thank is nice
but not hard reset can you tel where hard reset
thank you
Sorry?
I don't understand what you're trying to ask...
but if it's how to do a hard reset...you need to hold down the power button (top left of phone near the storage card slot) and then use the stylus pen to perform a soft reset.
To avoid the next obvious question, soft resetting involves taking the stylus and, using the tip, push it in the circular hole underneath the green phone button...also quite near the microphone.
Your manuals should provide you with any information you need should this not make sense.
Thanks
Anthony
yes i mean
thank you
i mean that
my ppc is WM2005
so i not hard reset
Can you tel me where hard reset
How to...
WM2005 is a little diffrent,
to hard reset you have to hold down the:
power+camera+record then reset button
then a menu will pop up and to hard reset it,
scrol down and say yes to the last one using
the camera and record buttons on the side
then enter and it should hard reset your device.

Unscrew the top of your stylus and push it into the smaller hole just below
the headphone jack, press it once to turn the device off then once more to turn it back on, Hard reset completed!

hi. i want to hard reset my atom life. how can i do it?
do assist me. need it as soon as possible. thanks.
This is grabbed from another forum after a google search...
"It's normally press-n-hold the on/off button --> press the reset button.
When the green+red button command appears, let go of the on/off button and press the green n red button simultaneously.
This is the standard Atom series hard reset method. Not sure for Atom Life though"
First, Hold Power button and insert stylus into the reset hole
release power button and remove stylus. you should now see message on the screen saying about hard reset, press and hold both green and red button at the same time until. when it's done system will reboot itself.
what risk if when hard reset the batt getting low?
Hard reset normally takes less than 5 seconds to clear out your older settings. Though you better charge it before hard resetting.
hehe.. if the batt getting low and die . so how?

a.f.a.i.k, ther wont be any critical defects on ur mem-card n my docs.
anyway, hard-reset clears off the saved data in ur "my docs". so it doesnt matter anyway.
its better to avoid such situation wher u dont have much batt left, and still go do a hard-reset.
a hard-reset normally take onli like less than 4-5mins.
unlike flashing in new rom from dsuu mode or sd-flashing mode, wher its safe to keep a 70% lvl of batt b4 start flashing.
hm.. hold power on/off and reset ... i try twice fail.. how?

To hard reset.
Keep the Power On button pressed. Then put the stylus in the reset hole. Dont leave the power button till you see the hard reset screen.
This is the exact way. I've tried it so many times
1. Hold the RECORD button (the one near the camera button)
2. While RECORD button pressed, with your stylus, push the softreset button (the one at the bottom, in the hole)
3. Hold both button for about 5 seconds
4. Release ONLY the soft reset button first
5. Then the screen will display some hard reset sequence
6. Then you can securely release the RECORD button
Attention, those are the step by step. Missing one sequence, and it will be failed
But, after the hard reset menu apeared, i don't know which menu to select if i need to hard reset my atom life. Any help with this?
i recently unlocked and loaded my nike with a new rom in english. the rom was the mary that is quite cool. the phone was working fine untill i put my data back with sprite backup....it warned me that the backup was preformed with a diferent rom but i ignored that part, well...after it reseted it never went passed the welcome screen again what should i do?? can i hard reset my device? i know how to soft reset but that didn't work either...
olipro or all you other geniuses HELP ME!!!!! i love my phone and dont wanna loose it!!
A hard reset should sort it out.
Hold down 'talk' and 'end' (the green and red buttons on the front) and poke the reset button. When prompted press the center button to reset.

1.000.00o thanks!! i happened to stumble apon this at htc.com shortly afterwards, seems that this solves any rom update problems by what they say (it's in the faq area).
sorry for being such a newbie but my phone's manual was in portugal and i have recently moved to london, it's on the way though.
ok, i've searched, but there's sooo many threads with 'soft reset' in it's daunting. i just want to know if i can soft reset my niki without an app installed? if not, is there an app to do this single task, not a cluttered app like wisbar/lite/wk etc.?
thanks, sorry if i've missed an obvious thread and feel free to flame!!
eheheh.
just long-press the power button. it will turn your phone off. then long-press it again
hi, thx, i know that one, just wandered if any other way? as this completely restarts phone. the apps just seem to reboot it quicker?
The long power off press is best, you can do the more tedious take off the cover, use your stylus at an angle near the usb port and reach the soft reset button.
ahh, thx all
How do I soft reset Toshiba TG01. Tried searching with my limited skills but dint get anything.
Try to search in user manual (page 22)
1. "RESET" button under back cover or
2. Press & hold power key for 15 seconds or
3. By software like that.
Thanks a lot...
Should have checked the manual. Most basic thing. With the convenience of internet we get lazy to check the old stuff.
There are a few ways of soft resetting the TG01.
1st you can use the softreset you find in programs like SPB mobile shell and Quickmenu
2nd you can use the soft reset button located under the battery cover.
or 3rd you can press and hold the power button. If the phone has locked up, I find holding the power button in for a couple of minutes turns the phone off, if its not locked up a power off window should pop up on screen.
If you meant "hard reset" then thats a different matter and I think a thread already exists for that.
You can also soft reset by removing the battery
I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned:
1) Remove the battery.
2) Count to 10.
3) Replace the battery.

If you add the attached shortcut to your device (can be placed where you line, but suggest in ..\windows\start menu) this will allow you to simply tap to achieve exactly the same effect as pressing and holding the Power button. When the device has powered off, then simply press Power to restart; that is a Soft Reset.

I use this app, which is also skinable. Loads of skins available to match your theme.
To avoid to have to remove the back cover when TG01 is blocked, I made a little hole in the back cover!

Slight confusion here.... that is a HARD reset. And as stated will loose all installed apps, settings and data (other than data on uSD Card).
