Well i manage to make BA IA Camera 2.21 works on WM5 Himalaya device so far... :wink: :wink: But still bug remain in it, like rotate preview and stuck when deleting files from album
Any sugestion everyone... :?: :?: :idea: :?

Hey mwilmar,i was kinda waiting 4 u :wink: it's always u when it comes to Magneto camera....thank u..
Now bro,if u managed to run BA camera on Hima Magneto,then u must have disabled OS camera,so can't u just use "camera 2.5 or 2.7" for himalaya 2003 se,it's full screen and good enought :wink:

I installed on my xda2 running wm2k5 1.60c 64. Apart from the video, all functions work. Unfortunately the pictures are rotated thru' 90 degrees clockwise! have you managed a fix yet?.

Yes finally fix rotated preview.....
I change some dll and put them to ram disk so MS camera and IA camera not crash.... and it Work... :lol: :lol: :lol: (but please don't delete file from album, there are still bug in it...)
But it's OK with me.... :wink: :wink: (Install WM5CamReg.cab first than Extract camera.zip) :wink:
PS: Now i can try to fix problem with deleting files from Album...

Well atleast u still can use MS camera 640x480 photo for now... :? i need more time to find it.... (i hope so) :wink:
mwilmar, application runs ok but I cannot capture any image .
I had to map the camera in ramdisk (mine is storage ) to the hardware button. It opens the camera app. but does not take shots.
How do you take shots?

Some thing about change files properties like deleting and renaming still have a problems, Contact Photo is for IA Contact only....
And well if u extract camera.zip other than in the RAMdisk (Storage Card or Root) than u need that WM5CamReg....

I've also noticed something besides the 640x480 res issue...
- If you try to make pictures using the picture theme (doesn't matter what resolution or picture format you use), you won't be able register them - that error message(*) will appear. :-|
- If you try to make pictures using the zoom function above 1.0x, (doesn't matter what resolution or picture format you use), you won't be able register them - that error message(*) will appear. :-|
You can ONLY use resolutions BELOW 640x480, IN PHOTO MODE. :-(

I use IA Camera Build 19307 and this DLL (colorConvScaling.dll, MP4_READER.dll, mp4spvd.dll, MP4Writer.dll, MPEG4SPVIDEOENC.dll), not standart DLL form MS Camera. To prevent program crash i use it in defrent folder not in Windows folder.... :wink:

consider, however, that the radio part will only work if you plug in the standard headset since the phone uses it as an antenna. you can still put it on loudspeaker, but it will not start when the headset isn't plugged in.

Later i noticed that bluetooth was not working properly..files was not recieving from other mobile..but i can able to send the anyfile..only incoming beams was not working..
Can anybody help me plz...

my problem is, that on my Sony Xperia P LT22i, idipendently of the way of syncing, contact pictures won't show up during run / accepted calls, only by the contact itself.
I already tried to assign pictures in Contacts, or by synchronising with Google, Picasa, or through PC Companion. I tried pictures with low and high res, with 72dpi and 180dpi, with/without EXIF data, edited by Gimp, Paint or Microsoft Picture Manager, or loading up originals taken by Canon Powershot or EOS, or even by Xperia itself. I tried again and again, deleting all contacts and synchronising again, without result.
OS is an Android 4.0.4, build 6.1.B.0.544.
I actually won't like to use 3rd party Android apps, i'd do it with the built in way.
I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance,

The best way would be actually the common way, by assigning pictures to contacts in Contacts, either choosen from Gallery (of pictures shot by Xperia itself), or from any folder/image copied to Xperia from my notebook. Right now none of the above and earlier mentioned methods is working.

meanwhile, last week, I upgraded to Jelly Bean (unbranded, 6.2.A.0.400), but the problem remained the same. I have to use a 3rd party app (without advertising) to get this option.
Has anybody an idea, what could be wrong?

Yes, you can send pictures from any accessible place but not screenshots. Screenshots are of png format and most apps (like whatsapp) dont recognize it.
First time when I wanted to share my homescreen with a friend, I couldnt. Later I realized it is not a phone issue but with app and supported extensions.
If you want to send a screenshot to someone, upload it to skydrive first. Once upload go back into whatsapp, then attach the photo from the skydrive folder

Thanks, but I really think that this is something that the operating system should fix. I just put a suggestion in the wp8 official suggestions app...

its not an extension issue, its a whatsapp/wp8 issue because for some odd reason it wont allow you to attach from the screenshot from that specific folder, it could be that microsoft doens't allow access for 3rd party apps to this specific folder or most likely a problem with whatsapp it self.

There is nothing to be fixed in the operating system with this matter...
Whatsapp has to implement png support...
Also png is a much better format for screen shots than jpg...
on jpg you will get fragmentation from the compression...
png is pixelperfect!
