Does anyone have a stock-standard JasJam with Telstra in Australia, which has never been upgraded with HardSPL or a cooked version of WM6?
Or if you have upgraded, can you recall what the stock standard settings should look like ?
When I enter into bootloader mode (if that's the correct terminology) by holding down the OK and Power buttons, and pressing the reset button at the bottom of the unit with the stylus, what should I see ??

IPL-1.00
and
HERM100
SPL-1.06
Is this the way it should look if it has never been upgraded with HardSPL or a cooked ROM ?

Why do you need to know this?
If it is for warranty, dont worry - I sent mine back with a cooked ROM and HardSPL and they fixed it no worries at all. They did however flash it with the latest Telstra firmware, which I promptly replaced when I got home.

I agree with MRVANX, I highly recomend not to brick the jasjam, I accidently bricked mine only response I got from it was the red pwr led, totally stuffed and a waste of A$1300
my Jasjam was
IPL : 1.01
SPL : 1.11
This was a stock jasjam from telstra as of Oct. 06. Not that anymore.

I have Qtek 9100 with IPL 1.01 and SPL 2.20.0001. When I switch on divice, it displeyed color screen and nothing more. I flash it whit many ROM's but IPL/SPL always is the same and did't work normal. How can I resolve the problem. Thanks!
Only with a JTAG device. It's a special device that can access the chips without the need for the phone to be working. But nobody knows which are the JTAG pins so no luck here.
The IPL 1.xx is meant for the G3 DOC chip Wizards and G4 all have IPL/SPL starting at 2.xx.xxxxx. Since IPL is the firt bootloader with information and addresses for SPL and since they don't match you'll never get out of that situation...

Try..
(1) put the phone in bootloader mode
(2) flash it with cingular 1.x radio (search for it)
you should get a normal device in the end

1) Flash only IPL/SPL from g4 (f.e. 2.26.0001) to get your SPL/IPL the same with italian RUU 2.5.2
2) Flash ROM without IPL/SPL italian RUU 2.5.2

does anyone know whether my device is equivelent to G3 or G4?? or its completely diff technology that cannot be compared!!!
I know O2 Atom is by Quanta and it uses CPLD (Complex programmble Logic Design!! I hope i remember this right).
this can't be compared at all, totally different technology. there is a whole separate section for the atom. just go to the forum root page and look for the atom.

I've done a fair bit of flashing lately (and just unlocked with POFs utility) and ended up with the above, trying to figure out if I have latest / safest versions.
Pro Black 2.0
Radio is at....1.16.00.00
Especially wondering if I should reflash radio after using POFs unlocker I think I may have downgraded the radio..all seems to work though.

Yes the radio is the hacked radio rom pof uses to unlock with.
If you are planning on using Black 2.0 please follow my guide as it will take you through updating hardspl and radios before the WM6 flash.
oh no, you got it wrong...it's black 2.0 NOW. Working well very happy.
It's just I did the unlocking with POFs after I installed black and I suspect I might have an older radio version now, am I safe to just bring my radio up? The phone is now unlocked for good i imagine, maybe I should just wait for the next black release.
Upgrade your HardSPL FIRST. Then Upgrade your radio

It might have been downgraded by the unlocker.......but follow the guides they will take you through everything.

This is the first time I'm trying to upgrade... I sync and tried upgrading to HardSPL v6 using the RUUWrapper.exe but the 3 options SPL-1.01 to SPL-1.11/1.13/1.30/1.35 are all greyed. I can only click on Force Using SSPL and Is it Hard-SPL.
I'm using X01HT.

Hey guys, I have a Cingular 8525, and I started to get the white screen of death. It would go white on me for no reason, wouldn't respond to the front buttons, and the screen was misaligned. So, I warrantied it (thank God I was within my 90 day warranty window!).
I had flashed it with a WM6 rom using olipro's hard SPL, and now I need to send it back. I wanted to flash it back to WM5 to avoid a $500 dollar charge, and I just wanted to make sure I did it correctly without voiding my warranty.
I flashed it down to SPL 1.10, and then I simply ran the WM5 rom that is downloadable from the HTC Cingular 8525 website. It looks to me like it worked successfully, it runs WM5, the bootloader now shows:
HERM100
IPL-1.03
HERM100
SPL-1.11
Is there anything else I need to do to ensure I don't get charged?

Looks good. I RMA'd one in this condition to Cingular - no issues.
my gfs hermes speaker is busted so im sending it back in for a warranty return. i talked to att and they said that upgrading with the official htc rom wont void the warranty and yada yada. the phone at this point is

I've never downgraded IPL or SPL but other than that I've gone back to original config with my UK Vodafone branded Hermes.
There is a section in Mrvanx's guide on SPL downgrading here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299462 but you may need to search a bit further for the IPL downgrade.

so at this point my goal is to follow mrvanx guide and downgrade the ipl and spl and then i was planning to reinstall the officially released wm6 upgrade in the hopes that it would put its own version of its ipl/spl on the phone. the problem im encountering is when i run the downgrader the phone asks me will i allow bl.exe to run and i click yes
it goes into the red/green/blue/white screen and says its

wtf is that? it wont let me go past this point, ie i get an error when it tries to verify information from the phone. i can restart the phone and it goes back to windows and olipro2.10 --- im not sure what direction to go? should i try to put an original wm5 rom on the phone then try to downgrade again or what?

i have hard spl 2.10.... im trying to get rid of it and return the phone to factory like conditions, well not really factory cus im going for the official wm6 but essentially i cant send my phone in for the warranty with olipro on it so im trying to ditch it, but the posted methods arent working for me

Are you following the MrVanx guide carefully? I have never had an issue following the steps carefully. The info you are getting is because it is using the force SSPL option, which it should. I would suggest you try again, following the directions very carefully. Good luck. It really should work.
when it gets to the screen where i see spl-1.09.ds the ruuwrapper provided from mrvanxs guide says "Verifying the information on your Hermes... Please wait..."
this is where i get an error 260 and its asking that i check the usb cable and what not which i know isnt the issue. im gonna try this on the other comp in my house which is xp. i have been trying this on a vista machine
so it worked on my windows xp rig. once i downgraded the spl, i reinstalled the official wm6 and it upgraded the ipl to 1.04 and the spl to 2.03 which im happy with and have already placed my order for the warranty exchange.

How do I update hardSPL to a new version? i currently have 1.16 and want to upgrade too 1.22
i tried using somthing called uspl but that didnt help it still says SPL 1.16 Hard on the bootloader

That's not really difficult : just flash th 1.22 the same way you flashed the old one !
Launch the SSPL on your phone : you'll have the tricolor screen.
Plug it using your USB cable, and launch the RUU with the harsSPL NBH.

I have been rying to change it but it still shows:

The "sspl-1.16-nike.exe" (the kemit icon, when on the phone) must be on the phone and executed from the phone itself (gives the tri-color screen). after that you can start the 1.22 exe from your PC and flash the spl as described.
Don't forget to backup first, remove storagecard and SIM before doing all this.
