Hi all
I have a problem with my Serial port COM1:. I try to use some applictations that it use the serial comunication and all of it say me that the Serial Port COM1: doesn´t exist. Have anybody som idea about this.
I have made an hardreset and the problem persist, I have watched the registry and all the entry are in its places and are correct.

Have you turned off the IRDA?
Try Settings-->Connections-->Beam and uncheck it....

Hi !
Can anyone help me ? My IE on my PPC 2002 doesn't work properly because when I enter the web address and tap Go, nothing happends. Before when I tap go, the dialog box appears to input username and password but now it doesn't appear and doesn't connect. Connection for dialing is OK.
I always meet this problem when I install many softwares onto my PPC2002. If I do the hard reset, it can connect properly.

it seems that one of your installed s/w updates the registry keys for the defauly connection link (GSM or GPRS). Try installing them one by one after hard reset and test IE in each step

hi guys,
now this one really bugs,
i just upgraded to wm5, not only its an amazing experience, its like being in the future with a xda ii in my hand,
but the problem is while using it as an external usb modem
after clicking start in the wireless modem option,, it shows error :-
" COM OPEN ERROR (8).
i had been using the device as a modem with wm2003se it worked fine.
i am not a techie. but would be glad if some one can help me out on htis one plz

Delete all com ports under bluetooth set-up.
I have deleted all the port on bluetooth set-up but i still cant make my xda ii as a modem.. :'( there still error while opening com port (8) as USB modem... :'( help me please.. :'(

if you get an error on the pda i would look if "auto recieve beams" was turned off
if it's on the pc i would remove all old hidden comports defined in devices
I 've unchek the incoming beam, I also has deleted all the old comport on ny PC, even i 've try it on other PC, but still the com port errors (8) appear. i've also hard reset my XDA ii but still have the same problem. finally I chek the device modem with some kind of tweeking app on my XDA ii, and there's only 4 modem I have on XDA ii,
1. Bluetooh Modem
2. Bluetooh FAX Modem
3. Serial Com (1) Modem
4. and 1 other thing I forgotten
but there is no USB modem built in my Hyma upgrade wm5...
:'( help me please... any one.... :'( i 'll be so greatfull for it... :'(
Notes : i've use Bluetooh as a wireless modem and its works fine unless the speed is so... so... so... slooooooooowwwwww......

with the Original o2-Rom and WM5 it was possible to setting up a Modem Connection via USB for my Notebook with the Tool "Modem Connection".
I want to Install my Prophet as Modem for my notebook.
How to do that with WM6 and the new Rom 4.0.0.0.4 PV?
Unfortunately theres no tool with that name...
Anybody ideas?

I have the same problem. I solve it in this way:
Set your network on PDA.
Open "Sharing internet"
Select PC connection Bluetooth PAN
Network -> your network (Vodafone for me)
CLick Connect
This way work for me...

Foto is T-Mobile SDA (Sonata) but pins I searched in SPV C550.

are that jtag pins have any connection with display message "data crashes. contact your service" on my spv c550?! Are they broken or somthin' cuz some guy tell me that i must change them to fix my problem?
Did someone try this?! Are the points ok?! I am going to flash my hurricane through this JTAG points so i'm not going to suprise me if something didn't worked ok?! And, is the WIGGLER cable ok for this, and if someone have bootloader and all need software for the JTAG flashing!? I will be thankfull!!!
who can give a complete guide how to make it work for a typhoon . now i use a wiggler cable can communicate with my typhoon, also can load a .nb file ,but how can i let my typhoon into the wish bootloader, my typhoon is in using now all is ok i just want to test how to change the SPL version via jtag method,everytime i loaded the SPL nb file ie.064, clicked run--go from--10000000---ok,if i hold the camera button the phone just white screen nothing happen cannot detect by mtty,if i dont hold the camera button the phone will startup nomally into wm6.1.

Hi to all owner of eMobile eMonster Lite S12HT and other visitors! I need your help. My device is the same S12HT, but while flashing it with different radios, SIM and CID unlocking, etc procedures, I wrecked my radio. Now my device doesn't register on carrier's network, sometimes "No service" and "Searching for network....". Nike radios from other non-S12HT devices can't help me. Now my device even has name Niki100 instead of Niki500 as it was out of box. To restore Nike I need to get correct radio from S12HT.
Can someone help me?

Update: I just found that s12ht works on 1.7Ghz W-CDMA only. Too sad!!!!

Already flashed 1.15mfg. I can test rtask. But QPST status was non download mode.

To connect QPST Memory Debug you should use QPST Configuration utility to select right COM port. To select COM port force S12HT to radio bootloader mode, connect it to PC, open Device Manager in Computer Management, select Ports (COM & LPT) and you'll see there Qualcomm Diagnostics Interface with right COM port. That number of COM you should use in Configuration and after that Memory Debug will work ok.
Any problems write down here, we'll help.
PS: Is your radio from normal working S12HT?
