Hi,
Has anyone experienced problems with the connector pins on the base of the XDA1. I have supplied 10 recently with 8 failing either with the pins bending or the edge connector displacing. O2 inform me that they have not had any problems in the past with this, can any one else who has experienced this or any other pin related problem please email me with details a.s.a.p
Thanking you in anticipation
Roy
Yea this happens when the device is being forced in to the cradle over a period of time, try having them use a sync/charge cable instead.

I asked this question a couple days back in a different section as have yet to get a response so I figured i'd be more specific here.
I require a car charger with 2 mini USB connectors to charge both my GPS and Hermes. Can anyone suggest a supplier please?
Do a ebay search for "car splitter" when i do i get about 31 results as im in australia.

I got one of these and have my 838 in one hole and my gpslim in the other. Works a treat.
Just watch out not to play bendies with the cord as mine is now playing up cause i bent it too far but otherwise it works great.
I've not seen a Y-Cable as such..
You can get a cigarette lighter adapter with 2 USB sockets coming out of it, that would do what you want as well.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dual-Port-USB...ryZ14968QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Is it what you are after?

Thanks
Thanks to Nick for ur reply but i'm trying to keep the amount of accessories I carry with me down to a minimum so that isn't what I am after.
Thanks sam for ur suggestion, i had spotted one of those before making the post but it wasn't exactly what i was looking for.
Finally thanks very much butpatbut for that link. It meant i actually took the time to read the listing rather than just eliminating it but looking at the picture like I had been doing while trawling ebay before posting the question. It turns out that is exactly what i am after, problem solved.
Thanks again ppl.

You can find a mini-USB power Y cable here:
http://pc-mobile.net/dcadapter.htm
While it will work with Holux, it will not work with Tytn unless you add the mini-USB intelligent power adapter.
Does anybody know if this solution is going to work:
http://www.buygpsnow.com/universal-...dell-x51v-etc-charging-tip-available-856.aspx
They have an optional mini USB tip (p/n DC-S100) that can be attached to the non-usb lead of power supply. Thus we are going to have a dual power adapter with 2 mini usb leads. The only question: is this going to work with TyTn?
I have a problem with my C550, I hope someone can help me:
A carcharger won't charge my phone. It senses the cable (screen goes from black to lit) but it won't charge. I use a motorola USB-charger, which worked on my SPV-M600.
I have the same problem with my PPC Techs Lil Sync USB AA Battery Adaptor I use on my bike.
The phone also won't charge on a PC without the proper software (active-sync?) installed.
I suspect it to be a software-issue in WM2003SE, maybe a registry-setting?
I have considered an update to WM6, but in that case I would like to backup the original rom that the phone now has, so I can revert to it. Can someone give me a link to a howto, or explain how to do this?
charger from motorola doesn't work with c550. i bought motorola charger to and it doesn't work.
I found an interesting message on spv-developers. The only thing then is how to do this. Pin 4 is not connected, so you can't connect line 4 and line 5 by cutting the cable and joining the two lines. Buying the C500/C550 car charger solves my problem partly because my lil sync remains....
I have solved the problem. I have bent pin 4 on my phone so it connects to the outer shell of the mini-usb-port (=ground). Now it charges off everything I feed to it.

Hi,
is that pin 4 as in the official pin 4 from the mini-usb pinouts so thats the far right if looking at the mini usb port with the phone facing down?
or do you just mean pin 4 counting from the left?
Hi, unfortunately I broke the mini-USB connector soldered on my qtek 9100. now I know how to load the battery or rather I ordered a battery charger from China but I will come no earlier than 20 days. Now while I unsoldered a 5-pin connector of an old camera and I paid the phone. The problem is still not working. my question is:
it takes a mini USB 5 pin connector for my particular phone or go well all those who are around?
Thanks and I hope I was clear!
I solved all the mini USB port I had a tiny piece of tin made contact, I removed it and now everything works perfectly!
It is good to hear your success story. My brother has an old Cingular wizard with a broken USB connector. He dropped the phone while it was plugged in. I will visit him next week, and will try to repeat your success.
He still has a stock Cingular ROM, and has never had a data plan.
He uses it as a PDA that happens to also be a phone.
Hi
Please excuse me being a newbie with a slightly odd question
Someone recently gave me an old HTC Himalaya to play with (O2 XDA II). The 'phone had been dropped and wouldn't charge up. Taking the battery out and charging it separately I was able to get the 'phone working fine.
I dismantled it to find that the 22-pin connector for power and data had completely detached itself and it fell out of the case. The pins were badly bent so I soldered power lines directly to the main board and it charges fine.
Now... what I really want to use this 'phone for is the heart of a vehicle diagnostics system (written in Pocket Zeus) so I need a working RS232 connection. I used Bluetooth to transfer a couple of test programs to the 'phone and they are showing that Com 1 won't open, but Com 2 and 3 will.
Can anyone tell me which ports the RS232 connections on the Himalaya match up to? In particular the port on the 22-pin connector. I can hardwire a 9-PIN D serial plug to this connection if I can get the port open.
Many thanks in advance and all help greatly received.

Hi
Just received my P9000 and updated to the new OTA 20160419 right away.
My problem is that I can only charge the phone once, then I have to do a power off to be able to recharge it.
I have tried with both standard USB charger, a "real" USB-C charger and QI. The results are the same.
When the phone is power-off the charging works as expected, so the hardware seems OK.
Anyone else seen anything like this or am I just the lucky owner of a defect phone?
Regards
Jakob
Sounds like a defective unit to me. Perhaps try first with another USB-C cable (see other thread on the dodgy cable Elephone ship the phone with) before sending phone back.
I would advice the same. Seems like a faulty device. First try using a different charging cable, I am pretty convinced that should help.
If not, its a hardware related problem I guess
I have tried with both other cables and with 2 different QI chargers. Same result. I have send a question to the reseller.
I updated my phone ....(elephone p9000lite ) few days ago and that was the point charging problem wosen .....24hours of charging only to give 35 %...plz help
Same problem phone had updates now phone won't charge unless turned right off can any one help
