Try saving the nbh to you're storage card as herming.nbh and flash the stock rom this way... then try updating you're rom again.

I wish you guys would do a little reading...
The flash file consists of 2 files, the RUU_Wrapper.exe and the RUU_signed.NBH file.
If yours is just an exe file then use winrar to extract the 2 files.
You also need to have Hard SPL V7 installed, if you dont then go to last paragragh......
1. Format a 2Gb or less sd card FAT32. Copy .nbh file to it.
2. Rename to hermimg.nbh. Insert into Hermes.
3. Reboot into bootloader/tri-colour screen.
If you have done everything right, follow onscreen instructions. If not then go through again, step by step.
If this doesn't work, drop kick your Hermes into next year cos it isn't gonna be fixed without a LOT of reading and I quit here....

How to flash it by SD card?
Better if u do it through hard drive(PC) than SD card. Just use ROMUpdateUtility.exe (which will be in the same folder as your new Rom alongwith few dll and exe) few clicks and u r done. Write back if u still face some trouble.
Regarding tricolour screen problem see the video posted by bryangopan.Its good and explanatory.

Hi,
I'm trying to update my phone from last 1 week but god no luck
1st Method I Try:
If I use JumpSPL.exe put 0x10000000 with 1.10-Olipro.nb , I use Power & Camera Buttons, it gets "Not Connected" in ActiveSync and then while I'm holding it, after a couple of sconds, it gets Connected in ActiveSync, I then release Camera and Power, Use ROMUpdateUtility.exe Agree to everything, It gets stared, on 2% of Update, gives me this.

2nd Method I've Tried
Normally connected the phone through cable, did a Sync and ran ROMUpdateUtility.exe, It boots up with tricolor screen, gets to 2% and gives same message as in image.
I have 5 Images downloaded from this site, how can all be bad if users are able to upgrade their OS

Though not udpated to WM6.1, I've created "How To" for upgrading WM5 to WM6. Get it from here, hope this will help.
Brothers, your SPLs have not got patched that's why u r facing this problem.Try this

Just copy this in your phone and run it.It will automatically flash your SPL and reboot.On reboot you should now see SPL as 1.10OLip.Now u can flash any ROM to your device.

I hawe tryed this solution bro but its not help
hey i am also having same problem as polifon....tried everything ...the gene is stuck in tricolor screen....not able to load any new rom ...neither the original one is loading....no response from the phone...when i press soft-reset and camera button together i see the tricolor screen and nothing else....

1. Copy da files contains diskimg.nb0 and ExtendedRom.img from Helloworld1 to SD card via activesycn,
if u use a card reader that would be great. Just remember to put those two files in da storage card (but not in a folder) like this :

here is a Format failed solution to test for you guys.
It is a first Idea and not final. I'll write a script and repack it if it works.
Here is how to do it:
First you need the NoID RUU to flash the ROMs.
You can get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=42657&d=1183226200
Then you first have to flash the Charmer Aku 1 with the NoID RUU.
You can get the Aku 1 here: ftp://xda:[email protected]_1120223_11202110_11220_T-MobileUK_Ship.rar
After that you have to flash the Prophet Aku 2 with NoID too.

The final Step is to reflash the Aku 3 alst to flash with NoID.

After that all your Charmer should Format and boot again.
To flash a ROM with the NoID tool you have to copy the NK.nbf from the ROM folder to the NOID folder.
The Aku3 has to be extracted first. (Use WINRAR or SevenZIP and extrackt using context menu). Don't run it it won't extract it will start flashing!

I don't see, what I'm doing wrong. I added nk.nbf file to NOiD folder, that you have sent me and this showes me after I clik on update...
OK I read about the problem. Try the Aku3 in your Language or try the German one.
If both don't work I'mm make you a custom version of noptures WM6 with bootloader included so that you can use that to get the loader up again.
And next time don't read old howtos or read them to the end. In one post Vlodec says that CID unlock isn't needed.
You should have read that and all would be fine now.

And back to my Charmer. I tried German AKU3 but the same problem was shown...But it still work with AKU1, so It's not been absolutely damaged yet.
I tested the german Aku 3 here. When does the problem show up? After klicking sometimes or directly when opening the utility?

When I open the noid utility, click next, next, the program starts searching my device. When it searches it, I click on "update" and the next page is "error [238] : File read" as i wrote in the last post.

Try to copy all the files to C:/ ,so to the root directory.I read something about it years ago,it worth a try.
The readme file in the RUU says:
ERROR [238] : FILE READ
This error message may appear when, for some unknown reason, the ROM image on the phone is corrupt. Download the whole RUU and try again.
I can't see the logic of this sentence.If the ROM image is corrupt ON THE PHONE(????) then why should I download the RUU again?It's not clear for me,I hope it's just because I don't speak english too well.
So i tried this (copy all files from RUU to root of my pc), but noting has changed...still "File read"... Now I'm flashing AKU1 ROM to get device back working...
I have an idea. Try to flash vlodecks Rom with that NoID RUU I gave you.
If that works I'll build you a pachted WM6 with the SPL and so on in soon so that you can upgrade. Would you test that for me?

I think, i flashed it one time and it's just worked, but for absolute certainty...

Yes, but the NOiD RUU stucks in "FILE READ" error... I've uploaded the screen here...
Also the one that came with the WM6? Strange! Are you sure the file is called nk.nbf and is around 70MB big?

I don't understand your post, but if I'm right so - The nk.nbf file in the screen is extracted from the AKU3 Deutsch ROM

Hello to all.
I need help with my friends u8800 pro.
I have an u8800 and successfully rooted and running oxygen till now fine.
I tried the same procedure on u8800pro unfortunately it failed (probably rooting was not done)
Tried also installing other ROMs (now for u8800pro)
Actual status of the u8800pro is now
1. ClockworkMod 5.5.0.4 is in the "Image" folder
2. instalation of 20120107-cm-7.1.0-u8800pro-Geno-en.zip was done (without errors)
3. on normal boot/power on it stuck on huawei logo
4. but: by entering USB it starts in charging mode (battery on the screen) and no problem reaching Image folder or booting in CWM

Of course I have an backup (used ClockworkMod 5.5.0.4), but when I tried to recover it did not worked =without changes -booting stuck on first screen "huawei"

If this happen to anybody.
1. pink screen
2. copy over backedup boot.img or/and recovery.img (if you were using other/modified recovery or boot soft as me)
3. download actual soft from manufacturer for example huawei
4. follow the steps packed inside distributed kernel
5. in this case -create "dload" folder in root of SD. put first uprade file "UPDATE.APP" inside. Boot with all buttons pushed (as pink screen) update will start. In step 2 put the other update to the same folder but rename the second file to "UPDATE_g.APP" and repeat as first step (as pink screen) update will continue.
6. power on normally (I did it WITHOUT SD)
7. should run, by patient, it take some time to sett up fresh soft.
8. there is also step 3 if you want to use chines. Putt step 3 file in the dload folder. Start phone normally. Go to phone settings, sd card, software upgrade and follow the steps asked.

I need some clear instructions, and software needed to install Windows 7 on my TG01. I do not know most of the stuff I see posted in threads, so I need something even a retard could do.
It already has WM 6.5 on it. And it works well. I need something with a great chance of not bricking it.

There is certainly not an obvious way to flash a TG01, especially to WP7, so here is a rough guide it's not perfect but hopefully this works for you. Please read and download everything you need before beginning the process.
Step 1: Flash WP7 bootloader
1) Download and install TG Downloader and the USB drivers. Reboot PC.
2) Fully charge your device battery. (Buy a cheap universal battery charger from eBay if necessary.)
3) Switch off your device.
4) Place your TG01 into "Download mode" as follows...
Devices with 0321 ROMs: Hold down Camera + Power buttons on boot.
Otherwise: Remove back cover, battery and SIM card. Carefully remove black sticker where the SIM card was. Get a piece of copper wire and twirl it so that you can easily hold it and touch Pin 1 and Pin 3 at the same time (known as "shorting"), see below image. Replace battery, short the pins with the copper wire and press the Power button.

After either of these your device should display a white LED on the front which means it is in Download mode. If not, switch off and try again. Also if using the PIN method, maybe try holding the Reset button on the back for 10 seconds straight after pressing the Power button.
5) Connect phone to PC. Start TG Downloader with admin rights (right-click shortcut or EXE and choose "Run as administrator".
6) TG Downloader will display an error, click "yes". Click change port to change to Toshiba DL port if necessary. Click "Download mode".
7) Download and extract wp7boot.bin, browse to it in TG Downloader and click "Start Download".
8) Do not disconnect your phone until the process completes, it shouldn't take longer than 5-10mins.
Step 2: Flash WP7 ROM
1) Download and extract these OS files. Install the Acer driver (32 or 64bit) and the ZTEiT Common Downloader.
2) Download a WP7 ROM. I recommend one of the latest 7.8 builds. Once the ROM is downloaded, extract, rename to flash.bin and place in the same directory as NPRG8650.hex and partition.mbn.
3) Fully charge your device battery.
4) Switch off your device.
5) Hold Camera + Power to boot into Download mode, device should display a blue LED.
6) Connect to PC. Start ZTEiT Common Downloader. Select Multi-Download.
7) Browse to folder with downloaded files. Click advanced and for each of the three files (flash.bin, NPRG8650.hex and partition.mbn) browse to them.
8) Click Start to begin flashing process. Do not disconnect device until complete. Could take 15-25mins.
Then your device should boot up into your new WP7 software. Please note camera does not function in any WP7 builds AFAIK and there may be bugs or other limitations.
If this guide works, please go thank these guys: qinwengui, mirolg, arag0n85 and kevinpwhite. Of course thank the ROM creator too :victory:

Could anyone please help/assist me with this problem i would be great full.
I have a toshiba TG01 phone with windows moblie 6.5
I'm trying to upgrade/flash to load windows mobile 7 (mi7ROM_4_tango_8773_final.zip)
and i am failling to do it..
when i get to short hot wireing the phone to force it to install the contents of the "PRG" folder it comes with a white screen saying filed to download.
what files should be in the "PRG" and what do they do/mean?

If so, that'd be very helpful if you can re-upload it to somewhere...
