Soft reset Niki - Touch Dual, MDA Touch Plus ROM Development

Apparently there is no soft reset button on Niki. Can a soft reset be done by press and hold the camera button and then press power on?
If not, does anyone know a trick to soft reset Niki?
I need to know because the upcoming Sim unlocker, which is based on Kaiser Sim unlocker, requires a soft reset.

the soft reset button is located near the mini usb connection you have to access it by taking the back cover off and press with the stylus at an 45 degree angle!

yes ... it works

You can also press and hold the power button, then select Yes when the warning message appears.

bootlaoder screen

Hi,
I want to upgrade the OS on my T-Mobile MDA-2. To do this I press the power button and hit the reset button while I keep the power button pressed. Instead of starting the bootloader screen the phone does a hard reset and reinitalizes the current image....
Any advice anyone?
Thanks,
Oliver

Are you going to upgrade OS using SD card? If so, you need to press the cursor key in any direction with Power button and reset button pressed too...
If using USB cradle, just put MDA2 to cradle and run upgrade...

Strange.
Very strange! After doing the procedures, the rose ask to do the reboot and stop in logo of HTC. I had never happened me in any pda.
Now what i do?
You have to wait about 4-5 minutes then Rose will reboot again and will install the additional software.
1. From the Home screen, press the Start button.
2. Press More
3. Select Accessories
4. Select Clear Storage
5. You will be prompted to enter a code, enter 1234
I had the same probleem, my HTC S740 freezes after reboot with the HTC logo screen. I tried the follwoing and it worked:
- press and hold vol down and the navigation key
- pres and release directly the power botton
- a messege will apear, press the navigation key.
- the device will reset to factory settings
- a messege appear asking to press vol up to restart
- device will restart and begin reinstalling the software, reboot after then.
May i ask what are the applications (that came installed with the phone) that are gone with the hard resetting ?
Thanks
HTC s740 backup before reset
hi...i would like to know if there is anything one can do to back the information up before resetting the Phone as i have crucial Data i cant affort to loose. PLS HELP!?
There are few backup softwares which can backup almost everything on your phone, and you can easily recover it after hard reset. I personally use Sprite Backup, which is probably the best one.

htc 8525 pasword

how can i erase pasword i forgot my password htc 8525 on starup..
WHY i cant hard reset using this method
Hard reset: Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom of your device. You will be presented with a menu saying 'press R to reset, X to exit', if you press R Your device will be set back to factory default settings.
(The L/R soft keys are the "- -" keys just above the start and OK buttons)
Hold all buttons in until the menu saying 'press R to reset, X to exit', if you press R Your device will be set back to factory default settings appears...
Cheers...

Bell 6800 Bricked!

I'm guessing my Titan from Bell mobility is Bricked. Freezes on the Bell logo when the phone turns on. Cannot turn off with the power button, have tried hard reset, tried taking battery off, have tried to get into the bootloader power+camera + reset, phone just keeps reseting and freezing on the Bell logo. I have searched for hours on this, but all I ever find is to go into the bootloader and that fixes other peoples problem. But, what if you can't get into it? Even Bell has no idea what is wrong with it. Any help would be appreciated

Hold down the power+camera while pressing reset and keep the power+camera until you see the tri colored screen.
Or left soft key + right soft key and press reset keep holding the soft key soft key until prompt to restore

Thanks, I've tried that many many times. But to no avail. I have done a hard reset many times, that works, but holding the power+camera+reset will not let me into the bootloader. When hooking it up to the computer, nothing happens. Have even tried the sd card with titanimg.nbh and still nothing. But the good news is, Bell is sending me a new one. But, it would still be nice for others if there is a solution to this problem. I have searched for days, but no answer. Once again, thanks for your time but, Power+Camera+Reset = nothing, frozed bell screen.
The file should be TITAIMG.nbh not titanimg.nbh

Hard resetting?

there is nothing in the wiki or anywhere that explains how to hard reset (unles i just missed it somewhere)
Not sure if they apply to the CDMA but here are the ones from the Wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Raphael_For_Beginners
I use a variation of those on my GSM RAPH, try #1 to see if it works for your CDMA RAPH:
1) Hard Reset
- Turn off
- Press & hold Action
- Press & hold Volume Down
- Turn on
- Wait for TriColor Bootloader and release buttons
- Follow onscreen instructions
2) Bootloader for Flashing new NBH
- Turn off
- Press & hold Volume Down
- Turn on
- Wait for TriColor Bootloader and release button
- Start ROM Flash utility on PC. If flashing a RAPHIMG.NBH on SDCard, flash begins automatically.
HTH,
For my sprint tp, I've found the easiest way is with the device turned off, I press the vol. down then the center of dpad while holding both then press the on/off button holding all three untill the onscreen instructions appear.
this thing will NOT hard reset, its about to go HARD against the wall LOL
I get a window that says
"warning"
power will be turned off,
and you may lose data if
you have not saved them.
Do you want to continue?
if i hit yes it just rebbots, and obviously if i hit no it does nothing
just cleared storage and will try after to hard reset.
NOPE still not working, im holding the vol down and the enter key then pressing the power button on top and holding all three down and i still get the same message.
even tried it with vol down/dpad/power and noada zip zilch zero

Do you happen to have a Verizon Touch Pro, if so the only way to Hard Reset is to do Clear Storage under Settings, System.
