Hi there, I have just upgraded or should i say tried to upgrade to the new WM6 coffie ROM and the Krystal ROM but with both of these I can flash, however upon reboot it stays at the 3 colour screen
I have followed the Hard SPL guide for a G3 ---- Check
So what have I done? please someone help - it's a mates phone
also I tried to go back to the original WM5 from the FTP site, but it fails because I have updated the SPL, I would appreciate a link to a WM5 that doesn't check and that is in english........ if that would fix the problem
One last thing - i tried to use the update tools again but it says there is no device connected so I did a hard reset and tried again but no go, after a hard reset i can flash the other roms though

Hey there, would this be the problem? I thought Jumpspl was included in the initial upgrade tools folder?
Is this the same? and also does this problem (tri color screen) happen when it hasn't been properly flashed with the hard spl?

that is good and for experience users, mine is mostly for juniors. Please read and nothing bad.
The jumpspl... 100% work, and follow the steps, never fail.
Will your method work when not booting?
Just read your method and I hope to try it soon, but will your method work if it is not booting --- the method sounds like it needs the system to boot is this correct?

** FIRST : lets know names of prophet :

** SECOND : we must know that before we trying to do any updating or change roms on my prophet i just need to do which called unlock for the prophet and then we after that been able to change any rom on my ( jamin ) and of course u need to be careful about Your device is it G4 or G3 ,
# and how we know its G4 Or G3 ?
# when u start Your Device u will see some numbers on left,

and may be changed and that goes to the rom which You have, now we look for the last number on ( IPL and SPL ) , if we found it ( 0 ) it means You r G3 and if it ( 1 ) so You r G4 .
** THIRD : lets go to unlock , i will put programs in this thread it will help u in unlock.
-- Sync your device with computer and open the file u download it called HardSpl you will find two files one one foe G3 and G4 open your kind then you'll find a file called (( hardspl.bat )) okay, be sure your device is connected to computer then open the file and follow instruction and it will reset your device ,
now u ready to change rom.

What is the IPL and SPL?
If the wiki where up, I'd suggest looking at that, but as it is I'll explain it now...
What ROM where you attempting to upgrade to?
To get the device back, I would say "Read the wiki" but it's down!!!
Download this ROM.
In ActiveSync, disable "connect through USB" (File->Connection Settings).
Put the device into bootloader (the three coloured screen) and connect it to the computer using the USB cable.
Run the file you downloaded earlier. This should then install a new ROM.
From there, just wait for it to finish.
Now, it should work!
From there, you could re install the Orange WM5 ROM, or try upgrading to WM6. Make sure you read all the relevant guides first!

hi again brothers, pal zerocool. first u must unlock ur device to be able to accept any rom after that and solve pproblems.
first flash this rom its offecial and it solve dead prophet problems.
then make hard spl by program open file called hardspl.bat.
make hard reset.
flash ur rom u want.
make hard reset again.
then enjoy.
i uploaded the hardspl program but i couldnt upload the rom its so big so u can look in ur mail u will find the solution.
u can extract file by any program for zip.and tell me the news

Hi guys,
I have been using a sh... Nokia sine I broke my prophet G4 in december by upgrading the OS.
I had downgraded first to NVID and then I tried to upgrade and it fails at 95%.
Sine this day, my prophet seem totally dead, no light when plug on both charger or computer, windows do not recognize at all the device because it is turned off. And it really do not seem to charge...
I am living in China now and a guy told me I had to change the PB board...The ost is 100Euros, but I am almost sure I an find another solution...
The weird thing is I cannot charge it at all ( I mean no lights but does it charge a little?).
The guy tested my prophet with another battery and in that ase, it is stuck on the bootloader.
We tried several roms and it always fails at 95% and the error is 200 something, maybe 245 or 243, I do not remember sorry...
Is my phone hardware is dead? or it is just a software problem and I did not see the right guy?
Do I need to buy a new battery? I have read that sometimes the device is not able to recognize it even if it the offiial one and even if it is working on another device...
PLease help me I don't want to loose this phone that I've been using for almost 3 years...
Otherwise I will switch to an iphone but I am not sure to be as happy than I was with my prophet.

Can it enter bootloader at all?
If yes, what are the IPL and SPL?
If not, it will be a hardware problem (may just be connectors to the battery but may be something more).
the only way of recovery is using jtag
but 1st we must discover the location of jtag pins on motherboard
I just do not know because with my actual battery, anything is possible....
when I tried with the guy and a new battery it was blocked on the bootloader, but don't remember the IPL and SPL...sorry
I may be right about the battery onnectors though, but the problems seem to be from the phone connectors or the battery it self???

If it can enter bootloader, it is almost certainly your battery at fault!
Ok so i burnt my battery during the upgrade...
But why is it still blocking at 95% when he tried to put a rom?
With his battery, it was stuck on the bootloader and not possible to install a rom, even a NVID WM5...

I have an T-Mobile Ameo (also known Athena X7500) and i tried the Olipro Unlocker, but the installation didnt finish, at 59% stopped. After that i turn off the device, then turn on, but my device still have a 4 colour screen,red, green, blue and white, it doesnt boot the Windows Mobile, just have the installation screen...

Use olipro's tool again and then flash your final ROM
i tried it many times, but since than my Athena X7500 was dead, the Olipros unlocker doesnt work. The program said: "The Update Utility cannot connect your PDA phone"
In bootloader (coloured screen), does it say anything? if so what? when you try to flash a rom or use unlocker do you get a code? is your memory card out of the slot?

i will try it, but i dont know where can i find my original rom...
and my second biggest trouble: in this mode, i cant charge my batteries. If i dont find an solution this problem soon, i think, my device will be a BIG trouble. Grrr, i hate olipros program...

Some others have reported better luck with the shipped WM6 rom if they had trouble unlocking.
I installed the NET Framework 2.0 SP2 in my device and i put out my sim and sd card. And when i flashing the Olipros Unlocker, it went to 100%, but my SPL is still 1.1

the net framework should be on your computer.
what OS is on your computer ?
May be better if you use winXP
did you install an oficial wm6 rom ?

My computer also have the NET Framework 2.0 SP2. And when the flashing didn't work, i also installed the NET Framework 3.5 SP1, but, when i flashing a ROM in my decive, it also went to 100%, but the SPL is still 1.1.
I use a 32-bit Windows XP in my computer.
My T-Mobile Ameo (Athena) is a second hand device, it was used when i bought. But the first user said me, that the original OS was the Windows Mobile 5 in my Athena, but he update from Windows Mobile 5 to Windows Mobile 6.0. He said that he update with an official T-Mobile way.

I saw someone with the same problem as you here awhile back and he was able to fix it. So keep your post alive or read the sticky post under the Upgrade section. I believe that was where I read it.

after a lot of search, finally I got here and read this post...
I encountered the same problem, and I think my phone is 80% dead!
My phone was unlocked, but carelessly, I didn't complete the hard-SPL flash procedure and flash a new ROM directly, so it is dead...
I downloaded an original Orange ROM, but process stopped @4%, and returned "INVALID VENDER ID". Is there anyway that I can flash a new ROM?
Now my phone can enter the rainbow screen only, and it reads:
ONBL 1.08.0000
SPL 1.08.0000
Any experts here can offer a solution? Can I flash rom via SD card, and how? Really really appreciate your help.

This model is already quite old. Not sure if anyone still encounter the same problem. Anyway, I'd like to share how I did it, just in case it still helps you.
The key point is called "HTC Goldcard". It is made of a normal Mini-SD card, but it helps you to get a super-CID in tri-color mode.
Google it to find more details, and I am sure you guy can work it out yourselves. You could PM me as well, if you understand my Chinglish

The HTC GoldCard is a great way of rescuring a WM smart phone or ppc,it not only works on c100,but also other HTC mobile sevices

I just flashed my HTC 7500 with SPL 1.2 by installing AthenaWrapper which went through successfully. After upgradation , I flashed the ROM with SPL3.5_R6.5_B3_WM6.5_B21198.rar which also got installed successfully with no errors at all. However after installation , when the HTC was starting , it is just stuck at white screen and does not go ahead at all. I have tried all things including hard reset , but the phone does not come out of the white screen.
Can someone please help URGENTLY ? have I missed something during the installation ? How can I get the unit to boot atleast . In the bootloader screen , the SPL does show as 1.2.
Kindly help please ???

Hi there,
You have answered your own question. you up graded to spl1.2 and then flashed with an spl3.5 rom. you should have flashed an spl 1.2 rom. To use an spl 3.5 rom you need to upgrade again with AP4.0 rom that has the upgrade built in. there is no other way of doing it.
Now you will have to fix your athena with THIS HELPread from post 33onwards, and please read the athena WIKI.

Thanks for your quick reply. How do I get the Athena connected to my PC now ? I can't connect it through Activesync as it does not boot and is in white screen. Also I tried to put it in boot loader mode and then run the updater.exe but it displays a 'Timeout message ' whether the device is coonected and that Active sync is running ?
Can I install 1.2 ROM if that's possible ? If yes , can you let me know which ROM with SPL 1.2 ver can work ? I am just worried now as my Athena may be completely dead and I can't use it.

Guess what!
You are not the first person to make the mistake you have made and it is documented in several places.
Jay pointed you to the specific post that will fix your problem but he also mentioned you should read the wiki.
i will add to this that you should also read the sticky threads at the top of this forum which include "the beginners guide to upgrading the ROM"
and another thread titled "How to FIX INVALID MODEL ID after bad flashing"
You have corrupted the radio by trying to flash an SPL3.5 ROM onto a phone formatted for SPL1.2.
These roms are different sizes and it wont fit, leading to the unintended consequence.
As I said in the beginners guide , you can flash from bootloader(the 3 coloured screen"
I hope all new owners read this thread and the others I mentioned as it will help prevent the angst you are feeling.

Absolutely brilliant !!
My Athena is breathing again and is out of the dead white screen. I followed the steps to fix the model id and wifi (from CMonex ) and was able to overwrite the model id successfully. I then flashed it with ROM WM6.1 MULTILANG R6.1 MiChY which also got installed successfully. On bootloader screen it now shows as:
ATHE100
IPL-v1.00
ATHE100
SPL-v1.20.Olipro

I just want to know now which is the best stable SPL1.2 ROM now which i can install. I want to install 1.2 ROM with HTC Plugin and the big Digital clock and also which will have GPS. My previous ROM had QuickGPS which doesn't seem to be there now and is there way I could get it back. How can I use GPS on Athena.
Apologies as this device is completely new to me i am still getting used to its functions by reading lot of articles and WIKI for this model.
I am scared to put SPL3.5 as I might break something again. My donation is on its way.

Just update to the 3.5 spl much much easier that way instead of waiting for anyone to backport their stuff to the 1.2 spl
