i have xda atom exec i enter to bootload to upgrade rom from sdcard and i recieve this message usb connected waiting for command or somthing like this. after that the device take off and now i have nothing black screen i can't turned on or see the device from pc i take out battery for a long time i try to reset it i try to upgrate rom from pc and i hav'nt connection. please i need realy help.
can i load the rom from sdcard any one have a solution thx

Seems that your bootloader was destoryed. Send it to service as soon as possible.

I have a problem on my XDA II handheld, i'm trying to upgrade My XDA device with ROM from www.myxda.com . ROM version 1.6.0.04 Radio version 1.0.8.0, when the installing is progress, my computer is hung, and my xda cannot enter OS mode, but there some word in display : " serial"
When i connected to cradle, this word change into USB V.1.06. I'm trying to Flash ROM again and it's fail, Error 101, Rom cannot detected.

If it's the XDAII, then you tried to upgrade with incorrect upgrade package.

had the same problem too earlier. Once u cradle it up... u cant connect to the handheld. The only solution i could think of at that time was to send it to the service centre to reformat the unit to stock rom. Now the unit is running as normal again.... but i m planning to make my second attemp to load up SE again this coming weekend

I already install the ACTIVESYNC 4.0, After click the HIMAUPGRADEUT, the update screen in my windows XP just until the 0% there then stop. (the error is can't connect to my XDA II, pls reboot ur computer or ur XDA)

Some people have problems putting the device in Bootloader mode, if that's your case, place the attached file on the same directory as the ROM upgrade and installer.
This will automatically put the device in Bootloader mode.

Dear All master,
I need help on my o2 Atom, when I upgrade it to latest version, it stop on stage 5: Burn in Radio Rom, 0%. Nothing happen even I had to wait for 1 hour.
I upgrade it with original atom rom from o2 site : 'Xda-Atom-ENG-20060426-MOT0822.exe'
The device stay in "O2" screen. this device can switch to diagnostic mode.
what should I do?
Note I repeated loading rom but Ietunai problem in Flash
Probably the Radio Hardware broken.... try to install without the Radio ROM.

u can't update using DSUU from activesync anymore. since u got broken ROM.
u must use Bootloader by pressing:
-power + camera + reset
-plug the USB
-start the update using DSUU.

i just do as u say but the but it fail gives the eorr as i told in my last post

more than likely you will need a 256 or 512MB SD Card, the method discussed here (in most cases) will not work with higher capacity cards. Check the Atom Wiki too.

after u see bootloader screen and waiting to download.
it should be ok to connect to USB and PC will recognize it for sure!
if doesn't... u should try different computer. not yours. just borrow somebody else computer... see the outcomes? just in case u got error/corrupted activesync.
if still not working... u must using SD card upgrade.
Use any ROM.. use WM5 Official ROM.
Extract the ROM.
put: diskimage_Ver.nb0 to the Blank SD card (use 512MB or 1GB)
and activate the bootloader again.
If your device are normal.. it should looking for SD card and start installing the ROM. If your device badly damage.. it will NOT run both method.
i don't know this is your hardware or Software are damage.
Maybe u should send it to the repair... hopefully u still got the warranty.
If Hardware is the problem, usually they replace the motherboard.
because no way to fix NAND memory module.
just keep trying... don't try one time only...

Bro I have recovered from this 20+ times, if its not working (and you can enter bootloader mode) then you're doing something incorrectly, either that or your memcard is incompatible, remember in most cases 256 or 512MB are the only working sizes! So place that EBOOT.nbo into and "empty" SDCard with your PC, enter the bootloader then stick the card in.... It wont take long, once you the screen goes black pull out the SDcard and then enter bootloader, plugin your USB and execute official O2 rom AKU2.2
The flash may not finish completely freezing in the Extended rom update, dont panic! unplug, softreset then flash in DSUU mode...easy as! works every time!

I have done this also even using 1 GB memcard, my memcard is NCP mini SD.
I don't know it was lucky or it does work for 1 GB memcard. Even with non empty one.
But becareful, maybe I am just lucky, perhaps you should use 256 MB or 512 MB only.

Hi, my son has bricked the phone (he play with mtty), NIKE do not power on (black screen and is not possible to go on color splash screen pressing camera+power key) when i try to connect to usb the computer ask me some drivers.

What have you done befor you get this error?
If the Green LED Light, you are in the OEMSBL. Search in the XDA for "OEMSBL" it discript the right drivers and what you can make with it! Have you use in the SPL the "Type 2a" command??
My son try to format the phone with mtty for install new rom. probably he make a disaster.
now the only thing works is the orange led when i connect to the usb port for charge.
if i try to connect by usb cable the computer serch for install new driver but i dont know what driver.
i ask if there is some possibility to do something.

Tell your son ... he need to read all posts in a thread! "Type 2a" doesnt fix defekt marked clusters on qualcomm device. this is a reported error from kaiser!! this is why some spls doesnt support this comando!!! you can found a lot WIKI Entrys about this problem.
to fix it, you need talk with the user "jockyw" or read this thread -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=394584
he must know what Radio Rom Version you have! possible he must edit for you a special "Frankenkaiser" Version to provide a solution. if you need a special version, donate him! one thing ... jockyw is very busy!!!

I try to up rom atom life. Use official rom wm6. while it up untill 17% computer was shut down. Now my atom show "Please plugin the cable and re - enter the eboot" . Then I connect to computer again and Start to up rom again but it show connection error.

I also had same problem like you a few months ago,but i am not sure what i did to correct the problem. but if i'm not mistaken, what i did is i download any cooked rom that available in this forum and suitable for my pda (atom life). Then i transfered it into my external memory. and first i upgrade my pda to the cooked rom. this process does not require for connection to computer as it require the pda alone. you may try this. after you have upgrade it, you may connect back to your computer and upgrade back to the original rom that you want before. but make sure before you upgrade you have at least 70% battery. good luck. sorry for my bad english,hope you understand.

Here you go how to:
- unploug battery about 2 minutes
- replug battery
- go to bootloader again
- restart computer
- flash again
That will work,. dont worry,.
