I followed all the instructions and unlocked my spv m600, no problems, i now run a vrgin mobile sim card, but can not get rid of the voicemail notification!!!
Any ideas?
I hate to assume the worst, but you'll need to clear out your voicemails before the voicemail message dissapears, at least that what Orange does to me.
i think this is not wm6 problem - not for this section correct?
yup, I think this is a user error.

On my T-Mobile Ameo I have Resco Keyboard installed. Naturally I checked on the handset to see if there was a update available for it and there was. But when I tried to install the update it said 'Installation was unsuccesfull'. The problem I have now is that whenever I restart my Ameo it tries to install the keyboard but fails every time. Is there a way I can stop this from happening?
I received a voicemail message on my Ameo last week, I listened to the message and deleted it, but on the Ameo the voicemail notification will not go away. I even put my sim card into another handset and did not receive the voicemail message. So it seems the notification is stuck somewhere on my device. Any ideas how to get rid of this?? and for some reason I am not able to access any of my messages on the device, email mms sms.....
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, I have recently bought a Sim unlocked O2 XDA Mini S. I am on Orange network and put my sim in. Making and receiving calls no problem.
It wont allow me to send or receive text messages. I called Orange to replace Sim and they wont do it. I am absolutely clueless about ROM s or IMEI s etc. and i would appreciate help and explanations as though i am a 10 year old.
All i know is that the device is a G4. I have tried searching forums but have no idea where to find it.
Please help as it is getting really frustrating.
Thanks
I might be wrong here but I had a similar issue, I think it is a case of setting the device so that SMS is the default mail application. I forget where in the settings this is but will look later this evening if you havent found.
Hi, Thanks for that. I have tried to change settings but it won't allow me to do so. I get a message saying "phone not ready, try again in 15 seconds"

I had this same exact problem/message once. I had an orange sim which came with the SPV M700 (trinity) hence it was a 3G sim card. Tried using it with a SPV M600 (prophet) and it kept throwing up that message. Using other sim cards and the M600 would work perfectly. The problem was the sim card and Orange UK will not change it to a 2G card even over their dead bodies!!! Only solution was to go back to a 3G-enabled phone (which I did for a while) or change network which I did eventually (T-Mob - lots of free calls on Flext 35 )
has anyone found a way round this yet?
Hi guys,
I've spent the last few days reading most of the posts on this forum. Thank you everyone for sharing your solutions.
I purchased a X01HT last week. The back says May 2007 batch.
This is what I did:
-I followed Pof's instructions to Unlock the phone. And I got all success msgs.
But I am confused b/c i read somewhere that there is still a SB sim lock b/c it doesn't detect a SB sim. So i have to do something else to fully unlock it?
-edited the ExtROM with Pof's instruction as well
-I flashed it to the newest HTC english ROM available on this site.
-Hard reset
-Used Htweak to unhide the ExtROM. it wouldn't let me delete those files... but installed the Softbank extROM files one by one according to the order on the config.txt
After the last step, the internet was working fine for like 10 minutes. Now it dosen't work, I keep getting the error msg "Cannot Connect. Dialed open.softbank.ne.jp The answering modem has disconnected....."
I can't get it to work again....
I have one more question. Softbank didn't give me an email address, so how am i suppose to email other people from other companies?
I am new to Japan, and somewhat of a phone enthusiast. If someone can help me out.. it would be great. thanks!
Are you sure you have followed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=301952?
Is the phone part working?
Which is the radio version and bootloader you have now???
About Softbank email you need to create your account in MySoftbank website:
https://mb.softbank.jp/scripts/japanese/mysoftbank/index.jsp
Then click in オリジナルメール設定 (Original Mail Settings) and a popup appears. You must insert your phone number and the password you received from softbank in your first SMS. If you lost that message you have to ask them again...
You need to create also a MySoftbank web account (everything in Japanese to check your bill and update optional services.
You are "very brave" to try everything without checking first the basic Softbank setup...

Yeah I followed the thread. I put my SIM from Hong Kong in the phone... and it doesn't seem to have any error msgs.
How do i check my radio version and bootloader? (sorry, im new to hermes)
My phone part works. I can txt other softbank ppl, but i guess not other companies.
The internet was working... it downloaded my hotmail inbox once.. and now that error msg won't stop.
I left the phone on in japanese... for a good hr before i flashed it... I didn't get a text. I guess i have to call them. Do i just set up the mail account in Outlook after i get everything?
Thanks in advance for the help.
For your internet connection try with this:

To use your softbank email, you need to install one application from softbank (but it is crap). I recommend instead MMS Lite... it is somewhere in the forum.
If you don't know the radio version... how do you know what you did was right???!!!
hey man, thanks. i think it working now.... now there's a 3G symbol on top of the signal strength bar. i hope it keeps working
i have spl 1.4. i did that 2 button thing... i kind of don't know what im doing as you can tell....

just letting you know that you can't send SMS to other carriers here in Japan. Only to other Softbank phones. If you want to, you have to send a MMS to the likes of DoCoMo or AU.
I gave up on it as its too hard to get working right!
I was wondering if the radio version could be the cause of my phone not receiving the voice mail notifications? It shows on the front when i get a voice mail but it doesn't say new voice mail above it, it has a V looking thing above it. Nothing shows in my notifications so I cant clear off the new voice mail symbol at the top of my phone even after i check the voice mail and make sure I have no new voice mails. Anyone have an idea how to fix this problem? Thanks for help with all my stupid problems and questions.
VoiceMail
hello, I was just wondering if anyone has any idea why voicemail notifications will not clear. I have unlocked my cingular 3125 and flashed the ROM to WM 6.1. I have no voicemails and it still says there is a new voice message. I have two carriers a local and ATT. Both my cingular 3125 phones are unlocked but whatever phone my local sim card is in tells me there is a new voice message. any ideas?
I'm using the TG01 and I keep getting a false positive voicemail indicator on the Titanium Home Screen. Calling and leaving a voicemail and deleting it does not work, calling ATT to have my voicemail reset does not correct the problem.
When you call into the VM ATT service from the phone to check your messages, it sends a VM control SMS to the phone, indicating that it is not being properly processed. Has anyone else seen this, or know of a problem besides a master reset - which is annoying b.c. this is the second time this has occured in three weeks.
Thanks!
Search for the tool HushSMS. I Had the same problem and did resolve it with HushSMS.
Isn't this the opposite of what we want to occur though? We are trying to hide network messages from the device not from those we send to.
No, with HushSMS it's possible to send a message to your own phone, that changes the SIM Setting and deletes the voicemails that are not there but which WM shows you.
Thanks that worked!
You're welcome
Although...on second thought - this makes it dissapear but does not prevent it from occuring again - was this the same result for you?
No, it occured never again.
Did it occur again at your phone?
Yeah it occurs again everytime I get a VM, bummer. What type of SMS did you send with Hush SMS?
Is there a way to officially set up ATT VM on an unlocked phone that I'm not following correctly?
The rom update Toshiba released recently did not correct this either as I had hoped. Any thoughts as to why these control SMS and MWI don't process correctly?
Removing the indicator with a Ping0 message in HushSMS is a workaround to parse the indicator but does not prevent it from occuring agian.
Anyone know how to fix this? Getting really irritating honestly.
Same here...
I am on Virgin mobile in the UK and I have the same problem, I got a voicemail this morning and I have deleted the voicemail but it still shows on my phone.
I have rebooted and its still the same
I have to use HUSH SMS to clear my voicemail indicator.
For me it's actually a problem on my sim card. After a flash there is this residual text message that says i have a voicemail. It's wierd.
Anyway, it's a MWI Disable command with HUSH SMS
Click Send MWI, Voice, Deactivate.
Also, you can mess with your windows mobile enabled friends by sending an enable
