Need help w/ QPST - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

QPST can't seem to recognize my XV6800. I have an Activesync connection, but the list of "active phones" in QPST is blank. I'm not exactly what to do from here. Any suggestions?

Have you added the correct port i had a similar issue where mine said it was on port 19 when actually it was on port 18.

I don't think so. How do I do that?

not sure what your trying to do but you can go http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36377 and it will tell you how to add your phone under "connecting our phone to qpst".

I found what I was looking for on another forum. Anyone else having problems using QPST like I've been having should check out this thread: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?p=11635218#post11635218

WMODEM using irda

Has anyone succeeded with this? I've downloaded IRCOMM2K and followed all the instructions I could find but after a couple of flashes from the XDA nothing happens, well, except syncing is stuffed!
Any advice super-brains?
Cheers
Bully
My one is working successfully.
If you can give more details I may help you.
irda modem
thanks, I have followed the instructions supplied by the Ircomm2k developer and on the 02 website relating to the use of the xda as modem but I have had no success, I set up the xda to recieve infra red, start wmodem, wait a couple of seconds then use my wireless connection settings from my laptop, the 'lights' in wmodem flash briefly and I get a message on my laptop that username and password are being registered then the irda link is dropped and I get an error message. I've spent ages looking for information on the net and no-one else seems to have had any success either, what's your secret?

ActiveSync not connecting on StarTrek

Dear All,
after plug my startrek to usb activesync starts and identified it and the local network connected but after seconds it disconnect from the activesync.
i'd search all the net for a solution but not finding any.
mabey the drivers?
anybody could give me the drivers for the activesync 4.5 on starttrek
thanks alot
Maddening, I just went through the same thing. Drill down into Microsoft's site, there's some additional info on reconfiguring your usb port, it was just a button, on/off kind of thing so if it's X try Y and vice versa. That solved it for me, sorry I can't be more specific but I didn't write anything down. I did get the initial link from the activesync trouble shooter however.
in my case my firewall (zone labs) was the cause.
thanks alot for replay
i've went through all the microsofts' but nothing, it still connect and disconnect.
thier is somthing else.

NOOB Question. Laptop wont recognize Raph

Have been trying to get up to speed but have hit a speedbump. Laptop(running windows vista with Mobile Device manager installed) will not recognize my Raph (Sprint Carrier). The weird thing is I plugged my friends in and it saw it immediately and partnered with it. I admit, I did alot of tinkering when I first got the thing but Ive since gone back in to undo or reset everyhting back to mimic what my frineds phones settings were. STUCK! Any help would be greatly appreciated. In the end I am trying to connect to transfer the PHM Regedit proggy to the phone so I can get the battery to last more than a HALF HOUR! LOL Great device, Crummy battery life!
back when I had a Mogul, I had the same problem. I went through a lot of headaches trying to add rules to my firewall software, since I found out those can cause a lot of problems with activesync (just do a google search for "YOUR-FIREWALL-SOFTWARE activesync" and I'm sure you'll find something)
In the end, I realized the thing just won't sync without the little connector that comes with it. That may have just been an isolated case, but make sure you're using the piece.
If you're still in the grace period, make sure you get a different phone, because there may just be something wrong with your mini usb port (something that ultimately caused the complete demise of my trusted mogul).
Also, isn't PHM regedit available as a .cab?
Good luck.
Thanks
Hey thanks for the reply.
Will try what you said and get back to report the results. I did notice this little piece in the box that came with the device but no documentation about what it is supposed to do.
About the .cab question...... I don't pretend to know what that file extension means. I have not come across a defintion yet. I downloaded PHM, and the "setup file" is on my laptops desktop. NOTE. I did sucessfully transfer this setup file to my friends phone but could not get the app to run. Kept getting an error about putting it in a file or something. (dont remember exactly) Any ideas?
Thanks again.
Success
the unamed connector did it! recognized right away. NOTE: strange that my friends device did not require this to be connected to view his device. ???? Oh well onto the regedit and see if I can extend this dismal battery life.
Thanks again.
uncheck the Enable advanced network functionality in the Setting > USB to PC. For some reason this makes the Vista PC recognize the phone, had to do some thing with my Mogul

[Q] SPV m5000 pairing BT GPS device problem

Hi guys
could any one please be so kind as to help me with a problem im having.
i have a spv m5000 on orange which i have change the mother board over with a o2 exec mother board running windows mobile 6.1 seems to be working fine no issues however i have tried to pair both my gps units with it but to no avail, i have a Holox BT-541 and a navicore BT-GPS-32354D i have tried both of them and have same problem,
my xda see's them and adds them fine but when i try to connect to one in the xda it says unable to connect or wrong passkey i have used 0000 for holox which thats what it says in the holox pdf but have also tried 1234 but i think this is a com port problem i have tried all com ports some will go in ok but still cant connect to gps i also tried this "go into TomTom and use the NMEA devices with baud rate of 38400" this did not work, before i changed mother board i had these working fine on older tomtom and original spv m5000 mother board so i dont know if this is a win mobile 6.1 problem or not i see quite a few people with same problem but no solution that worked for me any way.
i have seen thred taking about pairing before tomtom installation but not sure that will fix my issue as i think i tried to pair before i installed any way.
has any one any ideas on this any help would be really appreciated this is getting to be a pain in the rear!.
also there is an icon in the system tab "external gps" can any one tell me the correct settings in there ie for program tab and hardware tab what com port and baud rate should be and whether the manage gps auto should be ticked
many Thanks in avance for any help you can give here.
Kind regards
Daz
Ok found solution,
after spending way too much time on this crap! I finally found the issue as I stated I thought
it was a mobile 6.1 issue and I was right, in mobile 6.1 they have added a external GPS shortcut
in system tab it is here the problem exists.
my problem was resolved by the following procedure.
On your XDA go to Start/Settings/Connections click on Bluetooth short then add new device once it has found it
enter passkey 0000 or whatever yours is once it has made the first connection then do the following,
1. Under "device tab" click on your unit and make sure the serial port is "UNCHECKED" disabled then click save.
2. Under "Mode tab" make sure (Turn on blue tooth) and (Make this device visible to other devices) are "CHECKED" enable them.
3. Under "COM ports" select a port, I chose 0 don't think it matters but if so chose another but remember what one you choose.
4. Under "Security tab" Authentication (passkey) required "CHECK" enable it click ok to come out of Bluetooth.
5. Under "System tab" click on "External GPS short cut.
6 Under "Programs tab" select (None) for GPS program port.
7. Under "Hardware tab" select port 0 or same as you gave your Bluetooth com port and issue the "Baud rate" 115200 or lower rate.
8. Under "Access tab" Manage GPS automatically (recommended) "CHECK" enable
9. Finally check your xda is blinking a blue light and turn on your tom-tom software it should now pick it up, all done.
Final note it seems that Microsoft have made one more buggy operating system, no change there then LOL
and as a result you can't seem to use the blue tooth pairing process as intended so this is a working work around
one more thing there is a 2nd bug found and that is when you turn off your GPS unit and try to use your xda you might
find that your last page froze up here you will have to mess around with it i.e. try turning off your tom-tom software first
and then your GPS, Thanks to bill gates for yet another windows operating system that doesn't work as advertised.
Well we had Hendrix king of rock, Marley king of reggae, Elvis king of rock'n'role then there's you bill gates king of crap!
Long live the king!!!!! LOVL
A big thank you goes' out markanthonypr on xda-developers for pointing this out, nice one m8

hope this comes in handy for others "knowledge is the real king give it freely"

ADB "Sync" Software

Hi,
I always seem to have issues connecting my HTC Desire (running a custom ROM) to USB. I once had some software on my PC, but can't remember the name, and it sits in the notifcation area, and when you connect your phone, it launches up and installs itself and creates a link for you. I think the icon for the software looked like an 8-bit image of a pda connect with a line.
I know the description is abit vague, but can anyone help me? I have tried looking myself, but cant find it.
