My dear ol' Qtek is Stuck in bootloader screen (tri-color) after a flash gone bad.
From what I can gather in the forums (and wiki) I need the vendor ROM to put it back on it's feet again.
Today the Boot reads.
IPL 2.10
SPL 2020.0001
I have tried the NVID ROM, it runs (with the progressbad going red a few times on the phone) once it's done the phone resumes the taunting boot-screen with the same information as above.
I have tried the G4 SPL update and the updated passes with no errors, and the Qtek boots in an ALL GREEN screen with the same IPL.SPL as above.
I know the original OS was Swedish, but I cannot find one anywhere.
What are the alternatives from here?? Thankful for any help I can get.

hello I´ve recover my m3100 from a dead brick (after used of universal sim lock) to full working phone
Her is my way
1. I´ve first try flashing a windows mobil 5 rom from my qtek 2020 on the m3100 for 2-3 times
2. then I´ve flas it with the new rom from Cingular ther are using bootloader 1,06..... and IT COME BACK ALIVE....
and if you have a HTC HERMES Then you just find a rom with you phons cid her

BUT REMEMBER IF YOU HAVE A ORANGE M3100 YOU CAN´T FLASH OTHER ROMS

- Did the Himalaya flashing process did anything on the hermes?
- Where did the Himalaya flashing process stopped?
- What did you see on the Hermes screen?
- What error did you see on the Himalaya upgrade utility?
- Which rom did you exactly use? (post the ftp link of it please)
2) About your M3100
- Which CID does your hermes have? If it's a M3100 from UK, i guess it is ORANG001, right?
- Which ROM, radio rom and bootloader version did you have on your device when you fixed the problem?
If there's anything else I am missing and you think can be useful, please post it too...

I do not know what the flash didt to my hermes but it seems on usb monitor like it slowly after trying to flash the old 2020 rom 2-3 times went further and further in to the program. the screen turn silver and read USB like on the 2020. Every time it just stop (frozz).
Then I just try the new cirguler rom.
yes my m3100 is a orange001 cid -bootloader 1,04
I don´t know what the original rom was I think it was on off the first orange releast I got it 20/7-2006

P.S. now my problem is that I can´t unlock the phone because imei-unlock do not suport bootload 1,06

It's ok, it was original rom from M3100... no problem, no need to upload anything.
If you have dead Hermes try to flash with Hermes_1.18.416.1_1.18.416.101_1.14.00.10_WWE_Ship.exe For me - it`s work.Regards

I have A SPV M3100 anyoane write same ... for unlock and new freez in "Windows mobile"
when i put in 3 color and i see:

Herm100
SPL-1.04"
And when is in 3 color and connect to PC ActivSync get error cannot recognize this device

I took Qtek S200 used one, and the old host said he had problem with upgrade. I can't upgrade myself, and give it to master, master can't solve the problem, but when I came back and put it to upgrade with "220734 WWE ship" version it did well and I had working device for week, then it freesed once more, since I can do nothing. initially it has IPL 2.09.001 and SPL 2.20.0001, I did the program posted here - IPL upgrade and now I have IPL and SPL 2.20.0001. Phone enters bootloader normally, upgrade only with "220734", others doesn't go. When I switch it in normal mode it freeses as white screen on "Windoes mobile" screen, sometimes it goes further but final picture one - freesing.
Wait for Your advices.
P.S. In my city no official cervice...
Try a different ROM...
Put the device in bootloader,disable connect through USB in active sync, and run the RUU from a different ROM...
hi there, i have received a tytn from germany, it had wm5 in germany,i did sim and cid unlocker and flashed it with hardspl7 to put shaps portuguese rom.
the thing is, every time i put a wm6 rom the tytn freezes at htc splash screen.
to unbrick it, i have to put an wm5 rom with 1.04 spl and it freezes again at splash screen, this time saying "No GSM", have to flash a radio rom and it backs to normal.
i dont know what i can do to tytn loads a wm6 rom...
It is impossible to flash wm6 in this tytn??

i'd say... it's definately wrecked... i got a german-tytn myself and it's working fine under wm6

no, its a htc tytn - hermes 200... its working 100% with wm5.
but with wm6 it doesnt pass the splash screen...
its not the first time i upgrade a tytn, but this is happening for the first time, its really strange.... i dont what i can do more..... any help?

Hey, i recently purchased a HTC Prophet (branded SPV M600 from orange) from a friend.
Since then i managed to get a WM6.1 rom on (shadow 2 i think)
Anyway, back when i did this, i found it very hard.
My prophet is not hardspl'd and i've having trouble changing the rom.
In my effort to change it, i 'bricked' it, however recovered it using one of those WM5 roms.
So my details:
IPL 2.20.0001
SPL 2.10.0001
GSM 02.07.20
Currently i'm running a WM5 rom, however i have managed a WM6.1 rom before, but cannot seem to do it again, whenever i get it installed it just boots to the bootloader.
When trying to HardSPL it just gives generic cannot connect errors.
I've used Prophet Tools aswell as manual guides but to no avail.
Am i doing something wrong?
And btw i'm using WinXP

Hey, turns out i wasn't following instructions properly - probably due to my tiredness!
I wasn't pressing the camera button on white screen... DOH!
Problem now solved and running 'Vista Clean'

hi I am a new consumer and I have an orange spv m3100.. you excuse my English but I am Italian..
my problem is that this telephone always shows no gsm and there is no way to resolve it. if I try to put a radio it jams to the 0% I don't have guarantee the only possible thing it is flashiarlo it is the part of the operating system...

Try to flash the Shipped rom - the rom it originally came with. You can also try just the radio rom (I'd try after the shipped rom though). If these 2 things don't work then it is because the radio rom area of memory has been corrupted... Long story short, flash an os only rom on and you have a PDA you can use but you wont EVER be able to use as a phone again.... Sorry...
Make sure you have Hard SPL installed first as flashing the radio rom is the riskiest thing to do, & if you want any chance of recovery, you should have this installed...
