Hello does anyone had the same experience? Can any1 please tell me what am I doing wrong?Maybe my xda suck balls.Last night tried to beam some wav files up to another cell phone and failed. But the xda recognised the oter device.Strange things.I'm telling you it sucks.
You may need to select "receive" on the other device.
some phones may not be able to read that specific type of file, I beamed contacts to many phones, but i tried beaming it to a Tmobile camera phone, and it did not work, a simple contact didnt beam, so i dont think its the XDa...like I sed b4, u need more then one variable tocome to a conclusion
tried to 3650 nokia
Of course the 3650 ,switched on the recieve indication.I was trying to beam ,mid and wav files to my gf 3650 phone.
Thank you anyway guys .

Bought xda, can't believe it cannot send faxes.
I'm going to through it away and get back to my old good Nokia Communicator if you tell me there is no way to send and receive faxes with this poor machine.
Also impossible to open tif files.
Tell me it's just a nightmare pls.
come on,
relax ...
and enjoy your phone.
there is pletnty of apps for viewing image files ... so there is no problem
as with the fax machine ... only one solution so far:
http://www.ksesoftware.com/products/ce/communication/truefax2/default.html
it only runs on ppc2002 and you can go and try it from downloads.

hi my problem is that I was recently on ics 4.0.3 and on the infrared remote app I had a sky+ option but since I rooted and upgraded to release5a I have no option for sky+ or logik . Could some one please tell me if its just me or if they have removed the support for sky and logic.
i have also tried copying the 3 files irremote, api and service files to datapp/vendor0/app, datapp/vendor1/app, vedor/app and system/app and still no look.
ive also changed my region back to uk sgpt112gb/s
.
Any support is appreciated.
Thanks matt
Hi Matt,
I see you have some troubles with the infrared connection on the tablet. I know it's an old issue already, but personally I never got running the IR connection on my tablet S model sgpt113ch/s, even with the originally installed remote-application. In some blogs I read the hardware is ok but the software (some activation programming) is not integrated and must be built. Apparently some guy wrote the corresponding code around 2014, but the project was stopped. Maybe I'm missing some other files. What I see is, whatever app I use (e.g. television remote device) to run the IR connection, the led is not lighting up at all ! Maybe some file containing HEX-Code is also needed ? You are mentioning the Irremote and other two files... can be I also miss those ? Appreciate any help, buddy. Sorry for the long mail, but this stuff drives me crazy
Thanks, cheers

Hello everyone ,
I do not know if my problem is an Android limitation or if it is inherent to LineageOS, so sorry if I posted in the wrong place.
I saved and recycled my old Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 smartphone and flashed LineageOS 14.1 Android version 7.1.2 on it (works fine for my use apart from a few small bugs).
I can not find where to set the possible extensions for sharing by BT. I can transfer a JPG photo or a PDF for example, but NOT an OGG audio file and for proof if I rename an OGG file to OGG.JPG I can transfer... So not very convenient and if it is supposed to be a security, I find it frankly ridiculous !
Until now I transferred with a USB cable between my Android and my PC with adb. But I find it more convenient to just have to turn on BT temporarily from my Android so I can transfer what I want and turn it off afterwards. I also tested by wifi with the simplessh app, but the problem is that for security I do not have access to the entire smartphone in reading. So I have to juggle between storage (smartphone, SD card) and also it forces me to activate the box's wifi (I try to put it on as little as possible). That is a lot of operations for nothing...
Note: my smartphone is rooted, so if I have to get my hands dirty and dig into the depths of the system, it is not a problem...
If someone can guide me to make it a little more practical to use.
With Adelphity,
lnj
Is that so complicated ? Or maybe my question is not clear enough ...
I do not know why nobody answers to the questions I ask in XDA ...
This is the second time.
Nobody to say : this is complicate to give a working solution or simply your question is not interresting or we do not care about people who want make their device continue to work after their life and we do not care about people who do not want to make some waste and we just want to make dollar the uniq god.
I saw that XDA was often quoted as a reference in Android matter.
I am disappointed with the welcome you gave me !
However I found an area to say what I want as nobody react to it. It is wonderfull !
Shame on you !
I tried to transfer an ogg files via bluetooth to no avail.
From what I understand it's a security question and some extensions are blacklisted, but I'm not tech savvy enough to help you bypass it.
Hi barbe31 and a big thank you to be the first person to answer ! I suppose the same thing but what I find very confusing is that renaming can bypass this restriction. Just to dig, in what an OGG can be a security problem ? It is just an audio sound ...

Click to collapse
After reading a bit more, it seems the extensions allowed to be shared via bluetooth are on a whitelist. For instance, you can't transfer apk or xml files this way, if I'm right.
I hope somebody more skilled can help you and find a solution.
