Reset Call Duration - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Inside System>Device Information>Call Duration are timers which seem to be more useful than that in the phone software (call log). Anyone have any idea as to how to reset these timers?

You want to reset Recent Calls?
Go to the Phone window (Start/Phone), then Call tap Call Log, then Tools at the bottom, then options, then you get the reset option for recent calls. Hope that's what you're looking for.
It was possible with xda 1 using xda manipulator but not as far as I know yet available for xda2.
i don´t think it´s possible yet... i also wanted to do that...
But i think if we could find the file in which it is stored and swapping it with a file from a new XDA2 it would be possible
Some hackers interested it finding the solution?

This has now been officially added to the FAQ
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/inde...etx20.thex20.callx20.durationx20.countersx3f.
I will give you my answer here :
As far as I know nobody has found a way. There has been thread about the counters jumping to extreme high values. But no clear solution has been given to set them to 0.

Yup... my ROM from ZeroX shown 'UNKNOWN' after soft reset.
Not always, but after repeated soft reset.
Very easy.
You can set back call duration as you want
While the phone connected, you set the clock back, save and hang up your phone. Now Outgoing time is changed.
example, Outgoing: 14h32min, and it's 11:30AM, simply set clock to 1:30AM, Your Outgoing will be back: 4h32min
You can do it same with Incoming, but this time you have to use another phone call to your phone
To test Outgoing, you can call to Service center because it's free,
To test Incoming, you can connect to GPRS
Caution:
If you set back more than your Counter, it will show million hours but you can set it back

hi folks,
Just for my curiosity, why would anyone be interested in reseting the calls timers ? .. I couldn't find any "innocent" benefit
If you want to monitor your monthly usage, i believe there are many s/w for this purpose.

I know for the himalaya there is another way to reset call timers according to the Service Manual XDA II :
bootmenu : Power/Action & Reset, use navigation up/down : Item 13 : CLEAN TALK TIME.
I don't know if this is possible with JASJAR. but my guess is that there must be something similar.

speed dial problem

Hi all on my touch pro when i press and hold down the number 1 for speed dial to my voicemail, it doesnt dial it. it just hangs there as if there is no number for the voicemail. Ive checked the settings and my phone number is there. All other speed dials work fine. I did a hard reset and it worked again, however when i restored a backup to my phone it messed it up again. My only assumption is that one of my registry tweaks messed it up. Does anybody know if there is a registry setting to fix the speed dial so I dont have to rebuild the phone from scratch again with all my settings. thanks so much

Voice calls while in data

I've had no luck being able to answer voice calls when I was in a data session. The incoming call screen will come up, but when I touch the green answer button, as well as the hardware answer button, all it does is mute the ringer. I can't answer the call. I've tried editing the registry:
"HKLM/Comm/ConnMgr/Planner/Settings/SuspendResume
if it reads GPRS (or something like that) make sure you change to 777#"
but it won't let me edit it with CeReg editor. I've tried all the settings for GPRS in advanced config with no success either. Anyone have any ideas aside from a hard reset?
Found a solution to the reg edit issue at:http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=40427&page=8 reply #78. Works great now with the reg edited to reflect #777.

what he means is that when the call is connected radiation is at its peak
so if u wait for it to connect and then put it near your ear you will save yourself from radiation
however i can not tell if the program itself works
he has only 1 post
You can just watch for the call timer to kickin for GSM phones, then place the phone in your ear.
But that doesnt work for CDMA. So this might be an option.
I will try this and see....thanks.
Great! This is really the app I looked for several days. Thank you for your post.
This app will give a short vibrate indicating that the your outgoing call is answered, so that you have not put the phone near your ear when calling.
you dont need this cab press phone > menu > options > scroll down and check vibrate vhen call is connected, but thanks on try
Hi!
This app is useful for me, I have an old Diamond and it works, but on start a popup window appears with a message that I cannot understand what it says, cause chars are messed up and it asks to press yes or no. I don't know what it says, so I press yes and it works.
If someone can tell me what this thing asks it would be nice and also, if I can make it stop asking, cause I would like to put it to autostart.
Thanks!
This is a Chinese program so the letters do not show up correctly. You need to run this program only once as it does not run permanently. Instead it will (on first run) register to the Windows Mobile notification service:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Notifications\WStart.cnCallVibrate
adding several values below.
This will make the program run (and vibrate) when a connection is established.
A second call to the program will make it detect that settings are already in the registry and ask if you want to un-register it. If you answer "Yes", then the association is removed (hence no more vibration on connect), if you answer "No" then nothing changes.

Thanks for the answer tobbbie!
Finally I understood what's going on with this application
English patched Version + readme added
I have patched the original file and added a readme - original file still included. Get it from the attachment. Readme tells:
CallVibrate(WStart.cn) will register to the Windows Mobile notification
service at HKLM\System\Notifications when first started.
You get the response "Activated" after done and a short vibrate.
A subsequent call to the program will ask if you want to deactivate it.
Select either "Yes" (to remove the notification) or "No" to keep as is.
Program was patched to deliver English strings (keeping length intact)
instead of Chinese, no intended functional changes were done.
Guidance was taken from the patched CallerLoc.exe found in Aleut's
Typhoon Kitchen to identify the locations for patching CallVibrate.
To complete documentation, then the "FileDescription" in the resource
was changed with ResourceHacker from some Chinese string to
"Vibrate on outgoing Call Connect for Windows Mobile"
to depict its purpose also there.
The program itself seems to be an offspring from the Caller Loc program
which is maintained at: http://wstart.cn/
CallerLoc is much more powerful but has little use outside of China.
It creeped out of the ROC (to Russia first) removed of all configuration
data and used only to deliver the Vibrate on Connect function.
This can be achiedved also with this simple program for the sole purpose
to give a short vibration when the outgoing call connects.
