I did the HardSPL and then tried to upgrade to Crystal v5.1 but after going through the steps as I understand them to be, my 818pro just gets stuck at the Red-Green-Blue bars screen with the following 2 lines of text and it won't go anywhere else.
IPL 1.00
SPL 2.20
And then I read through and found someone posted a link to get IPL to 2.20 which I installed and now the Red-Green-Blue bars screen has the following 2 lines.
IPL 2.20
SPL 2.20
I don't know what I can do next. Does anyone have the utility to flash it back to Dopod 818pro original ROM so I may try to upgrade to Crystal v5.1 from scratch again? What solution is there there to get my phone functioning again.

You didn't install HardSPL the right way, otherwise it should say:
SPL 2.G3.4PDA
So, just start all over again! BTW you have to run JumpSPL first before you can install HardSPL. To make things easier HMA4 created a .bat file that takes care of all the steps at once. You will find detailed instruction in the HardSPL thread and the New Upgrade Guide.
What I did was run hma4's .bat file. I don't know what went wrong but now I can't just run that .bat file to install again because I'm stuck at the RGB screen and the .bat execution just says

Would you like to try copying again?
What can I do now? I cannot establish an Activesync connection which I think this JumpSPL thing needs...

you can download any "STEP1" connect your PDA with the bootloader screen and install it, it should be fine...if you still having issues, go ahead and download my ROM from the below link..its about 90 MB..you should have WinRar installed on your XP, download both files in one directory then right click one of them and select "Extract here" it is a shipped I mate Jamin G4 rom with Arabizer...it will replace the 3 splash screen, the Radio and reformate your PDA , BTW it does not check VID so no issue with any G4 (if you are using a G4 prophet this WILL SOLVE THE ISSUE ), when you are done...start from scratch with that BAT file.
* i assume you know how to flush roms

im lookin for original wm5 818pro rom but cant seem to find it.
the closest one is QTEK rom which can be found in XDA-wiki but the boot screen shows "QTEK" font in it,, but i want it to be "DOPOD"(somethin like the original boot screen)..anyone has link to this pls tell me..thanks

Get an error while trying to run the batch file. Same problem after manually copying files over to device manually and then running the following line copied from within the batch file.

im following this guide: "Nike SSPL, USPL and HardSPL And im having some problems.
I am told to do the following: "8. you can now flash the hardspl-1.15mfg-nike.nbh by running ROMUpdateUtility.exe from flash-uspl-niki"
But i cant get the flash program found in the flash-uspl-niki folder to accept the hardspl file as media. What i did is that i renamed the file to fit the uspl file wich is already included in the "flash-uspl-niki" folder.
But it just wont work!
Now my niki is stuck at SPL-1.16.Hard, and i need to get it to "SPL-1.15.Hard".
Anyone got any tips for downgrading? Or can you verify that its safe for me to continue?

I fixed and im now running Tom Codons rom.
But now i have a different problem.
My micrphone and speaker doesnt work. It did fresh after the flash, but now it suddenly stopped.
Bluetooth handsfree works though. Anyone?

Sorry but if I understand you well the sspl-1.16-nike.exe (jump-spl) works but after that when in bootloader the hardspl doesn't work?
So after running the sspl-1.16-nike.exe the tri-color screen says something like spl-1.16.jump or something with jump in it right?

Attached you find all you need to flash cooked ROMs on your Sedna.
This has been on my HDD for quite a long time. I nearly forgot I did this
The package includes:
sspl-1.02mfg-sedna.exe (copy it to your sedna and run it)
HardSPL-1.02-mfg-sedna.nbh (flash it after running the sspl)
CustomRUU.exe (use it to flash the HardSPL)
Once the HardSPL is installed on your device you can flash any ROM.

so ill post my experiences and what i find out along the way.. so people can do it too

procedure...
to install hard spl you must do it this way...or at least i did and it worked for me
1. download the attached files
2. REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !!
3. connect usb cable
4. copy sspl-xxxxxx.exe to your device and run it (usb cable must be connected!)
5. after a few seconds "USB" appears on the display
6. unplug and replug the usb cable
(OPTIONAL, better to skip it! step 7. Have a cigarette. If you dont smoke have a cup of tea)
8. you can now flash the hardspl-xxxxxx.nbh by running CustomRUU.exe. make sure hard spl and custom are in same folder
9. after installing the hardspl you can flash any rom
i did these exactly and it worked for me... when i go into bootloader it says SPL-1.02.HARD ... YIPeee!
to get to bootloader its in this forum somewhere..

im no expert but id say so...just keep the radio from a sedna rom.. it has the drivers i think... and port only a wm5 OS.nb

do you knowmuch bout this stuff...? do you know how to cook these ROMs .. which tools are you using..i have cooked roms before but with different phones and those tools are not fully working here..
and do you know if you can unlock the Extended ROM..?

no never have, all new to me, would be very greatfull if someone fancyied building one for me
as for installing hard SPL, thats later as the battery is flat at the moment.

but i like to know how other people got on with theirs .. where they suceeded and failed so i can avoid pitfalls and get my jobs done right...

HELLO, Please anyone help me, I have a HTC P6500, I want to flash it that means current version is windows mobile 6 professional. My product is Orange UK,,,,,I have tried All ROM version but I have failed I have used all types of manhoods. When I click ROM update after going 5% flashing a message is seeing that is your phone can't supported tis software I want to use (Duttys_2.5_5.23144.5.3.10_3.14_HD2_ML_Family_ROM_(V6)_ITA.zipx)..Please give me a ROM software link I mean Italian language or New version Link

sedna 100 hard spl
hi guys n gals,this is my first atempt to do this procedure on my sedna100,i followed instruction to unplug and replug back in,my screen is red-green-blue and whitewith usb in the white section its been like that for a wee while now and not syncing back up,can someone pls help...vrey much appreciated

Trying to flash hard spl onto p6500 so that I can flash the new ROM. CustomRUU keeps failing with Error 262. Restarting the process doesnt work.
My device is stuck on the 4 colour screen with serial/usb title.
Any help would be much appreciated as I have a lot of devices to do, so need to get the first one working first.
