed DFE
-flashed the vendor.img you need for OxygenOS
I see the Oxygen boot animation but after 5 mins of trying to boot my Mi 8 resets into recovery
Would really love an OxygenOS port for the Mi 8 so hmu if u got this to work

I'm on revolution os with my xiaomi mi 9 transparent edition 8GB 256GB. It's rooted with encryption working. Google certified.
Battery over night with discharge of only 3%
See pictures in the link above.
With this recovery I've got also tested full backup and full restore and it's working (With 4 digits pin and activated fingerprints)!
Which recovery you're using?

Have a look in revolution os thread.
I've installed the recommended twrp and ros after revolution os is running, I've flashed the twrp fom post1, formated data and complete internal sd. Installed magisk Then booting and set security pin and fingerprint. Rebooted to new twrp and password is your 4 digits pin......

The combination of twrp and revolution os is working fine, before I've had other twrps which gave problems to install ros and/or problems with decrypt.
May be other combinations are also working....
Battery consumption is only as an info for those who wanna have a good standby and everyone can decide to flash like me or not.

With PE you might get much better standby drain. I don't wanna go back anymore.

Sry I'm beta tester and the builds are bad right now with battery drain. Forgot what I said. Maybe in future Akash will fix that
Yesterday I bricked my Cepheus when I'm trying almost all variants of TWRP, got corrupted vbmeta.
And this TWRP saved my Cepheus, thank you!
I'm unable to encrypt device (settings > advanced settings > encryption) with any android 10 based custom ROMs. If I try to encrypt it goes to boot loop.
few ROM ( arrow and superior ROM) maintainers/devs confirmed that it works.
am I missing something?

I'm on superior. Not working for me either. Dev said that he would fix it in a following update.
Its happening to me too, the only rom that works for now is PE 10.
Some people say that if you have the kernel in permissive you can encrypt in roms like Havoc-Os/Evolution X.
Is there anybody that can confirm this? I don't know if it's secure or if you can change the kernel from enforcing to permissive, encrypt, and change to enforcing again (there's an app on xda labs that can change the selinux status but i'm not sure if it's a good idea)
