Oh boy, some people have all the luck. I have a QTEK 1010 and I was upgrading the ROM which seemd to go fine, the display warned me not to disconnect etc etc.. Then we had a powercut! The main PC went dead and the 1010 froze on the updating screen ('this may take 5 minutes..). Now I can't boot. I can boot the diagnostic but no full boot and to crown it all the PC can't recognise the device. The boot goes to a corrupted screen which used to inform me not to remove from cradle.
Can anybody help? I'm not sure about the terms used here, what is a 'hard reset' and how is it done? Would that help or am I stuffed?

Ok, well I trawled through the forum and found a way of booting from a card. It seems to be fine now, back to its old self. Great!!
hey there been a member for sometime and have tried to search for a solution to my problem and am abit confused.
and sorry if its such a newb question (dont burn me for it)
i have an o2 atom exec (using RC3 rom with touchflo) and yesterday i /soft reseted/ the phone because it was acting funny, after the reset it would be stuck at the startup screen and would not load past that the whole day, so i waited and re-tried in the evening.. the same thing occured... i was at the time able to load into bootloader (MN2) but then could do nothing else.. so i searched throughout the forums and found a post by 'chartreux' http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1684559&highlight=EBOOT.NB0 but had not read the entire post and proceeded to load (mn1) onto my phone via mini sd card and it worked, my phone was working again, it performed a hard reset and restored it to factory settings (ie: calendar, msgs, contacts, software all gone) and phone is working normally again... since it has done this i wanted to update to 'wm6.1 atom exec rom' just to be up-to-date and have synced it via activesync and have run "DSUU" but my phone just restarts and loads the current rom i have installed! and just repeats everytime i have tried (have tried atleast 50 times)
so my main question.. is my bootloader dead? i know my phones not bricked since its still working perfectly im just not able to upgrade my ROM but can still do everything else (such as browse through files, run programs, make calls)
and last of all.. can anybody please help?! as i am at the point running the phone over with my car!
and once again am sorry for the stupid question.. =/ and thanks for hearing me out!

what version of your bootloader now? MN2 or MN1? if still MN1 please read again the thread to update your bootloader to MN2 (since your device is ATOM EXEC).
and after done, please check when you run DSUU, see on the left bottom whether have a drop down box or not? if yes then choose "ALL"

and, as for the DSUU it just restarts the phone after i choose all, and goes through to the today screen on the phone, and as for the DSUU update its stays at the screen which shows "The current software is now being updated from your device."
followed by an error appearing after a few minutes showing " No download target was found!!" even though my atomexec is synced
which is then followed by the "connection error" screen.
please help.. this is seriously pissing me off...

try to downgrade again your bootloader to MN1 (please do it step by step). as long you can secure your bootloader, hopefully you can resolved your problem.
remember to upgrade again to MN2 once you able to downgrade to MN1 before try flashing to wm6.1.

still cant access bootloader.. even when trying DSUU it just boots straight into the operating system, when trying to update and also i tried the MN1 bootloader again and tried to get into it... still nothing.. it just resets, i tried it with my 4GB mini sd, 2gb msd, and a 64mb mini sd.. could not get into it... sigh...
Ok try a deep breath and read all the posts on dead boatloaders and other upgrading problem posts through and through. Then try to change ur USB cable and what system are u using i.e XP or Vista????
thankyou kindly, for the suggestions i have been reading through alot of posts and tried alot but.. nothing so far.. i guess its not too bad since its stuck on windows mobile 6 with abusalzas rom..
im just annoyed i cannot upgrade to the latest 'rom' and since my phone 'had' to perform a hard reset why not update so yeh.. and i am using windows xp for my computers os.
Did u change the USB cable mate, once I had to do it and the interesting thing is that the same USB cable was working perfectly for other things but causing problems when connecting to my Atom Exec.
yeh tried it with my old v3 cable didnt work has the same outcomes.. sigh.. i might try that dead bootloader hardware and software recovery from this post by Alex_Beda & 1stMASTER

You just try the DSUU with upgrade "OS" only and not "ALL".

Actually i have the same problem, i tried to get into the bootloader by press and hold camera + reset button it just restart and load the WM
Dead atom exec
My atom exec having problem ( dead ), so after press camera reset sw my atom can booting normaly but touch screen function only for entering password and then touch screen not response anymore. I check the system information by touch the button (manualy) but IMEI not ready and Radio not ready.
Pls someone can help us.

i am new to this forum. last night i was installing EzInput 2.1 for my HTC Jasjam, i did a soft reset after the installation. The Telstra logo showed up, and then it just turned white after that. I didn't even see the Windows Mobile logo come up.
any help guys?.I've tried the solutions available here like trying the hard reset, the soft reset, removing the batter for half an hour, plugging my HTC with my USB cable with no battery..but not the JTAG 'coz I'm not an expert at that (I might risk damaging my fone even more).
I've been up all night trying to find some solutions..but still can't get it working..

Okay i was trying to force update the latest 8107 update on my mozart and suddenly my computer went dead, and now my phone is bricked i guess, tried pulling out battery, tried hard resetting but it always goes back to the "Plug in to computer(when its installing updates picture).
Anyone else know what i can do now?

My wife did the same by pulling the cable out on my mother in law's mozart. Unfortunately I had done the upgrade as a guest and as such didn't have a restore point as soon as she took the cable out.
So I unbricked by restarting with the power and vol down to get into the SPL and then flash a stock rom see thread with all the ROMs, then got windows (zune) to do all of the upgrades again.
After I got most of her data back from the cloud, the only real thing that she lost was her text messages, a few emails and some pictures that she haddn't sync'ed.

I successfully flashed Android to my HD2 a few months back. I used what I believe is Cotulla's rom(?). However the other day my phone sorta died and whenever I plugged it into the charger it would vibrate go through the boot screen and reset at the "1234 go go go" stage. I read some reading on the forum and flashed it back to "RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship" from the HTC website, using the SD card. Windows mobile restored the phone and I started using it again.
I tried to put android back on it and I think I unsuccessfully tried to update the radio after which the phone sorta died again. So I thought ok, no problem, lets get back to windows again. So I installed the HTC rom again through the SD card, which the screen told me was successful. But now I can't get the phone to boot or go into bootloader or anything. When I plug the charger in, I get a vibrate and HTC bootscreen, with the red writing at the bottom left and then dead to only do this again and again. If i pull out the charger, the phone just dies. Battery charge was about 50% when it died.
Any ideas or help on how to resurrect my beloved HD2 would be greatly appreciated!
*quick update*
I stuck the phone in the fridge for a while and managed to get it into the bootloader just once and flashed the official winmo rom again, which was successful but still dead phone!
What made you decide to stick the phone in the fridge??

Probably the dozens of threads that talk about successfully flashing only when the phone has been cooled.
@op it doesn't look good. Usually the fridge trick working implies hardware overheating issues.

It's definitely not TMOUS, its UK Virgin and the SPL was 3.03.0000 if I recall correctly.
When I cool it, I can get it into bootloader, but only once.
well, i still suspect its hardware and unfixable, but there have been cases where for whatever reason a rom suddenly seems to fix it. Try all the versions of the correct stock Rom.
Try the 1.43 the 1,66 and again the 3.14, wwe ones, chilling the phone well before each flash, a good 20 mins.
