Please help me ,i tried almost all of the methods mentioned here to upgrade my dead i-mate pocket Pc put always i get the error (error 102 Ce Rom Update error).
actually when i start the upgrading the upgrade utility cant get the device informations

actually it happened to me at first when i tired to upgrade the ext. rom ( i was trying to support the arabic language)

After failed update Ive decided to go back to 1.66 imate rom ( my device is imate) but whenever I try to do it it gives me error ERROR 100 - deivce ID error. imate stuck in bootlader.

C'mon people, help me out here. I've tried all roms 1.52 original, tmobile, o2 - they all give me this error! Is there a way to avoid device ID checking?
Becare full you guys!! This ROM is FULL of ****!! Upgrade is OKEY!! But DOWNGRADE or STUCK in the MIDDLE while you UpGrade it, YOU WILL GET MODEL ID ERROR!! THAT"S FREAK!! i have a huge problem. my rom flash for my i-mate (qtek 2020, mdaII, XDAII) hung during flashing (from 1.66 to 1.72 official i-mate rom) during the ce upgrade step 2. now my i-mate just hangs at the blue i-mate screen and i cant connect to it through pc anymore, get error 101. is there any way to get a good rom on it again (can i connect to the ppc by another way, other software or sd-card0 so it will work again, or does it have to be epaired at at a rapaircenter?

If all that happened was it hung during upgrade you can put the device into bootloader, power+d-pad+softreset button, and attempt upgrade again, but if OS you were upgrading to is corrupt causing the hang a new rom might be the way to go, www.buzzdev.net has everything i needed, or clubimate.com
I have same problem. My q-tec100 is reseting so I can' connect it to pc for flashing again. Please tel me what is bootloader and what is d-pad button so thad i can stop it from reset and connecting for flash

i had a problem while i was installing a cocked ROM
i installed a cocked Rom LILLY ROM v1.2.4 and i wanted to get back the original Rom again.
so i Run sspl-1.16-nike.exe from my phone and i started to install the official Nike ASIA WWE 2.12.707.2 Radio R 1.65.29.22
during the instalation on 14% i received an error:
Error 264 connection and till now i can't get my original ROM and can't use my phone i still see the 3 colours screen with the message: Upgrade ROM code error please try again.
i tried alot of times to do recovery by the same software but all are failed
please help me!!!

I have a big problem. I flashed my HTC Touch Dual (Swisscom XPA Touch Dual with Italian language) with SSPL first. Then I forgot to flash the device with uSPL or HardSPL and a new ROM (official HTC wm6.1 German) was failed in the middle. Now I have the "upgrade rom code error". Flashing the HardSPL or uSPL is imposible now, bcause of the "ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR". I can't find the original ROM (swisscom italian) for the device, all other official ROMs brake with the error " ERROR [294]: INVALID VENDOR ID" (because there is no HardSPL / uSPL, right?). I have USB connection in bootloader mode (can go there only, the operator system is lost) but in the device manager there is MICROSOFT USB SYNC and not HTC USB SYNC (can't identificate the device, only as a "Qualcomm..." in "devices and printer (WIN 7 x64). I have done all the steps for "drivers for WIN 7" and tried it on a (virtual) WIN XP with the same results. Is there a way to save the system with mtty (it's too difficult for me) or other processes?

I got it after two days full of desperation! Mtty was the solution. Two simple commands like "set 16 0" and "task 8" and my device was ready for flashing again. But now step by step.
I have a new ROM on it. Great!

I have same problem with my niki plzz help me
Always showing bootloader screen with rom upgrade error
I was trying to revert to windows custom rom from android (due to frequent freezing) and then onwards booting the phone I am always getting the bootloader screen displaying rom upgrade error.
I tried hard reset but still the same problem persists, then I downgraded the HSPL 2.08 to SPL-1.42.HSPL and then tried reinstalling the custom rom but still the same problem persists. In between after downgrading the HSPL, I tried task 29, it was unsuccessful after 96% (shows Invalid Command (Error 290)), while reinstalling the customRUU I have, I got something like error 270 at the end (it goes fine till 100%).
I also tried with installing the radio (ver 2.15.50.14) in between but to no effect
Please help me in fixing the issue, my phone is of no use now
