So i have a problem with my new qtek 8500, i want to flash it to wm6.1, so i made normaly the cid unlock, the application unlocker. So to my problem, when i start into spl, then comes the screen with the 3 coloured lines, and then is my connection on the pc away, it is then not connected, and vista installed new drivers for the device, that dont works, so what can i do?

You should flash it from Win XP since flashing from Vista is not (yet?) supported.

i am having the same issue.. i had done CDi from vista via bluetooth.. after that no matter what i do the phone is not willing to get connected viz activesync.. i tryed in 2 differend systems.. same.. not working with bluetooth nor usb..i is charging but no connection... i have another cingular 3125 as backup as well that seems to be working fine..

I upgraded ROM on G4 Wizard CID-locked wizard from T-Mobile CZ 2.21 to Superrom 1.1. But after flash, wizard stuck in splashscreen with IPL/SPL.
I can go to bootloader, but when I tried to flash another ROM via RUU (T-Mobile CZ official, Superrom for CID-locked G4 or Novii Love), RUU said - Connection Error. Simply AS and RUU can't connect to PDA. PC identified Unknown device, when I plugged wizard to PC
I tried it on 2 PCs (1. AS4.2, 2. AS 4.5 beta2), nothing....
Any ideas ? Thanks very much
Are you doing it in the correct order? That sounds dumb i know...but i had a similar problem and found out it was because i wasnt doing it in the correct order.
You have to setup bootloader and then connect usb, if you do it the other way around you get some funny errors. Thats just what i found....it may not be of help to you.
Sorry if you know this already, just trying to help, im new too.

I know i wont be fixing your problem, but, you can be sure that after the comunication problem is solve, you can use the WizardLove rom.
I mess with my phone recently, and i got stuck at the bootloader, and that rom was the only one that worked.

Problem was found. When I tried to find driver for PPC automatically, PC found nothing, but when I manually chose driver from AS\Drivers, PC driver found
Now I can flash via RUU
i had the same problem was working till 5 am to solve it

I have a AT&T 8525. I installed 2.10 Olipro and then flashed with the latest AT&T WM6 upgrade from this site. It was labelled as the "official" upgrade.
The upgrade went well and everything seems ok (though it feels a bit more sluggish and I thought it would noticiabley increase speed of apps etc.)...anyway my Activesync is simply not working with this phone anymore. It doesn't recognize it when I plug in with the cable. This makes it hard for me to re-install a different ROM or any other app.
Bluetooth can see the phone, but, again, it doesn't seem to want to make an Activesync connection....please help...thanks in advance.
try deleting existing relationships. and create a new one. most likely because of your current upgrade, your DEVICE ID has been changed.
I actually have no relationships in Activesync right now.
I'm loading a fresh copy of Activesyn on my wife's computer to see if I can get a relationship established on a new install.
Any other ideas...I'm all ears!

The problem apears when I connect the device to the computer "USB Device Not Recognized".
Tested in another computer with same results...

I have a HERM200 (TyTN) unlocked and activesyn was working when the device OS was WM5. fter the upgrade, does not recognize anymore...
It's working now
After the OS upgrade, needs to turn off (for real) and turn on again. It works sweet.
Need to remember: MS Windows DEvices needs MS Solutions - Reboot !
I Have had this new pda one day yes today and ive managed to f**k it up already
it had windows mobile 5 on it and i wanted to upgrade it to wm6 so i could use flo touch and get the better graphics well i tried at updating and reflashing but all i got was errors and now when i turn it on i get the orange bootloader screen with the text:-
IPL 2.10.0001
SPL 2.10.0001
GSM 02.07.20
OS 10.2.0.8
but nothing else it is now not recognise by the pc and will not boot up even after a hard reset!
please someone help me get through this problem quick!?!

Download activesync 4.5 (search for it)

In activesync, disable connect through USB.
Run the RUU you downloaded above.
i have downloaded and installed active sync 4.5 as directed on a pc running windows xp and disabled connect through usb by right clicking it on the desktop in the taskbar and clicking connection settings then un-checking the usb connect box. then i connected my prophet and it installed it as a PocketPC USB Sync of something like that and it appears in my computer as a mobile device but when i click it it has nothing in it so i ran the RUU and it asked to update the ROM so i followed the steps but it asked me to make an active sync connection which i cant because the prophet wont turn on after the bootloader the pc recognised it when it was switched off. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!?!
Unplug the prophet.
Manually enter bootloader and reconnect the device.
then try reflashing the ROM.
Just continue with the RUU unless it gives an error.
i have just right clicked it under device manager and it is recognised as "Windows CE USB Devices" then expands to "PocketPC USB Sync" but how do i manually edit the bootloader if that it was i still have to do sorry im a newbie to this stuff as i said ive only had it one day

Start up the device normally. Then, press and hold the Comm manager button whilst reseting (stylus into the hole to the left of the power socket). Now, plug the device into the computer and run the RUU.

Do you know how i can put on the flo touch ? when i send across the cab file it installs but doesnt show anything i just clicked on about aswell on the device and it says its still windows mobile 5 ? is it really windows mobile 6 ? i just really want flo touch ?

That ROM is WM5. I would suggest updating to a WM6 ROM such as one of Cloudyfas ROMs. Search for it and read all the relavent threads.
To launch the cube, swipe your finger from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen.
the touch edition or clean edition mate ?
Touch edition will have Touch Flo.
use Prophet Tools to make it faster...
where can i get this prophet tools you speak of ? and what will i have to do i have successfully installed wm6 touch edition now the one you recommended but what about the prophet tools ?
there is a link in my signature to prophet Tools it should all be explained there. also read the new upgrade guide sticky in the WM6 forum. Prophet tools is to help upgrade, so no need for that now...
The touch flo cube should activate in the way i said above.
ok so i have downloaded the little extra on the page of the ShadoW Touch ROM and its called ShadoW Cube and i have installed it yet nothing happens its not even in the device menus. do i need to upgrade it like you said with this tool and how ?
The cube only starts when you slide your finger fRom the bottom of the screen to the top...
I'm a real noob at all this as I have only had my Dopod 838 Pro for about 2 months. I want to upgrade to WM6.1 but first I'm trying to install HardSPL just in case something goes wrong.
When I run RUUWrapper.exe everything goes OK until the programs starts trying to connect to my phone. It just times out and gives me an error 260 message. The phone is connected fine and it syncs perfectly. I'm running windows vista ultimate and have the latest WMDC installed.
Never mind. For some reason it has fixed itself and has now flashed fine. Sorry everyone. I look forward to hanging around here more often.
Try the Sd card method, NO sync problems or accidents waiting to happen... I don't use the pc to flash anymore, EVER...

I was with a rom and slowed, and began to slow in bootscreen.
I spent Wizardlove no use, no use WM5 original.
my wizard is not with the spl olip.
this spl and IPL 2.22.0001
bootloader and in turn makes sound that connects, most do not connect the hardspl nor softspl, only the ruu connects.
what do I do?

Which windows is running on your pc,if its Vista,there are still problems while flashing on Vista,WinXP is recommended.
Get the phone in Bootloaders and connect with pc,when small usb appears,run the RUU in the rom,only try to flash official stock rom,well you can also try to flash wizard_love rom.Hope it'll flash.Activesync doesn't work and connect in Bootloaders,so stop worrying if it doesn't connect,its not required during rom flash.hardSPL or SoftSPL also do not work in Bootloaders,it must have a working OS and connection through Activesync.Get the battery fully charged before flashing,many communication problems are due to weak battery,and take out,if any sdcard or Minisd card in the phone before flashing.

Download official stock rom of your carrier,get the phone in Bootloaders,Hook up the phone with pc via usb cable,check if small usb appear at the bottom of the Bootloaders ,if its there,then its establishing connection.Run the RUU in the rom,it'll start to flash,but if there's no usb present in the Bootloaders,then there's a connection problem.Either the usb cable is faulty or the mini usb port of the phone is broken.
