How unlock extrom in wm5 os without CID Unlocker (supercid)?

I tried some tweaks as well. All the best I got was an unhidden ext_rom, but this one did the trick for my Hermes.

I have read all I can, and have tried Flashing various ROMS and Radio's with no luck
It does not say No GSM, just R:None, G:None
I've tried the Mtty thing, did not help.
I tried Hard SPL, Not helping
Super CID, SimUnlock, Nothing
Can my GSM module (Hardware be Broken?)
Any help will be useful!

Same problem here seems like lots of radio's are getting broken now
Happend a few weeks ago and impossible to flash a radio.

Yep...and little help forthcomming.
I can flash a bios, I can flash a radio, I can do just about anything I like.
The PDA functions perfectly.
Just no phone!!
Our local agents are stumped as well.
They now want to replace the main board to get the GSM back!
I'll just hang on a while before I do that.
It seems there is something more going on at the moment, with an increase in dead radios.
Let's first see what the clever people come up with.

If this happened to me I'd at least try to reflash the factory rom that was on the phone. For me it would be oz telstra, but I'd flash WM06 instead of WM05 as I don't know where I'd find it.... Maybe the WIKI, but I wouldn't hold my breathe on that 1.

this not work i try all i not have kitl mode , and can not use SSPL+ActiveSync because i stack in bootloader-no active sync my problem is to change bootloader when device is cid locked only solution to create Hermes overflow exloit and when i have temporaly cid unlock my device then i can flash rom.
Flash a cooked ROM, leave the device in bootloader mode, connect with USB....run the RUU and select your bootloader version.
The RUU shouldnt care that the device is already in bootloader mode, just follow the usual steps.

I had the same problem, I tried I think all the tips I read on the forum, finally I put my phone in Bootloader mode, I uncheck usb connectios on active sync, and the most important thing I tried with the following ROM: RUU_hermes_CINGULAR_WWE_2.15.502.3_6275_1.40.30.00_108_Ship for my surprise after trying will all kind of roms, this one did the installation of a new radio and finished with 100% in downloading the new OS and radio GSM, I have a working Hermes! If I could help in anything let me know

It is a WM5 Rom, this is the only one I tried that worked at the first try!, however it seems at the beggining that wont work because it takes too much time to advance in the percentage bar on downloading, for me took about 35 minutes, the good notice is that this rom completes the installation and installs a WM5 but it is a good start since once you are done with this you can install hard spL on your phone, you mentioned that didn´t work please be patient if you notice that the percentage bar is working, at the end this will fix your phone.

My phone was cid locked and KITL disable before I fixed it! now I did the unlocking using PoFs cid and sim unlocker and it worked fast and easy at the first try!
I understand your urgent requierement I was 15 days with my phone damaged with the only showing of IPL 1.04 and SPL 2.03 "serial" text on the bottom.

Hey, i recently purchased a HTC Prophet (branded SPV M600 from orange) from a friend.
Since then i managed to get a WM6.1 rom on (shadow 2 i think)
Anyway, back when i did this, i found it very hard.
My prophet is not hardspl'd and i've having trouble changing the rom.
In my effort to change it, i 'bricked' it, however recovered it using one of those WM5 roms.
So my details:
IPL 2.20.0001
SPL 2.10.0001
GSM 02.07.20
Currently i'm running a WM5 rom, however i have managed a WM6.1 rom before, but cannot seem to do it again, whenever i get it installed it just boots to the bootloader.
When trying to HardSPL it just gives generic cannot connect errors.
I've used Prophet Tools aswell as manual guides but to no avail.
Am i doing something wrong?
And btw i'm using WinXP

Hello everyone.
I've problem while unlocking my Herm(MDA Vario II form Era). I downloaded Unlock_v3a prom forum. SPL updated succesfully to 1.40 Olipro byt while installing Radio it stuck on 0%. Then i have only bootloader screen and I install WM 6 wersion of operator (but without Radio etc because when i tried install full it stuck on 12% - radio install). Anyone have some idea what's wrong?
Maybe it is SPL case?

Ok i want to refresh my Thread. I was reading many articles about Hermes and my case now is like that.
My Radio is working i can talking by PDA but only with cards of it's operator, when i'm trying install Radio installation stops on 0% i try to install 1.14, 1.18 Radio but always with the same result.
My IPL is 1.01
SPL is 1.40 Olipro
Radio ver. 1.05.02.00
