For some reason HardSPL does not work in my device (I patch it but I still see SPL 2.0.20.bla instead of G4) so in the past I used dioxda2 LazyTool to update to 6.5 and it worked fine after some tries.
However today I tried my luck updating to 6.5.1 23506 from bikertibi first using his tool but after seeing that it still doesn't work (aka doesn't patch spl) I tried using LazyTools. But it doesn't work: it always get stuck in the white screen (pda) and never leaves 0% (in computer screen). After some time a connection error is detected. Tried a lot of times without success.
Device is Prophet G4 branded as Qtek S200 and is running wm5 (installed after last update leave me in three-color boot screen).
Any idea?

2. tips for success in NVID or Flashing...
2.1 force bootloader (better tofor NVID),
2.2 stop all related connection services like My Mobiler, Mobile commander...... @ PC,
2.3 disable today plugins,
2.4 make a softreset or clear storage or a hardreset if needed,
2.5 check your usb cable and must use rear panel usb ports.....
3. Attention needed for flashing NVID,
3.1 it will stay @ 95% for a while, so please be patient,
3.2 NVID is a WM5 rom, you may immediate make a softreset before its autorun/config for time saving (you should be feeling quite hurry in ths stage ),
3.3 make an good activesync connections with NO data selected for sync,
Forn those "bullet-proof" Prophets (no change upon hardSPL, please use lazytool

This is a clean copy of windows (only ActiveSync running) and of Windows Mobile 5 (just hard-reseted).

I can flash NVID_RUU (windows mobile 5 "original") without problems.
I can't flash 6.5.1 23506 from bikertibi . Whenever I install using his tool it leaves me in three-color boot screen (after 100%, device restarts, three-color). If I try lazy tool it always gives me a connection error. PDA screen stays white, in the computer screen progress never leaves 0% and a connection error eventually appears. I've been trying for days now... :/
Any idea or suggestion?

Need help with dopod 818 pro.unable to update,gives the same error as above.I'm on a vista laptop but the update does not even leave 0%.it goes to the bootleg screen but mobile sync says it's not connected.
Tried doing a hard reset,update the drivers,tried different rom updates also.
Any help out there will be appreaciated.

2. force your prophet to bootloader mode,
3. flash NVID......

Do I really need to use a XP machine? Is there a way to fix it using my Vista machine?
I had tried on downloading a different device driver for my dopod, but its still the same.

There is a WIKI for this, but I guess you're to much in a stress to search...
First of all, Allthough it looks like that connection fails on several moments, don't panic. That's only normal, just be patient after some nailbreaking minutes (or even more...) things will continue.
What to do with your device now? Put it in bootloader mode:
Press the Camera button and soft reset. It will startup with a tricolor screen.
DISable the "allow USB connection" setting within ActiveSync
Connect your device to the USB port of your PC
Run the WM5 RUU again that you were using for the "Step1"
And now, just be patient!! First it seems to stop at 80% but it will continue. Then it pauses again at 95% but don't worry. Eventually it will make it to 100%.
After that: do nothing, don't touch nothing, just start the "Upgrade.bat" from the "Step2" folder. That will take some time to before it finishes, but it will. At last, DON'T FORGET TO MAKE A PROPER HARD RESET!

Me too .. Guess thats just normal.. Upgradnig to a hole new operating system makes you think that it is critical to your pda's life.. And when it goes wrong you think your pure prophet is gone..

I advice u following this way:
1 - U unplug the battery for few minutes, then plug it into ur device
2 - Charge ur battery until it full (about 2 hours). Note: DO NOT USE USB_CHARGE, just use the adaptor.
3 - Uninstall the current Active Sync, then install the newest Active Sync from Microsoft (ver. 4.5)
4 - Turn on ur Prophet, then make it in the Bootloader status, connect with PC, up the step 1 (from PDAViet). Be patient until it complete.
5 - Continue with any step 2 u like.

My Xda Neo, it's stucked WIN, now it appeared bootimage blue ---> Align Screen --> Win ---> hang ---> and not connect with PC by active sync " LED always ON " ).
I used J A F tool may saved myxda but i couldn' do anything ( Stranged " I can up any rom by J A F and Active Sync )
I changed from 2.20.0001 to 2.13.0001 and 1.00.0001 and more but it's not still work now. Although I downgraded but IPL/SPL not changed 2.20, only changed OS ???
Who can show me how to resolve ! Pls help me !

I need someone to provide me a proper guide that will not lead me to other topics and the files i should use in order to upgrade mu Orange M600 SPV with windows mobile 6.1 and some greek support.
Thanks a lot and sorry if i act like a total brat but i tried everything in the guides and i think its too misleading for a newbie like me.
I use this guide:
1. copy the 3 files from the jumpspl.zip (attached at the bottom of this post )to the
ROOT directory of your Prophet ( NOT NOT NOT inside the windows folder,)
2. UNPLUG/disconnect YOUR DEVICE from PC,
3. Execute the SPL.lnk IN THE DEVICE (use Total Commander recommended or you
will make errors), then you see Prophet in all bright or white screen,
4. Then plug back the USB port ( connect to computer), here, nothing will be seen in the prophet
(make step 5 NOW or you will receive errors and need to do over again),
5. THEN execute the Rom Upgrade Utility (ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe ( or G4), in the
HardSPL folder that you had downloaded, all activities will only take 2-3 minutes to go,
nothing will be seen in the Prophet screen. if you see unknown device detected (not normal) from PC, you need to repeat the above procedures.....
(P.S. if connection Error, NO PANIC, soft reset OR remove battery for half a minute and try again. )
6. after the flash completed, it will restart automatically.

But the SPL.lnk is not running either using total commander or the file explorer.What to do?
Use "Prophet Tools", there is a link in my signature.
This will allow you to HardSPL. Then, you need to get a ROM. I'd recommend one of gullums Coffie ROMs, as they have multilanguage support. They may not be WM6.1, but as far as I know, there are no WM6.1 Greek ROMs ATM.

deactivated your firewall too.
The screen should go white, as the new SPL does that!
i dont have a firewall

I also want to hard SPL my prophet but if i run the prophet tools select G4 and HARD SPL my PDA goes into a white screen and after a short time there is an error on my pc.
So i think i have almost the Same error but my code says ERROR 208 (CANT OPEN FILE)...

As soon as i'm asked if i want to let jumpspl.exe access my prophet (TC500) and i choose yes the screen is fading to white, the usb-connection is closed and my prophet is doing nothing.
I tried it a few times and also tried another usb-cable and another usb-Port but nothing helped. My os ist xp sp3, firewall and Anti-Virus are disabled.
I tried to download the mentioned file in this thread but it isn't available anymore.
Please help me, this is getting on my nerves.

Try lazy tools by Dioxda2
Guys i tried to upgrade my imate jasmin, to wm6 the problem was that it started to upgrade the rom but the process was interrupted, when i tried to turn it on again it does not pass the initial blue screen that gives the info of the rom. The active sync does not work because the PDA does not connect to the computer and doesn´t pass from the initial blue screen.
Is there anything you can do, or the PDA is to the trash.

well i used the rom that is the upgrade for wm6 that is on the portal, the one that is for prophet, but the upgrade didn´t reach the end and now the pda does not pass from the blue initial screen and it isn´t possible to achive any type of conection to the PC i don´t know what to do...

In ur case, although the connection seem disabled, we could still force the activesync to work for flashing. Just right click the activesync icon in lower right corner of ur pc, choose connection, force it to search the usb. retry once or twice if u r not sure, then try to reflash the rom while the activesync seem still searching for devices. If it won't start, then the better way is to follow the step from Dioxda2 above. If it started halfway as before mean u have to re download the rom with its all suitable methode such as Hardspl, jumpSpl etc.
This work on my Dopod 818pro while stucked on 3 colour bootloader screen. Hope it will work on ur case too. Good luck.

The problem I have is that my HD2 used to last for about 48hrs, but after playing around with it as we do with roms! the battery life suddenly drained in hours.
Battery used to last about 48 hrs with a charge time of less than 2 hrs. It then started to last 8hrs with a 4hr charge time, now it lasts 6hrs.
This is with all apps turned off no data connection, only sending txt and quick calls during the day. 100% power at night and it will be dead by the morning!
I have removed all programs and gone back to UK t mobile 1.72 rom, with same results.
I phoned T mobile and they have been kind enough to send me another free battery to solve the problem but to no avail!!!!
I am now going to send it back to get repaired, however HSPL is installed and it is being a proper pain to remove. I have done searches and watched the utube clips, so please dont say use search, as I have done for 2 days now!!
My HD2 will not enter bootloader by the buttons, I HAVE to use the bootloader cab file and install it and do it that way. Next problem is when it asks me to press the power button to start update image, it does not respond to the power button or the down button to cancel! (have to pull battery of to restart)
I have tried lots of renamed ruu_signed files (uk t mobile and htc) on a FAT32 formatted SD card, same problem.
details are as follows
OS version 5.2.21889 (21889.5.0.87)

I downloaded and tried to install HSPL2 from the search results.
I follow the on screen instructions, as it waits for a USB connection I get an critical error box appear on the laptop.
Flow: 00000001
Error code: 00000002
Description: USB Connect failed!
Freezes on the bootloader screen.
I have tried all 3 USB ports on the laptop and another USB cable to no joy!
Has my phone got gremlins crawling inside it or what!
Any help to save my sanity will be greatly appreciated!

normally i would say enter bootloader manually then run hspl but you cant, so, let it fail, then exit hspl, leave teh phone in bootloader, and run it again. You can try over and over, different ports, whatever, no need to re start the phone each time, just leave it in bootloader and connect the usb cable.
As always, the following applies,
1 - right click hspl.exe and choose run as administrator
2 - dont use front mounted usb ports, or ports through hubs, DO use a port around back of the pc (i.e one connected to teh motherboard) EDIT - oh its a laptop, could be problematic, find a friend with a real computer.
Just cos a port works for active sync doesnt mean it will work for hspl, so keep trying ports.
If all else fails use a different pc.
Cancel last, it just worked!!!

you said you upgraded teh rom to 1.72, , well if you hadnt had hspl installed it would have upgraded the spl to 1.66.0000, which is why i said go for that one.

Hi, my device version is i780BVGK3, i have download some flashing guide, but "hold down ENTER and FUNCTION keys'' doesn't work so mirage detect nothing ...
Also do i need do flash the russian roms and then some eng roms before flashing to wm 6.5 as is in that quide ???
(the function key is probably the black/white key for writing numbers ???)
Btw is there any other way to flash (sd card, other program)
And the official firmware updater also don't work, ask me to press ok to reset device and then .... try again, can't acess device
I really don't want that buggy WM6.0, help

Question is quite a range to make an right answer.
Try to disable antivirus filrewalls on pc before trying to flash.
Firewall and antivirus disabled, still not working (official updater to wm6.1 - "timeout, try again") ... maybe windows7 problem ???
But the flashing by mirage, power on with pressed ENTER and ALT buttons also does nothing, phone boots normally and mirage doesn't detect
ALT button is that black/white for input numbers ?
I press them down and then power, hold everything together but nothing happens ...

Holding buttons then releasing "power", device going to power up, but keep other buttons pressed till boot screen appears. Yes win 7 is not supported, but you can manage it by some ways. Use XP or Vista.

It must to enter loader mode this way or its not sgh-i780

Ok, the solution was to upgrade to the official wm6.1, after this the boot screen become accessible, before really NOT !
Now i am using your wm 6.5 final and it works (especially the mouse) like a charm, thank you for your advice and really good rom
Btw maybe you should mention somewhere in your flashing guide that if the boot screen is not accessible the official upgrade is required

first methode mensioned on this post works very well. Only from myself I should to notice that you should load win7 in "test mode" to install attached drivers.
Personally im on win7 64 bit and using this driver.
I haven't try in win7, official wm6.1 upgrade doesn't work in win7 so i go to my "xp pc friend" and there made complete flashing - wm6.1 from samsung site and wm6.5 through mirage ...
