I have as you can see beneath a T-mobile MDA Vario (G4 Model), and it is unlocked... Sim aswell CID..
I want to install WM6.. My IPL/SPL is currently 2.21.0001
When I try to install the WM6 Crossbow i get an error saying: "invalid update tool".... strange
Can anyone help me upgrading my MDA Vario to T-mobile...

I too had problems at first after having my phone both SIM and CID unlocked. I used the flasher program the LOVE ROM and then copied the WM6 ROM file I wanted into it's directory and flashed from there, worked great!
Its working now

I bought the m600 two weeks ago and read about the unlocking in the Wiki. I folowed the steps but it seems that after executing lokiwizMSL.bat and pressing enter to start it lokiwiz can't find my mobile phone, it says: cant find path. While it was connected with activesync. after this it says its unlocked, but i cant find the code anywhere
Does anybody knows what I could have done wrong?
I really need to Sim unlock the phone because it can't read my other non-orange Simcard

I tried to unlock the Prophet again, for some times. I Copied the cab's from the Utils folder in the Lokiwiz03a.zip file to my Prophet and executed them.
(The two files : "Cert_SPCS.cab" and "EnableRapi.cab")
But I keep receiving the message ".....kan opgegeven pad niet vinden" (cant find path)
Please help me
What is the path that the Lokmiwiz is searching for, and why doesnt it sees that I'm connected via ActiveSync, which I was?

That's the problem about G4 devices! It seems that HTC has changed the path for unlocking so we have to wait for a new unlocking solution for our G4 devices!

Hi. I'm from Argentina and travel a lot because I guide motorcycle tours in South America. I use different cell phones all over south america.
I mainly use my SP in Argentina (CTI Movil)
My girlfriend bought me (yes you can say I'm a lucky guy ) this beautiful M600 in France with Mobicart. I tried to unlocked it usind the lokiwizMSL 0.3 but did not work. The message was that the path was not found.
I installed the cabs in the PDA and this erased the picture in the desktop.
After that I ran again de lokiwiz, and had the same answer. The path is not found and did not deliver the precious code. The PDA was connected at all times. It also says that ECHO is disconnected. I have no idea what ECHO is (sorry )
Do we still have to wait for a new version of the loki software? Is there any other way? Can you help this southern beginner?????
I can say that my SPV is a G4, bought last Dec.

I've just unlocked my M600 ORANGE.
I used lokiwizMSL 0.3 on my desktop PC (ACTIVESYNC V 4.5)... That does not worked... I used lokiwizMSL 0.3 in my notebook (ACTIVESYNC V4.2) and It woked very well : I've got the precious number !
Know I put my SFR sim into it... That's OK
So... If your PC says "path is not found" try to unlock your M600 into an other PC !!!

G4 = "Disk On Chip" is a other Version.
G4 unlock with Lokiwiz: Activesync 4.2
I have Prophet G4 and unlocked with the Lokiwiz software (I don't know which version anymore, I unlocked ± 1 year ago).
I used Activesync 4.2, definitely not 4.5
Good chance that M$ added (bij accident of course) a minor surprise in their latest Activesync version.
4.2 can be downloaded on several places, f.i. here

More problems with my SPV M600
Someone has given me a PDA (SPV M600 or Qtek S200) but he tried to upgrade it to wm6. Unfortunately he doesn't know everything about it because this PDA is 4G and he tried the sequence as the PDA was 3G.
The thing is, in the middle of the process the machine starts to run but it is blocked and the screen shows:
Orange:
IPL 2.21.0001
SPL 2.21.0001
GSM 0.2.19.21
OS 1.0.13.21
After do a hard reset the message is always the same. I can't do anything!!
What could I do?

If anyone is interested, I used activesync 4.1, the disk came with my SPV.

I finally exchanged my MDA VARIO for a HTC Hermes (AT&T 8525). The device is already SIM / CID unlocked and I successfully flashed it with a German WM6 from O2.
My question:
Does anybody know if I can flash the device with any HERMES ROM? I would like to flash it with the German T-Mobile version but as far as I know the German T-Mobile version is a HERM300 and the German O2 is a HERM100 (like the AT&T 8525). Does that matter for flashing?
You can flash any Hermes ROM on any Hermes model.
The different models are just different housings.

tried it already by myself. Still a problem: I flashed the German HERMES WM6 (for HERM200) and it worked fine. Afterwards I tried the German T-Mobile (HERM300) - flashing process went fine. However, it was hanging at the splash screen. The only one thing I could do, was, to enter the bootloader manually and flash with the DOPOD version again.
Yep, does not look like there is a compatibility between a HERM100 and HERM300!
I tried once more to flash the device with the German T-Mobile WM5 (HERM300) and it does not work - hangs on SPLASH again and is saying on startup: NO GSM
hi there, i have received a tytn from germany, it had wm5 in germany,i did sim and cid unlocker and flashed it with hardspl7 to put shaps portuguese rom.
the thing is, every time i put a wm6 rom the tytn freezes at htc splash screen.
to unbrick it, i have to put an wm5 rom with 1.04 spl and it freezes again at splash screen, this time saying "No GSM", have to flash a radio rom and it backs to normal.
i dont know what i can do to tytn loads a wm6 rom...
It is impossible to flash wm6 in this tytn??

no, its a htc tytn - hermes 200... its working 100% with wm5.
but with wm6 it doesnt pass the splash screen...
its not the first time i upgrade a tytn, but this is happening for the first time, its really strange.... i dont what i can do more..... any help?

I am not sure what all that means, but i have successful unlocked many mdas. I bought a 8125 of craigslist that was supposively unlocked but when i have a t-mobile sim card inserted it asks for a lock code. I know the phone has mobile 6 cooked my mfrazz. I am not sure what the heck is going on with this phone but I have read and tried every unlocker i could find, even off of ebay and i am very frustrated now... please help me!!!! I cant live without my wizard!!!!!!!!!

Well,it seems from the look of it that,although it is 'HardSPL' and upgraded to wm6, but before doing 'HardSPL',the phone was not SIM unlocked,only HardSPL and upgraded to wm6.
Ok,try to generate SIM unlock code through lokiwiz03a,hope it'll work. Otherwise,you might have to remove 'HardSPL' revert to official rom and apply lokiwiz03a.Then HardSPL and upgrade to wm6.

If it is really G4, then you have a brick.

you can download the softspl software which is on this forum,
who is your service provider vodafone, orange etc... ? which country
as you can reflash your ipl/spl back to the original carriers version with this software !

starkwong is absolutely right,if its a G4 ,flashing 3.08 will definitely brick the phone.

SoftSPL doesn't reflash back the original official ipl/spl of the carrier,it just only flashes the patched ipl/spl to the phone temporarily to trick the phone in thinking its CID unlocked.Do not misguide the newbies.

Are you sure its a G4 ?what was the original ipl/spl of the phone,before upgrading to 3.08, what is the present status of the phone,does it load up to any OS or is it stuck at bootloaders(tricolor screen) or is it completely dead,non responsive ?
I flashed my G4 with ipl 3.08 but on that post i linked too there are the original ipl/spl files for most carriers and then you put that .nbf in the same directory as softspl (as you would when doing a rom flash) and he presto my ipl/spl is now back to original !
So im talking from my own expereince !

Download the WST 4.2.2 tool ,run it and post the report it generates here.

Post the exact version strings when your are in tri-color screen (If you really flashed G3 SPL to G4, the device should not be able to boot and stays on tri-color screen, which you are not able to use WST).
If IPL is 2.2x.0001 and SPL is 3.08, then it is definitely a brick. If IPL is 3.08 (or 3.08.0000) and SPL is 3.08 (or 3.08.0000), then you misunderstand it, it is a G3 not G4.

I have a G4 and accidently flashed wizard love which gave me ipl 1.01 instead of 1.01.XXX. I used SoftSPL-V0.1 to update my ipl back to 2.01.XXX but I still can't flash any rom
did you try to flash it with a "No Vendor ID" Flasher?
