This is normal. The program used to flash the ROM will put the device into bootloader mode (colored bars on the screen) and this will cause activesync to disconnect. Just keep waiting and you will see the progress bar that shows the flash progress.
Yes but then the RRU ends in error telling that connexion to phone is not possible
I have seen an other thread saying that with Softbank Hermes RRU does not work

My Orange SPV 3100 was locked on orange and I SIM unlocked only with the help of HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a it worked fine and I now I am using O2 on it
However, now I wish to upgrade it to official wm6 from Orange or HTC it does not work it say USB not connected...and gets stuck on 4 colour boot screen.
Please any suggestion. HELP!

After using the HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a whenever I run a new RRU it goes to the bootloader screen, then disconnects as normal, however when it reconnects activesync doesn't start up

hello I´ve recover my m3100 from a dead brick (after used of universal sim lock) to full working phone
Her is my way
1. I´ve first try flashing a windows mobil 5 rom from my qtek 2020 on the m3100 for 2-3 times
2. then I´ve flas it with the new rom from Cingular ther are using bootloader 1,06..... and IT COME BACK ALIVE....
and if you have a HTC HERMES Then you just find a rom with you phons cid her

I do not know what the flash didt to my hermes but it seems on usb monitor like it slowly after trying to flash the old 2020 rom 2-3 times went further and further in to the program. the screen turn silver and read USB like on the 2020. Every time it just stop (frozz).
Then I just try the new cirguler rom.

I don´t know what the original rom was I think it was on off the first orange releast I got it 20/7-2006
(Do you whant me to upload the zip file containing my windows 5 mobile ?)
P.S. now my problem is that I can´t unlock the phone because imei-unlock do not suport bootload 1,06

It's ok, it was original rom from M3100... no problem, no need to upload anything.
If you have dead Hermes try to flash with Hermes_1.18.416.1_1.18.416.101_1.14.00.10_WWE_Ship.exe For me - it`s work.Regards

I have A SPV M3100 anyoane write same ... for unlock and new freez in "Windows mobile"
when i put in 3 color and i see:

SPL-1.04"
And when is in 3 color and connect to PC ActivSync get error cannot recognize this device
i tried to install wm6 for my device but the install failed and i was stuck with a red, green and blue screen that displays IPL 2.28.0001 and SPL 2.28.0001.... can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
not really a problem, just flash back your official WM5 ROM.. That rainbow screen is called the bootloader screen.. Can you see usb at the bottom of the screen

Download Wizard Love Rom then... it should enable you to boot your mobile phone again!

softSPL requires you to have a working OS...
For you to be able to flash Wizard Love, you need RUU_NoID.

If the device has RUU in the bootloader that is easy to fix:
Connect your phone to the usb
kill wcescomm.exe in taskmanager
open mtty.exe
connect throug: \.\\wces*** port
and in the white screen:
press [enter]
->now a CMD will pop up
@CMD type:
password XTC[enter]
ruurun 0[enter]
ResetDevice[enter]
The device will now reboot
If the OS is OK it will boot the OS, otherwise it will stop at either Bootloader or 3rd splash.

Hi there, bro I can find it for you, I must just know in which country you live and what operator. Like I live in South Africa and use the wwe rom from I-mate itself as original base rom, Netherlands is orange I think, so these details needs to be known as a wrong rom might render it useless. (Bricked, dead kapoot etc....)
I was instaling NBD_v8.3_8MB trough shelltool on my MDA Vario then something happened and my PC restarted I whink it is because of the electicity .... so now when I restardet my phone it is stuck on the T-mobile screen Where it is writen.....

First of all, its not bricked. Bricked = doesn't turn on, nothing, blank screen.
I've looked to your info, you already have HardSPL, so you can flash directly using any RUU, don't use shelltools!
Enter bootloader (hold camera+reset), open up the RUU of the ROM you want (make sure it doesn't have any IPL/SPL) and flash away
well I looked all day what to do and I can not find solution

Ok i have try everything. I have tried the RUU from the HTC site and even everything else when it is searching for the PDA and crashes idk why. I turn on my phone holding the camera and i get to the Red,Green,Blue,White...Plug the USB in and the phone says USB but not my computer??? so i don't know what i need to do please HELP i just got the phone and read you can do all this stuff

You guys wanna see bricked? I have a BRICKED! phone... My MDA was the unfortunate victim of a car accident. When my car went carreening off the road, my MDA went flying through the air and ended up on the floor of the car but not before hitting virtually every surface on the inside of the car.
Now my charge port is completely snapped off and my battery shorted out when I was trying to hold the charge port in place to charge it and fried the main board. DEAD. NO MORE.
THAT MY FRIENDS, IS BRICKED....

Well i got mine up and running agian just used XP and install the RUU from HTC YES.......Now when i go to install WM6 when i press update were it should show me the Ver. of the one i am installing on my phone it does not say why please help and what do i need to install WM6 on my phone?

first of all,as dferreira has assured u that ur device is not bricked,secondly ,you already have HardSPL,that means your device is unlocked,just follow his instructions,download any wm6 Rom and flash,it'll good to go,but if u still want to be sure,download WST Tool from the below given thread read carefully and apply the tool to verify the status of ur device,

When i remove the battery, it goes to the RUU Red, Green and Blue screen. SPL version is 2.16.0001. Not Oli's new one.
What do i do from now?

Soft SPL only allows you ONE update, so phone is CID unlocked only when Soft SPL is loaded.
It's normal for the RUU to stick on 99 % for a couple of minutes, The whole update will take aprox 10 minutes.
You can try the hard SPL from there you are semi-permanently CID unlocked.

Hi all, first of all I am no geek, I would like to unlock my HTC TYTN so that I may use other sims while abroad etc. I have read the instructions, downloaded v£a of the Sim Cid unlocker, however every time I run the unlocker my phone shuts down and reboots. I have tried with the phone without sim with none network sim with Orange sim same result phone shutys down and reboots. I have tried waiting till it is connected via active sync after rebooting but it nust keeps rebooting. I have even manually loaded the hard spl and run it on the phone but my phone shuts reboots and the spl has not been updated. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?.

I have kept trying but still the phone keeps rebooting everytime I try to unlock. Device status uis as follows

does any of this indicate I would have a problem using current unlock version 3a?.

Check to see if the SPL has changed... Go to bootloader - hold power, OK above flywheel and reset with stylus. hold until tri-colour screen comes up. It will tell you your IPL and SPL.
It may already have flashed and that means you can update your rom with more safety.
Do you get any errors when running the pc? For instance [error 260](pretty common).
If that error keeps coming up you need to COMPLETELY remove activesync and then reload. All sync relationships MUST be deleted too. That fixed mine

Run Hspl4 choose 3.03.0000
Get the correct 3.14 rom for your phone (example, a German o2 phone needs the German o2 rom, not just any rom)
Flash it from USB, if USB flash fails try it from SD. (Can go straight for SD if ya like, I just say USB first since its quicker and you already set the spl with Hspl4 in step 1, so no benefit from SD)

try another original wm rom or a custom rom & recommended spl hspl for the rom & see if works ...
Have you tried task29 or flashing via usb with no SD card loaded ...

i put on bootlader mode the phone i plug the USB cabel and run the software (as administrator) it start setup and after 1% i get error massage ( error 270 ).
I tried to use task29 white this rom: RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship
but it stuck 0%.

What model TMOUS US or EU ?
If T-Mobile US (TMOUS) then it would be bricked by that ROM with 51 version Radio.
Hopefully it EU model & just an issue with SPL version !

I dont know exactly, i guess it is unlocked. Thats why i dont know, where can i check it?
TMOUS US is easily identified by T-Mobile logo & green/red call/end keys ...
white screen
It has call keys, but its color are grey, but it dont have T-mobile logo
I had succesfully install a OS (Duttys_Leo_Sense_2.5_5.2.21907.5.0.93_1.80_ML_V4_Ship_PT) from SD card. But still happen the same, after i start the phone it has constant white screen.
