I am trying to flash my phone to the latest T-Mobile WWE ROM so I can sell the phone. I am running Olipro 2.10 but when I try and run the T-Mobile file the following happens:
"Verifying the information on your PDA phone... Please Wait"
Phone shows the red green blue and white colour bars with:-
HERM300
IPL-1.04
HERM300
SPL-2.10.Olipro
PC eventually errors saying "ERROR [260] : UPDATE ERROR". It says it can't connect to your PDA phone.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Ok heres what I need help with
I have Black Satin (WM6)
I decided to update the Radio
I ran it and it stuck at 0%
then I ran the SIM and CID unlocker by pof (funny thing is that it downgraded the bootloader from 2.10.oli even though it stuck at 0% aswell)
Now I have:
IPL-1.01
SPL-1.40.Olipro
SuperCID and SIM unlocked
"No GSM" displayed on boot
My IMEI is blank in Device Information
How do I get my radio back,

Then I will try to flash the radio again.

Do i need to do that erase thing that fixes the "No GSM" from the Wiki everytime I want to update the radio? If I had done that the first time I wanted to upgrade the radio, it would of worked?

I think the RomUpgradeUt.exe that exists in the wm5 ROMs is not compatible with SPL 2.03.
try this:
Extract the .nbh file from your desired wm5 rom (Rename your ROM from *.exe to *.zip and extract it using winzip).
Flash it to your device using RUUwrapper.exe (Force using SSPL).

now i've made the update.
It shows no error or something other.
The MDA looks like a WM5 device - But it will stop booting when it shows the first WM5-Picture.
Ok...now it will stop when it shows the "T-Mobile" Splash Screen..
Well....one Softreset later .... i have a white Screen

Is there any posibility to Update the MDA while staying in the Bootloader (works without problems).

I insert the SD-Card, load the Bootloader, after this, the Display show's:
"Loading...."
After this:
"Checking..."
And for a Short time
"00028002
Not Allowed"
Then I'm in the RGB-Colored Bootloader......
Any Idea? I've tried the WM6-File from the T-Mobile Page, the WM5-File....
No of them will work.

Do u have wm6 on your device now?
Can ur device boot into os or not?

But it won't help me.
The Autor wrote this:

My Problem: Windows Mobile 5 or 6 doesn't Boot - So i can't use the RUUWrapper....
To enter the "special" BootLoader I need an working WM5 or WM6....
Do you know, what I mean? My english isn't the best.. sorry :-/

2.SPL version?
3.Can boot into OS?
3.KITL enabled or not? (hold Power+comm manager+left ok buttons and reset with stylus, keep touching them until you see the KITL dialogue - if enabled-)?
4.NO GSM error?(when restarting ur device look out to bottom of the screen, do you see NO GSM)

Until now there is no known sulotion to fix that, unless you want to send ur device to service center!

I have one more MDA Vario II with WM6, SPL2.03 and IPL 1.01
=> WORKING....
But i think i'll unlock this one by the "T-Mobile-Sim-Unlock-Code".
I won't risk the second mda ;-)

Why Flashing...?
Go to any vodafone store..make your device back to WM6..
say to the guy @ vodafone store that your going on a holiday.. they will give you a key that unlocks the device..
and your done ! ! ! Works for a friend of mine

I don't think, that a vodafone store will give me a unlock-code for a t-mobile device.... :O
And the next Problem is, that de MDA doesn't boot the OS and have the "no gsm" error....

Here's my problem. (German T-Mobile MDA Vario II with Schaps 3.57 update)
I would now like to use the official T-Mobile WM6 version that has been released a few weeks ago, but I can't downgrade to any other version or even upgrade to Schaps 4.31 version.
I have read and tried everything stated here.
While trying to flash to hardspl v7, I always get the ERROR 260.
The MDA always shuts down, red-green-blue-white display, then a hole white display with LOADING (for a few seconds) and then again red-green-blue-white display, but then it always displays a different IPL and Spl version and just stands still.
Heres the point where I press the Soft-Reset-Button and it just starts up normal. If I go back and check the IPL and SPL it always shows the version from the beginning (IPL-1.01 and SPL 2.03).
Does anybody know the problem I have here?
Downgrading to any other version doesn't work either.
i can't help you but i've been having the same error. read the forums, followed the instructions, but still can't fix it.

Suggest you swap USB ports, and also follow the guide HERE to the letter.
hey mrvanx, i followed your guide word for word and i still get error 260. i also followed your guide for vista. I just got my phone a few days ago and the only thing i did do it was upgrade to WM6 and Sim/cid unlock. can you help me out?

So you omitted telling us you run windows Vista?? Theres your problem!!!!
Get access to an XP machine and try with that.
I use XP, and still no chance.......

Problem is that you have SPL 2.03 and that is not HARDSPL,

I use XP MODE, i have the same problem, but i solve problem. In Xp Mode, you have to attach usb, when rom start upload it interrupts and you have to attach usb again- it work in my case. Sorry for my english
Okay so I just got this 8525 from my friend maybe last week.
I used it for the week, and after one power off.. BAM tricolor screen on reboot.

Followed by Serial at the bottom in white.

flashing is going to be abit risky due to the fact the device is not hardSPL
try to reflash the carrier rom via USB.
well im using VISTA, i know the process for connecting to activesync is different.
somehow i was messing around trying to flash a new ROM
and i ended up with SPL-1.11
I NEED like baby step instructions on how to do this.
Read up on how to flash via sd card. !st though do a search on how to Hard sPL your hemes using sd card.. CHeers..

1st try to update your SPL. click to link.
then you can update your spl to 2.60))) click to link.
on the last you must update your ROM (to stripped as well) via USB (maybe from SD-card) click to link and you can try stock rom link
sooo, and you can upgrade your device to any custom roms from our members)

I have MDA Vario II, aka Herm300, aka Tytn ... My problem is that I've got "No GSM". So I got in forum and checked how to try to Fix it threads... So I tried by putting "Hard-SPL" and also I've tried to Upgrade "Radio", but every time when I start upgrade I recieve "Error 262" at 0%, I changed several Radio's but I had always same result. Also I've tried to downgrade to Official Rom of WM5 and it stops at 13% witn "Error 262" . So my Question is:
Is it possible that I have hardware problem not radio problem .
ATM it works fine with Schap's ROM as PDA and "No Gsm" Again ...
On Bootloader I got:
IPL-1.01
SPL-1.40.Olipro
If there is another solution that may help I'm open for advice.

Dunno if it is brick, because I cant update with most of the roms and also I get error with every radio I try to update with ... I've tried with more than 10 radio's from the archive ...
P.S. I think it is Hardware problem + I got brick and because of the hardware problem i cant reinstal rom+radio or rom to repair brick problem ...

error 206 207 200768 i dont know...i have this issues too and the cprog.exe seems to be incompatible ... my cable hasnt a good contact to the usb plus the rom i had i didnt downgrade to wmoriginal in a few times...

Hi I have the same phone a T-Mobile MDA Vario II i ran unlock program HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a - i must have run it wrong or something cause my phone has colours on the screen red green blue white with the ipl 1.01and spl 1.40 - it used to ipl 1.4 (ithink) and spl 2.14(i think) before i tried to run the hct_herm.....v3a.
Is my phone trashed or what can i do . when i plug in the usb cable the message at bottom goes from serial to usb but thats it - the active sysnc does not see the phone. help help help any advice welcome ( short of buy a new phone) this is my new phone i only got it a day ago.
