Hi,
I flashed my G4 wizard with xpl.rar(IPL/SPL 3.08, Radio update 2.69.11 with X-plorer splash).
I rebooted and worked quite well , untill I rebooted.
Now it doesn't power on , it doesnt even charge when I put the charger in it.
I've pulled the battery out , in the hope this will "reset" the unit?
Does anybody know's a solution?
Are you sure it was a G4 (IPL/SPL 2.xx.xxx1)? Because if you've flashed IPL/SPL 3.08 on a G4 you've got a bricked phone!

i flashed several times my prophet with diferent wm6 roms but i allways downgrade to wm5, cause some issues i didn't like,
this morning i tried to upgrade to wm6 again, made the procedure
1 Hard reset
2 connect to pc and wait to activesync to come up
3 run upgrade utility and wm5 flash started
after a while the upgrading process stucked at 5% and gave an error, i don't remeber whitch it was,
but since then my prophet always turns on in bootloader mode, you can do nothing, even turn it off, the only way to turn it off is removing the battery,
when you put the battery again and press power on it starts in bootloader mode
the diference that i notice it's that now the bootloader shows
IPL 2.09 and SPL 2.09 not anymore SPL 2.09.0000
so i tried again to flash the prophet but it always give me this errors
300 when i used the wm5 spanish rom
and 274 conection problem when i use the temp pdaviet rom or the fantastic mobiz rom
when i plug the prophet to the pc the bootloader displayes USB but activesync never starts
what could be my problem i used the correct G4 roms
please somebody help me

Second i think u flashed ure phone death cause of the wrong rom version (G4 instead of G3)

I had SPL 2.09.0000 too, and used the G4 upgrade utility to wm6 and worked good.

well since his device is not working i think he didnt
i have .0000, been flashing G3 all my life...
i got a locked wiza200, i tried to unlock it using lokiwiz02b and Wizard Service tools. both said its unlocked, THATS OK, it happened to me before, so i need to downgrade it. i searched for a rom, but it didnt accept any of them. now its time to unlock its CID, and i used Wizard service tools. it said its a G4.
so I tried the SoftSPL but didnt work for me
now its time for the Hard one. i used the HardSPL G4 and got it unlocked.
well. Still cannot find any rom for it. untill i used the Love Wizard.
and Grrrrrrrrrreaaaaaaaaaaat Its working just fine.
BUT and big BUT
it doesnt accept any Arabic customized ROM.
it shows the letters as a big Boxes.
so what about a new rom?! yes I said.
search and try download and try. non of them accepted.
even MrClean couldnt be flashed.
well, and after all this long story.
i enter the bootloader mode manualy then using ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID
and the MrClean nk.nbf
i flashed it successfully.
and the wiza200 restarted successfuly
and booted successfully
and showed the mrclean splash
and bringed me the first run test pointer/copy/paste/set password etc..
and showed me the something will do something after 3 seconds
and start installing
HuHHHhhh. its going black, the screen went black.
click here click there. push every key take off the battery put it back again
power on power on PLEASE power on.
NO WAY
i just want to know, Why.
Do you think your battery may be completely flat?

well, its time for the hardware try.
The "the MrClean nk.nbf " you used, did you strip it?
Because it's quite an old ROM, and I believe it only contains G3 IPL/SPL.
If you have flashed your G4 with that one, you probably have killed your G4 by flashing an G3 IPL/SPL to it..

but as i said before, it was working.
so how could it reboot after update but cannot startup on power on?!

If you flash a wrong IPL/SPL to a phone it always starts up once.
But upon the following reboot it won't accept the IPL/SPL and will hang on boot (black screen).
As for now there is no way to get out of this mess.
This is what I have seen till now:
Device G3 with IPL G4 / SPL G3 gives a black screen
Device G3 with IPL G4 / SPL G4 gives a black screen
Device G3 with IPL G3 / SPL G4 haven't seen this one
Device G4 with IPL G3 / SPL G4 gives a black screen
Device G4 with IPL G3 / SPL G3 gives a black screen
Device G4 with IPL G4 / SPL G3 gives a bootmode screen, but doesn't allow you to update or flash.
All boot the first time after Flash..
On second boot, the increments hit the fan so to speak..
I have one Tytn that was bricked while flashing Radio rom. I tried everything that I could find on this forum and nothing (flashing from Win, flashing form SD card, tried with mtty - no luck). When I try to flash any radio rom it stucks either on 0% or 12%. I could boot the OS, but the problem now is that I wanted to try one more thing - to downgrade SPL (it was IPL 1.04 and SPL 2.30 Olipro). I used Hard-SPL v7 first but it didn`t downgrade, and then I tried the procedure for downgrade from mrvanx, frist with Hard-SPL v2. And then I was shocked. After the flashing procedure was 100% complete the device turned off, and now I can`t turn it on. I removed the battery for couple of minutes - nothing. It`s dead. It is like there is no battery (it is not the battery, i tried with another one that works), nothing happens when I press the power button.
Did someone had this problem. Is there any hope it could work. If I can`t bring it alive, could the HTC service do it???
Sorry for opening this topic that fast, but i was in a shock when it happened. I succedded to bring it on, I didn`t know that hold the reset button longer! Maybe this could use to someone. Never give up

Once downgraded to old spl you were able to upgrade the radio rom?
Is it correct?
I thought that I will be able, but it seems that my radio bootloader is corrupt. I am reading now the forum, and I think (if I understood it) that I have to write raw radio rom (.nb file). Am I right? Anyone!
Hello to everyone. I am newb here. I need a great men to help fix my phone. I got a Cingular 8125 G4 CID-locked but sim-unlocked device. Prior to upgrading, it finely works in a Cingular Official ROM and WM5. Now I decide to put some more interesting rom - a AKU 2.3 rom (if i am not mistaken this is a Wizard Love Rom). It was upgraded successfully. Then I flashed another rom which I am not familiar with the content. Unfortunately didn't go right this time. Now I am stuck with RGB screen. I even use shelltool in RGB screen (even knowing not to work in this kind of mode). In the middle of the process, the device turns off and shelltool hang, never show progress. I pull out the usb cable from the device. Then when I turn on the unit it gives me the RGB screen showing IPL/SPL 2.25.0001 with no splash screen, OS and GSM. I tried flashing different rom which I know is safe for G4 CID-locked device but no luck at all. I can get through 96% and the device turns off automatically and return to blinking RGB screen with on and off usb connection. Did I bricked my device? Please help revive my Wizard 100. Thank you in advance.
Nopes ! your phone is not bricked,as long as it gets into Bootloaders (RGB screen) its safe.
Download official cingular stock rom and flash in Bootloaders to recover or flash wizard_love rom.After recovering,don't use shelltool,its risky and old method,now a much better method is available.Either upgrade through 'SoftSPL or HardSPL'.
Thanks for the reply I appreciate it. I did all that, download the cingular official rom from the link I got from xda forum and wizard love rom and flashed it but no luck at all. It gives me the same problem. When doing the upgrading the phone restart at 96% and reboot itself showing different error every upgrading attempt. What I only got in bootloader screen is the IPL/SPL 2.25.0001 no OS and GSM (Radio Rom). Maybe I got a corrupted file in my phone. Or just my battery. I tried wall charging but no good. Should I buy a new one or try my luck again. BTW, the error message appeared during upgrading are 274, 302 and 260. The first two seems to be serious matter. Please help me.
Probably,the battery is the culprit here,if its not fully charged or not having enough juice,it won't complete the flash,there are many comm errors due to weak battery,try to get it charged and then try.
How many hours just to have a fully charge battery using wallcharging?
Or maybe my battery needs to be replace. FYI it's 1 yr and 8 mos old now.
My Wizard was revived this time. The problem was the dead battery. I bought a new one and everthing goes fine when I flash the Official Cingualr Rom. Thanks to zabardast_1 and the gurus here in the forum.

Hi. I have searched the forums, but haven't found the answer I have been looking for, so sorry if this is a repeat.
I am working under Windows 7, installed VMWare and XP Pro on it, and easily installed Hard-SPL and Cracings 6.5. When I went to upgrade the Radio, I was sure to download one without SPL and IPL. I tried to upgrade, but it hung at 2% for at least 5 hours. (I knew it was bad in 2 minutes actually, but decided to wait). Now it will turn on, but to the tri-color boot screen. Tried hard reset (although I didn't really expect it to work). Is there anything that I can do? It shows when I connect it to usb, both on the phone and on the computer.
It is FAR out from under warranty, so thats out, but if there is anything I could try, I would be much obliged for pointers. Thanks a lot!

You need to make the update with RUU 2.5.2

Try it, if even that does not work (for me it works only with wizard_love ROM
( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...293480&page=21 loca's post), but not with other cooked ROM's) then you can try WST wizard service tool
( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329170 ) to unpack the nbf and load only the OS ROM.

How can you use WST if only on bootloader. Please explain as I have similar issues...

I had exactly the same experience as you: Hard-SPL followed by Cracing and then the tri-color screen. This thread helped me revive my G4.

Hey I am having the same problem but with my G3 att 8125. I flashed to 2.26 which I always do before installing any rom then installed X2A Haseebs Iphone Killer and it stalled at 57% for over an hour so I unplugged it and hard-reset it. I have installed this rom about twice and it works fine. Now my phone starts up and goes straight to the Tri-colored bootscreen. When I plug the phone in it displays that it is connected via USB but the computer doesnt recognize it. IPL 2.26, SPL 2.26 as displayed on the screen. PLEASE HELP!
