SDIO? - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Would it be possible to make an software update for the XDA to allow SDIO support?
Found that there is a rom update for a IPAQ 5400 that adds SDIO support.

If they can do it for the IPAQ why not the XDA?

SD SDIO Question

I know that the xda only supports SD memory and not the more flexible SDIO devices. Does anyone know if this is a hardware limitation or is it lack of software?
Both.
Hardware doesn't support SDIO. Neither does Pocket PC 2002.

which gps receiver is best with XDA?

hello,
i want to buy a gps receiver, but don't know which one is compatible with my XDA? Can you also tell me if there is a serial from a different make i.e. ipaq that would fit in the XDA?
Do they all work well with Tomtom II?
thanks for your help.
Ipaq gps will not work as it is wired differently, any nmea compliant gps will work with xda, I found the Haicom hi-203e to be a good unit and leads for charging xda and powering gps are available for just about any pda you can mention. Tomtom will work with any nmea compliant gps unit. www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk

No, the XDA does not support SDIO
