***FIXXED***Flashed CDMA with GSM HELP!! - Touch Pro CDMA

I flashed my Touch Pro with EnergyROM 2.0 GSM on accident, not reading it was a GSM only link.... it was just turning off and on over again so i flashed with Kitchen which is pretty awesome.
Problem:When i shut the phone off and turn it back on, i get a EnergyROM start up screen with red numbers and letters at the bottom.
Anyone know of any solutions on how I can remove that stupid start up since i'm not even using that EnergyROM???
I've done a hard reset and flashed with other ROMS but it's still there.....
HELLLLP?!?!?!

you probably need to flash back to the stock ROM (if available). that will take care of the bootscreen

if you need to get to the boot loader, you hit the center button, volume down, and hit the power.
if you flashed your phone with a CDMA rom afterwards, i'd suguest you re flash with the stock TP rom like stated otherwise. i think enegry rom is a good rom though you could change the boot screens in advanced config if your rom has it.

Did this yesterday. Dont panic as long as you have unlocked your phone you're safe.
Just go into bootloader mode as the others have said by holding the power button and the volume down button and then pushing in the soft reset button
Then flash.
You dont even have to flash to the stock rom first (although it would probably be best practice you can provision your phone again if need be)
just flash a CDMA rom and you'll be back in business

thanks guys...
it helped...
anyone know of good CDMA rom's for my touch pro... it seems to be limited... right now i'm using kitchen... but there are things i still want to be able to customize a bit more....

Why not use the CDMA Energy Rom from PPC Geeks (the CDMA oriented site for PPCs), I'm running it and it's pretty smooth.

So many WM6.5 ROMS to choose from

With fear of being flamed badly, I'd rather ask first then brick my phone, lol.
I've flashed a wm phone before, an HTC Dash. I likes the fact that once I flashed it, I didn't need ANY other cab files to make it work. I'm looking for something like that, a ROM that all I need to do is run HardSPL and flash the ROM, and I'm good to go.
What I want
I use my phone as my mp3 player
I'm on Edge, would like a fairly quick browser for that
Has windows live messenger
Has facebook
Other then that I'll mainly be using it for texting and email.
I'm using it on Rogers, and I think from what I've read I'll have to install Lurch's cab no matter what. Which is fine, I'm sure I can handel that.
Pretty much looking for stability, little lag, and ease of flashing. Not too concerned about battery life, all I'll have on is bluetooth, no 3g or wifi, and it will be charged on a nightly basis.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
edit I have been looking at Mystic, Energy, and shep's roms. Just dont know which is right for me

ya thats the one ive been looking at. How has it been for you? And did you also install the radio he recomended? Did you have to install any other files?
I am using Sheps ROM and so far I have foud it to be the best.
I am in the same boat as you, where I need fast and stable versions of 6.5 and Shep's ROM is exactly that. As an added bonus the battery life is also amazing, much better than I have come across before.
So I recommend Shep's Latest ROM.

I do use the 1.12 radio. I found that it has the best signal quality for my location, and the best battery life. I have several programs that I always install, but that's just a preference of mine. If all you are looking for is the things that you mentioned, it should work out of the box for you. If you want to use a different radio, you just need to make sure that you update the rilphone.dll to the one that matches the radio that you flash. I believe that the cab for most or all of them is available in the radio thread.
NRG said He is Cooking up an Energy ROM 3.0 with windMo 6.5 I would give that a try when he gets it out, so far, his Energy ROMs have taken the forum by storm with a cult like following, and have been Amazingly Fast, and Stable. Im Sure his 3.0 edition will keep with the same stability and we got a hint from him that its already amazingly fast.!
I cant vouch for any 6.5 Rom because I haven't used any so far.
I can say that the latest Energy Rom is very good. It'll do what you mentioned perfectly. The new TF3D2 is very nice, the Facebook tab is not included for stability reason but you can always get it later.
I usually only install one cab to fix the text message TimeStamp issues thats I had with all roms I had on my TouchPro.
I am on Fido network, so only Edge because I don't have a Fuze.
I am using 1.12.25.29 radio and it works very well on rogers network. Heard the newest one wasn't working perfectly...
Anyway, if you decide to go with Mystic's ROM let me know how it works for you.
I am a big fan of Energy Rom, series 3.0 should start next week with WM6.5 so keep and eye on that too!
Good luck
Oh and if Opera isn't what you are looking for, give Skyfire a shot(get.skyfire.com from your cell phone)
It has some strength compare to Opera I use both...
I think I'm going to try mystic tonight. And I'll try out Energy when 3.0 hits.
Just 1 question to those who have already flashed their phones.
In mskip's tutorial, step 4 under using HardSPL has me a little confused. It says to follow the steps in the RUU. Well I serched that thread to see if someone else had a question about this. Someone did, and mskip said the RUU file is usually in the ROM file. So I downloaded the Mystic ROM, and I have a file RaphaelWrapper.exe (which mskip said was the same as the RUU file). I double clikced it but can't open the file on my computer. I don't want to start flashing my phone until all the steps make sense, so if any of you could help, I'd really appreciate it

You can turn off 3G in every ROM. If there's no appropriate option in Comm Manager, you have to choose Settings->Personal->Phone->Band and in 'Select your network type' select 'GSM' instead of 'Auto'.

Make sure that you are connected through ActiveSync, and double click on "RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe", and follow the steps in the dialog boxes that come up (that's what RUU is referring to). The screen will go black on your phone, and in about a minute, your phone will reboot. This is the most crucial part of flashing.
oooo, ok. my phone isnt connected, here i was looking for an RUU file. I do have RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe.
So I just sync my phone with activesync, and just double click on the files? Do I have to put them into the phones memory first?

Just Double click on the "RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe" file on your PC. It will not run from the device.
and step 4, the RUU thing will be self explanitory once I run RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe ?

Make sure that you have your phone connected to your computer, and connected through ActiveSync. When you double click on the exe file you will get a dialog box that looks like the attached image. Notice that it says "ROM Update Utility" at the top. Just check the box in the middle of each dialog box that comes up, and click "Next".
Let's move this discussion to PM's so that we do not get this thread locked.
I must say shep's ROM is rock solid. It has great battery life and is relatively (for windows 6.5 that is) bug free. It works well and there is no crippling bugs.
I value stability over niftyness but windows 6.5 is just too much niftyess to pass up.
I got Mystic 6.5 up and running. I'll check out energy 3.0 when that comes out. Getting a successful flash was the first step, lol. Now its just fun from here on out. I love winmo
Da_G's clean ROM is the best way to go if you want a very clean slick ROM without the bloat of crappy TF3D.
IMO Manila adds too much bloat and the new WM6.5 interface is just dead sexy. Here's hoping all of the veteran chefs at least include a lite version for people who don't want or need the extra stuff and like a faster ROM.

Sense UI (Manila 2.5) cab?

Hey, sorry if this has been answered, but I have been poking around XDA and PPCGeeks and havent found an answer...
Is there a .cab file for Sense UI (Manila 2.5)?? or are there only roms with it cooked in?
Id like to keep the rom im running (stable, fast, and most importantly customized to my liking)
Thanks!
No. There is not and likely never will be a cab (or cabs) for sense. There's just too much stuff for a cab. It really needs to be cooked in.
there is a cab for manila 2.1 (which is almost just as good if you. can live without home screen weather, screenshots of your favorite sites/apps,colored tabs and a twitter tab).ive resorted to hunting it down and installing it on my htc 2.01 rom after numerous custom roms on here with this manila and the sense kept crashing on me, this is actually the only thing i have wanted out of those roms anyway.
Can you post a link to a version that works on the TP? Can't seem to find it.
edit
the manila 2.1 cab
sure click here follow the instructions word from word u do not want to make a single mistake at the expense of a hard reset.
thanks guys, i went ahead and flashed another rom, sorry i couldnt reply earlier, but i was having probs getting onto xda

sense cab ...
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=108707
I installed this and here is what has happend thus far.
Installed without any errors... so far so good
Rebooted first time and it came up with an error with services.exe. Hit ok and it loaded sense... so far so good again... until it froze solid after about 30 seconds of it being loaded.
Reset it with the reset button as it was totally locked up, came up with same services.exe error and froze up right around the same time. Reset it again.
This time it came up without the services.exe error... seemed to work a bit longer until it froze up solid again.
Did a few more resets with no change. Decided to deactivate it from the today items.
Deactivated it before it was able to freeze. Restarted again and now it's not freezing.
Tried to re-enable TF3D and nothing. It unchecks itself after I hit OK.
Reset again and tried again. Same thing.
Now trying to uninstall it. Taking forever and not sure if it will totally remove it or not.
Maybe I am having trouble because I am using the Stock ATT 6.5 rom. I am really trying to avoid putting on a Custom rom as I have always had problems with them on my old phones (Wizard, TytnII).
Anyone else try it yet and had success?
Sad thing is, it works pretty smoothly until it just stops and locks up.
BTW, using the ATT Tilt 2.... my sig is pretty old.
guess I am the only one to try this cab on a TP2?

Home button & Lockscreen

Over the last 24 hours i've noticed my mini pro doing something wierd.
The home button seems to not work/phone not responding to it. but also the lockscreen no longer pops up when i turn the screen on. I've looked in both the settings and cyanogen mod setttings.
I know i could probably fix it with a factory reset but i really don't want to have to do that. because i have apps/setup exactly how i like it.
Has anyone else experienced this and know of an easy fix?
Thanks in advance,
Ryan
y'know what. I'm just gonna factory reset and set everything back up. driving me a bit nuts not being able to use the home key...
Your patience busted out in 6 hours. im sorry for what you experienced....
mine also has some glitches and it rarely happens. i wonder if it is the CM7 rom you are using. you can confirm if it is ok with the stock rom.
OR
you can flash your kernel to a custom kernel and use and see. screen touch was waaaaaaay much better on custom kernel. i loved it. see if that works....
OR
try another rom for a change and see if it is rom problem......
Good luck!

I think the rom was fine. I don't know what caused it, but it's fine now.
I reflashed the Cyanocream Sandwich rom following the intructions on the dev page. And everything is working again.
Thanks anyway

Mean rom or viper rom!!!??? which one??!!

what is the difference between these two ics roms, which do you prefer, and if the evo 4g lte hasnt a removable battery, then people like us will def be bricking and going broke because, a battery pull is the only way to stop a freeze? please comment,
I'm bias of the first question, but to your second question, the hardware reset currently employed on the evo 3d (power + both volume up and volume down) will power down the evo 4g lte, much similar results of a battery pull, or pushing and holding the power button on a computer
that usually works, however, i just froze on viper rom and that didnt work, i HAD to remove battery or else bricked
im just saying, no removable battery is def going to be not good for rooters, because if you forget to check usb debugging and power plus volume buttons doesnt work... then what?.
oh didnt realize it was you, thank you so much for viper rom, it runs so great... im on h boot 1.5 s-on so i needed chads altered kernel to work, when it booted it was choppy, but after a few reboots and battery pulls its perfect... thank you so much so much appreciated, you guys are the best... you and mean rom ar ejust the best ever

You should ask around the Droid Razor forum's and see what they do but I'm sure the power volume reset should work. And USB debugging is automaticly checked in roms I believe.

This specific issue had some of us
worried in the evo 4G Lte thread. When the one first became available, Srg slaughter posted in their forum yo have people test the button combo to see if it just rebooted, or powered off the phone. I believe the results were that it reset, but you could get into recovery via toss method, which I could never achieve on the 3d. I've also heard people say that the button combo flat out powers down the phone...either way, it seems that this won't be an issue.

Thanks for your support man. And far as which ROM to choose. It's all personal preference, flash and try them both out for a few days and see which one fits the way you use your phone better.
I vote for Mean. Mikeyxda is almost too quick to get stuff fixed in the ROM. I have a hard time keeping up with his releases
I like both along with Clean, especially the Developer Edition (Senseless), but for the moment I prefer Mean with LeeDroid.
Both ROMs and developers are great. I'd choose one that has the options you like most.

You'll find the latest .9 radio in this thread (found in the Thunderbolt Android Development topic):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048128&page=20
And radios are flashed via the bootloader (when you reboot in recovery you will see an option called "Bootloader". Select that one. It will take you into a pretty crude-looking program that requires the use of the volume up and down toggle to go up and down in the menu and the Power button as the "enter" key. Download the desired radio(s) and save them to the root directory of your phone's SD card. Rename the file pg05img.zip. Note, it has to be exactly that file name, as the Bootloader looks for that file to flash. Choose Bootloader, then hit the Power button. The screen will ask you whether you want to update your radio? Hit the Power button to choose "yes". The screen will tell you to not do anything while its updating your radio. It will take a few minutes, and then when its complete it will prompt you to reboot the phone (by hitting the Power button).
Once the phone has rebooted and you have given it a few minutes to settle in, it is important to either delete the new pg05img.zip file, or at least rename it or move it off the SD root directory (else when you go back into the bootloader you will create a bootloop or other problems.
btw, hopefully you have already changed over to a free app called 4EXT (found on the Play Store) which you should be using for making backups (Nandroids) as well as flashing ROMs and kernels (not radios, as described above). Very user-friendly way of managing your phone flashing (touch screen, very good UI).
If for what ever reason you have any problems flashing the radio, you can always use a micro SD card reader to move, delete, rename, and/or copy new radios onto the SD card root directory. Any place that sells computers will have one for less than $10. Just in case...
Hope this helps and good luck.
Sorry to butt in but I have a question. When I put a new pmg file on the root and boot into revolutionary. It automatically finds the pmg and tells me to press vol up to start the install, or down to not do it. First time I ever tried this I was installing radios for santods nusense. His provided instructions were lacking so I found a sticky here on xda that said how to do it along with a bunch of other things. Those instructions are more like yours, I was very surprised and nervous when the process didn't work as it said and it autodetected that file. So question is...what am I missing?
Edit: sorry let me be more specific. I hold the volume down button when i turn the phone on, up pops he revo screen, up pops a prompt to press vol up to install the new radio. I never have to "choose bootloader", it asks about the radios as soon as revolutionary is on the screen.

I believe everything you have described is normal. There are two ways to boot into the Recovery bootloader... one is by choosing it from the Reboot menu in the ROM, the other is by holding down the Volume Down button then hitting Power (this way allows you to go right into the Bootloader when you are not able to get into your ROM). Then when you choose Bootloader from the list (it may be selection already highlighted) and pressing Power to select (as directed on the screen) it should automatically see your new radio on the SD card root directory. It will prompt you to confirm you want to update the radio (I think by hitting Volume Up to begin the install).
Hope this helps.

No prob, my pleasure. Folks on this and other bulletin boards have always been very helpful to me, so I am hopeful that I can pay forward the favors. Glad everything is working well with the new radio and enjoy Thundershed.
I'm really leaning to T-shed but what are the biggest differences between Aosp and Sense?
