ppc's are not designed like other pc's which we are using as our desktop or laptops....
The entire PCB of pda's are designed as a whole part and the other parts of a pda with the processor are necessary components so you cant change the processor....

Can open it
take a T6 tool. you can open your s200 with it. Like i did to put the new silver case and new touch screen on it. I'm a system builder its idd not like a comp.

If you can: unsolder BGA connections and then resolder them without damaging any components with a processor that is pin compatible and then adapt virtually every driver there is then maybe just.

You have to build your own eboot(bios) to adapt the new proz to the old Hardware. So i say don´t try or don´t think about it.
To repair this ppc with a new proz is no problem for pro´s but not for newbes.
i´m production forman in a little development companie and i know it is hard work and knowhow you need. and hardware (placer, vapourphase ore reflow,XAOI)

Himalaya overclocking

How can I overclock the processor frequency. Some people says, that their device is running on 530MHz or on other speed. Default is the frequency 400Mhz(that we know). Is it a special tool to do that? Thanks in advance.
Yes, try Pocket Hackmaster or XCPUScalar.
Use both tools at your own risk since overclocking may destroy your device.
Sascha
keep in mind that higher frequency == lower batt time

It doesn't help a hard-reset or a ROM upgrade via bootloader?
it's not designed to be overclocked, that said, I've overclocked mine when I need to, and it hasn't exploded/melted/refused to turn on so far...

No, not if your CPU or memory chip dies.

Yes understand of course. I have experiences with PC overclocking. That if is a high frequency for the processor, the computer freezes itself or doesn't start. It's working again at lower frequency. Nothing was damaged. But I've mentioned, that the CPU clock will turn back to 400MHz after HReset... Or not?

Yes, it will.
XCPUScalar for instance returns to default speeds when device is not resetted by the program itself, so even after soft-reset with other tools.
Sascha
One question.
Can I use XCPUScalar for "downclock" and get more battery?

Using OMAPClock.exe for Prophet?!

HI,
does anyone uses OMAPClock.exe for Overclocking?
What is the latest version and on which rate does the prophet runs fast but stable?
CHeers,
i don't know about last version but i had the 0.2 version, maybe it's old one, but maximum i could increase my processor for 264 mhz not more, but realy i don't know if it's useful or not, cause i didn't see differance. what about other users?
OMAP ON Prophet
I do but after you turn off the device or reboot the device you have to execute the app again the only solution is to put it in the startup file. I used it on my Jasjamin and i use it at 209 MHZ, you can put more but you might experience reboot or app failure.
for alternatif you can use batterystatus, more info on mainscreen and can overclock omap too, i try till 299mhz(sometimes), and works good, you can setting for auto overclock at wakeup
can download here http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_batterystatus_xda_neo_wm5_im_cs.htm#DownloadBeta

Be carefull
Remember ppl overclocking, reduces main processor life, if you use it you might diminish the life of your device, take care, you do this at your own risk.

1. yes, it will be a bit too harsh for the processor,
2. it does consume more power,
3. it will freezes on some apps,
4. over over-clocking (over 264Mhz) may brick the device,
5. for fun ....

OMAP.CAB
PLEASE TRY IT FOR FUN ONLY~~~~ ( tested with Speed King 2 Lite new version.)
INSTALL AND SOFT RESET.
THE DEVICE WILL RUN IN 264mHZ.....
UNINSTALL IF YOU WISH..
p.s.
please take care the power consumption.
Use on your own risk.

i keep my prophet overclocked at 286mhz with batterystatus for a year now.
i never had any unstability problems. these only occur only if using speed above 286mhz, ex:293.
At 286 works very nice, i'm so used with this speed that I'll never downclock my device
cheers
Good app and thanx for all info
Nice app....i had my mpv 600 sitting for a while now, and i have use it now with new rom and it's working fine at 264mhz

So the app will not be affcted from soft resets and the device will away run with 264 MHz? Could you please post a link to the cab?

1. below 264 is fine,
2. want to try higher? I had tested. Prophet bricks!!!!
3. use @ your own risk, default clock is 264
4. want to change the clock lower? run omap_OverClock from the startmenu/programs folder,
5. it will keep in 264 even after softreset,
6. it will keep in 264 even after power on,
7. use wakeapp to clean the notice service if neccessary (if popup occurs after uninstall),
8. or hard-reset to clean if you wish.

Thanks dioxda2!
I used Battery status for about 2 years but I also notice significant difference between battery status and Omap.exe - about 15 MHz - > The version of Omap that I have is showing less than battery status and I think the correct value was shown by battery status

Yes my friend When I try 312 mhz phone seem ok but when you try open something it is lock. I am trying this Qtek s200 G4. 299 mhz working very stable. Overclocking could be changeable at same systems. İt depends on cpu manufacturing time etc etc.

What app are you using to over clock with ?
I have some XP with Home Screen Plus Plus(used to be Bat.Status)the only Problem I had, was that you cannot turn it on at the same time with Manila 2D, because it works as a today plugin and Manila turns everything off. Does OMAPClock.exe work like this?

3.Put the program in the memory card and install it.
4.Have to give root permission for it to work.
5.When open it press "Overclock Load Module".
a.After "CPU frequency max" and we will come out a few options for overclocking.
b.Choose an option and press to "Confirm".
6.Press in "Scaling" and put the maximum and minimum to the maximum and press apply apply.
This is all.If someone has a problem do not hesitate to ask.
This is the maximum i could get with my wave:

the wave run more fast when is overclocked ...
Interesting, so Android on the Wave runs faster with this? The heat should also increase or am I wrong? While I was playing games with the PSX Emulator on Android, my Wave got really warm (Stock Clock 1 Ghz), so I guess with the overclocking is a little dangerous due to overheating etc.

[Q] Unlockable How 60 FPS in UI? Just modifying the kernel?

Hello I bought a Chinese cell, Mlais MX58 Air, but its UI is limited to 32 FPS, is there any way to unlock or limit to 60 FPS?
Could do this by modifying the kernel? You can modify a kernel or pick up another device and add my information?
I would try to use this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249808
Here comes the Android 4.2.1 ROM with full Project Butter experience with UI running @ 60+ FPS* making our W8 a real beast!

You would have to use a kernel made for that device. Another kernel from a different device will not work on yours But as China almost never releases the kernel source for their devices you maybe out of luck.

A while ago was released the source code of MTK6589, that serve?
Just wanted to add 60 FPS in the UI, nothing more.

That's is a chipset. Not the kernel. They are 2 completely different things.

To be honest yes. You are better off not getting a clone device or anything really with that chipset as it is mostly never supported after bought and has no after market support.
Understand... than you know any launcher that runs at 60 fps?
Because this is the only thing that bugs me.
Thanks for the replies man.
I dont think launchers change the fps but try out Apex Launcher for a smoother experience.

Question Could we modify our rom on Redmi 11s and Ryzen AM4+

Hi
For almost 2 years I switched my computer with a Ryzen 3600 processor (my mistake that I regret every days).
I remember at that time I couldn't do much for my Pocophone because unlike Intel. AMD will not provide right information to modify the rom.
I want to know if this has changed because I want to install a custom rom for my new Redmi11s (PC processor is still a Ryzen 3600)
Thank you
